Hi. The Mummy movies have been the ones of my favorites but I'm a bit disappointed not to see Ardeth Bay (eye candy)...and I agree that there has been no particular link between the previous Mummies with the Dark Emperor one..A lot has been changed like Evy character and from what I heard and saw from the trailer, well, I have to say that I will probably not going to see it, I just have this feeling that I will not be impressed and the whole thing is weird.

I totally see your point. I thought I had mentioned that in the video, but I guess i forgot. I do agree that people coming back from the undead is completely unrealistic, but at the same time in lots of movies where they bring sort of "impossible" features, I think that they still need to bring realistic parts to a movie. like in a sci-fi movie, somebody walks around space without a suit on for like ten minutes.

I see where you're coming from. what I do in some cases is research how the film is going and then talk about it, then when the movie comes into theaters I do a review on it to see how it all played out.

The thing that scares me about TM3 is that Rachel Weisz didn't agree to play the part because of "script disagreements." At least, that's what IMDB says. In other words, Weisz probably thought the script was crap. It used to say it was because she was in the middle of filming another film, but I don't think that was it.

If you notice, age doesn't seem to be an issue in any of the movies. What always bothered me about TMR was that it's set in 1933, seven years after TM. Yet Alex says he's 8!

Well, my first reaction to hearing Weisz would not be in it and that Bello would be replacing her was the same as the Majority of the other comments: Disappointment. However, still being down about that fact and even having a couple ideas myself of what they could of done for this film, I now kind of think this film might have a chance. I've watched an interview with Bello explaining the "new" Evelyn, and yet, her costume was that of the old Evelyn, the only difference was her face.

I personally have an interest for both Ancient Egypt and Ancient China, so I believe that the setting and then action of the film should make up for the replacement of Evelyn and other disappointments. Besides, the directors have some good numbers for films themselves aswell, they may not appeal to the same genres or audience, but I would not simply discard the productions and directors just yet. If this movie will not be good, it'll surely be okay.

BTW, you made alot of good points that I noticed myself from reading stuff about the production. I wouldn't be surprised if the release of the Mummy trailer is slapped onto Indiana Jones which comes out May 16th. The Mummy comes out later on like in June. The director and writer is different too I think, so it'll probably suck =(

I agree with your thoughts on this movie. I want to see it and hope that they don't screw it up. They also should have had the original person for Evelyn as well. The concept is what gets me though. The first two movies were in Egypt, and now, 15+ years later its in China? I wonder who comes up with the ideas for these too, since the first two were very good, but this latest one I don't know if I can trust it or not. Seems to be a bit too unrealistic.

You have really good points man but just a bit of advice on any future videos; you should pick up the pace a bit, maybe plan ahead what your going to say or maybe just do some editing and cuts its just that this was a kind of tedious to watch, you could probably have cut it down to 2 or 3 min. I glad however that they are going in a diffrent direction with this movie focusing on a Chinese mummy instead of a and Egytian one again. It's also been confirmed that there will be a Mummy 4 and it's rumored that the villians will be both Qin Shi Huang (Jet Li's charcter) and Imhotep from the last 2 films.

oh I'm not criticizing (I can never spell that word properly) Jet Li, frankly I think he'll make a good villain. but I would really like to have seen ardeth bay come back (maybe the O'Connells coming to get him). the thing I do like about the whole China thing is that it's not focusing on a stereotype (Egypt and Mummies going hand in hand). I like that idea of a God as the villain or something (maybe like Set or Anubis again) thanks for the post.

Adeth was my favourite character in the other films so I know what you mean but then again I don't think it would make sense for him to be in this 1 considering he was meant to guard the Tomb from the first 1. The other thing was I don't really think of The Scorpion King as a spin-off I just think of them as totally seperate films myself.

I have a feeling I will end up seeing this one I think I am a lot more open-minded (at least movie wise) but I can be proven wrong against my own judgment. I didn't want to go to see 300 at first but then I saw it and it's one of my favourite movies.

It's sad that not all the characters returned. I think you're certainly right on Jet Li being good for the action sequences! I saw him in Fearless, which had some amazing fighting. Did you like the New Hulk trailer? I think it looks better than the last Hulk.

Yeah, I would also worry about that. But I was happy to see it made like a normal film, instead of a actual comic-book. I mean I loved comics, I've read the first 113 Spider-Man comics but a movie should be an adaption not a copy so let's hope this Hulk does a good job at that.
