You and Top Gear repeated in an endless loop, that's kharma at work. Congrats in order, but also a bit of a slap in the face from the 'new media' pioneer, off to 'proper telly' at high speed.
@axeman3d I take your point about the new media pioneer slap in the face. I am still 100% committed to using new media and have to remain open to all prospects/offers of how to fund such ventures. Believe me I have thought long and hard about this, but for the time being, the compromise of making the show for traditional broadcast, which in turn funds the online project looks like the best option. The profound hope is that the content won't change, it'll still be Carpool
@bobbyllew I hope it works out for you, Carpool is something I genuinely enjoy every week. It's not talking down to anyone, the guests couldn't be more natural in that environment and every now and again you actually learn something. I can see Dave doing some heavy editing though, knocking it down to two 10 minute segments or something. Even so, a new media pioneer might see that as advertising the podcast for the uninitiated...
Not knocking the news at all but will be interesting to see how the audience figures stack up between "Normal" and "New" media. A great real world comparison.

Not watched any carpool, but when you compare Dave, a 3rd rate full of reruns blocky compression freeview channel with the internet and call it 'proper telly' you show the ignorance of the media that your using. there are shows on youtube that get more views in there day of release than say emmerdale/coro/eastenders COMBINED
