As much as I detest cynicism I think the current crop of self help ghurus and scam artists place way too much mystical importance on a more positive outlook. In a way we must be carefull of loosing our reason to a glass is half full rose colored glasses mentality. Remember Dr. Phil is as much PROPAGANDA as the Disney Channel. Only not as dark. I say take the best from everything and incorporate it into our lives. Be more cynical when choosing though.

I think Yo Yo Ma said something that is very true and even if it's not a 2008 issue it's a great answer and idea.
I think that the Davos question is a great way for people to think about what we can do to achieve "making this world a better place".
Yo Yo Ma is a very great man. His music is awesome and just because he's not making modern music it doesn't mean he doesn't make great music.

I think my answer to the Davos Question is:Music or any kinds of "Arts" would help to train our "Imagination", thus, eventually they would help us to understand others. Whenever I listen to"your music", I can imagine the
composer's life, his romance, or his purpose.
