Not bad at keep those rear-end stedy in that tight Tsukuba Circut.

the circut is not really meant to stretch those muscles that big power cars have unlike Nurburgring. notice Z06 only goes up to 4th gear and most turns are 2nd gear turns.

RR or MR cars tend have advantage in traction especially in first couple laps untill those tires warm up for FR cars.

first couples laps are for Porsche and Ferraris and Lambos.

BUT notice the Z06 creeping up to them as the laps go on!

@golf1diesel: We praise corvettes because of their great performance for their cheaper price tag. Not to mention Corvette racing has been very successful just recently in GT1 racing. Why should we care about a few plastic components in a 100k car that can do 200mph straight from the factory? The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 was a million dollar car and had a body half made from aluminum and had plastic paddle shifters. But no one has a problem with that.

Not to debate with the fact that u know wut ur talking about or anything, but I dont see him missing apexs unless hes forcing a pass like he did on the 1st lap 2nd turn blocking the Porsche on his outside a lot of oversteer yes, but it was the 2nd turn after a dig start. Im sure cold tires were why both Vetts were doing the same thing. But that put the Porsche on his inside for the next turn which forced him to run wide. Other than that every other corner set up looks good.

U also can see him (chasing the Viper) on turn 3 using throttle lift to tuck the front end (Avoiding understeer like the Viper), & using power oversteer just enough to tuck him in for a wing pass on the outside of the Viper which he pulled off. I like this video alot. Simply because it looks like he took a Z06 off the showroom floor (note the navigation system still installed), made the car to fall under SCCA rules, and off he goes. Best part is, he is giving all the Viper, ferrari and other race-preped cars all they can handle. Maybe he was a bit TOO aggresive, but then again, if it is a short race, you have to be. I would love to do a 24 hr race in a Z06. But don't have the money here to risk it.

Yes, as you say. But most miss shift occurs at the same corners. Driver said that caused a natural defect of C6s transmissions. When you shift up to the 3rd gear or shift down from the 3rd at the cornering, that defect occurs. Trans, diff case and the mount's weakness cause it.
