Why does your guitar sound so great? I use an Ibanez RG120 with an Line 6 Spider 4. I am tuned into drop a. I think it's either my tuning or my pick. I use a Jim Dunlop Nylon pick, black. I'm planning to get new strings,picks and a tuner

i think its your tuning and amp. the line 6 spiders are way to gainy. to get clear sound like this you dont turn your gain up all the way. besides with that tuning you need the heaviest gauge you can find. if you want great tone but a line 6 studio pod and use that to record i think he does that, i know i do and it sounds awesome

for picks, get ones with the highest grain. not like the scratch plastic ones, or tortex's like heavy duty plastic that's like matte color. i have like one of those, ive used for a year! every once in a while i have to trim it out, bet find one like that. as for strings, go with ernie ball hybrid slinkys. You forgot to mention if they are gonna use 11-54's, or 12-52's or 56's and they have a Floyd Rose bridge, they are gonna have to throw more springs on it, tighten up the 2 screws that attach it to the guitar, then have someone, or do it yourself, file out the Nut (The bridge at the top of the neck) so that the strings fit in it, go sideways not down, btw.
