You can fix the tapco magazine problem by taking a wire wheel to the front and back sides of the magazine. I am not sure what it is about doing that, but it allows you to fit the full 30 rounds, and since the sides are now smooth, reloads are much easier.

This Nick guy is partially right you know... The slant brake is basically just a compensator not a brake.. Most muzzle brakes and compensators do the same thing they use gas to brake the recoil and to compensate the muzzle rise, but not the slant brake .. it is just a compensator.. really useful only at full auto.. it is also outperformed by any modern ak muzzle brake...
Nice Video.. It was my understanding that the stock Compensator is to minimize the rise of the barrel when firing. The Muzzle Brake is to relieve the kick on the shoulder with counter pressure, same as the Compensator uses muzzle pressure to keep the barrel down hence the bootom is flaired out. I undertand the brake also helps rise due to the minimized kick. Wow I agree can't we all get along .. The Muslims are coming !

That looks pretty sharp, I put an AK-74 style brake on my Lancaster Arms AK-47, pretty kewl until I dropped the rifle and bent it, doh! So I put the original back on until I could fix it or get a new one.

Don't get pro-mags, get the Bulgarian polymer waffle mags. They've got a metal frame inside them for strength. Tapco and Pro-mag are pure shit. Load one and drop it a couple of times. They'll crack.
The original part is not a MUZZLE BRAKE. It's a compensator. It was design only to compensate an upward movement of a barrel.
If you noticed, AK bolt carrier is not exactly symmetrical - it has more weight on the right side, thus the compensator is located under 45 degrees to the left, to trow rifle down-left to compensate that violent up and to the right recoil.
I would suggest you to put the original part back, it's much more needed than a muzzle brake. AK-47needs a COMPENSATOR, not a brake

Good vid. Stay away from the promags, they're horrible. My dad got some for his SKS (I know, different gun but still) and they didn't work at all. Rounds wouldn't feed.
Tapco mags are decent, but the best AK mags are either the Bulgarian "Circle 10" waffle mags, or surplus steel mags.

My friend's SKS with the furniture kit w/collapsible stock was awesome. The same goes for his AK T6 stock. very well put together, I don't care if people bash the company, they have convinced me of their quality. I do need to get a Glock though, but there are a million calibers and sizes to choose from. My head would explode lol.

I would start off by getting 1 promag and seeing if it works. I bought 3, of them at a gunshow because I like the waffle look, took them to the range and only one would feed the rifle correctly. I took them back to the same guy the next show and he was pretty cool about it, he let me exchange them for tapco. I don't like the look of the tapcos but they sure run like hell.

Tapco mags are actually pretty good. Pro mag isn't bad but I prefer the Circle10 Bulgarian ak mags. Best AK mags you can buy. Check K-var's site. There expensive but very worth it. As far as those tapco mags having a wide bottom. That's just for ease of extraction from a mag pouch.

You should have got the PWS FSC47. The best break IMO. Check it out...they have some youtube vids on it. People shooting fully auto with one hand. I have one and I love it. Plus it looks bad ass.

Yeah they look very cool, but be careful. My friend had a hard time fitting his and it rattled sometimes. I think he just took out too much than he needed, but the rail ended up getting a little loose after a few mags and when he went to put his stock furniture back on, it ended up being looser than when he first bought it. Your probably more mechanically inclined and better with your hands than he is, but just a little warning.
I put a utg quad rail on on of my Romanian's. Went on no mods what so ever. 3 min install. Go ahead and get some different rail covers. the utg covers are huge. When you put them on it will look like a plastic kids softball bat.
other than that its kinda heavy compared to the plastic or wood OEM forearm.
ps, if the video ideas get slow feel free toi break away from guns to show some of the other stuff you mentioned...Im sure alot of people wouldbe interested in that stuff, myself included...

Good vid. Stay away from the promags, they're horrible. My dad got some for his SKS (I know, different gun but still) and they didn't work at all. Rounds wouldn't feed.
Tapco mags are decent, but the best AK mags are either the Bulgarian "Circle 10" waffle mags, or surplus steel mags.

That's a great AK Pete. I gotta tell you I like the "DOG SHIT" muzzle brake better. LOL! But like they say "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." It's a great gun either way. would love to have it. hopefully I'll have one by June. sorry to here about the trolls but keep up the great videos!

@theArmedJanitor Shit, I'd have a field day at those two places alone. Tapco has some of the best aftermarket furniture I've seen. My friend's SKS with the furniture kit w/collapsible stock was awesome. The same goes for his AK T6 stock. very well put together, I don't care if people bash the company, they have convinced me of their quality. I do need to get a Glock though, but there are a million calibers and sizes to choose from. My head would explode lol.

Yo Pete I have an SKS and it looks like those foregrips are similar looking and I switched out the wood stock for a plastic one and the foregrips were a fucken pain in the ass to due and I kinda fucked em up.

I would start off by getting 1 promag and seeing if it works. I bought 3, of them at a gunshow because I like the waffle look, took them to the range and only one would feed the rifle correctly. I took them back to the same guy the next show and he was pretty cool about it, he let me exchange them for tapco. I don't like the look of the tapcos but they sure run like hell.

The new muzzlebreak looks much better than the stock one, but an ak74 type muzzle break would be even better, but maybe that's just me.

Tapco mags are actually pretty good. Pro mag isn't bad but I prefer the Circle10 Bulgarian ak mags. Best AK mags you can buy. Check K-var's site. There expensive but very worth it. As far as those tapco mags having a wide bottom. That's just for ease of extraction from a mag pouch.

You should have got the PWS FSC47. The best break IMO. Check it out...they have some youtube vids on it. People shooting fully auto with one hand. I have one and I love it. Plus it looks bad ass.

I actually like the slant muzzle break, but we all have opinions. I actually like the Tapco polymer mags. They work very well in my WASR.

Yeah they look very cool, but be careful. My friend had a hard time fitting his and it rattled sometimes. I think he just took out too much than he needed, but the rail ended up getting a little loose after a few mags and when he went to put his stock furniture back on, it ended up being looser than when he first bought it. Your probably more mechanically inclined and better with your hands than he is, but just a little warning.

I put a utg quad rail on on of my Romanian's. Went on no mods what so ever. 3 min install. Go ahead and get some different rail covers. the utg covers are huge. When you put them on it will look like a plastic kids softball bat.
other than that its kinda heavy compared to the plastic or wood OEM forearm.
