the cop did have the right to use deadly force, when the guy rammed the patrol car several times, good job to the cops for taking him out before he could kill someone else with his stupidity, driving without lights on and travelling at high rates of speed, the cops are in the right for this

2. Cops can do their job, and not break the law while doing. It is not that difficult.

5. If you sue a municipality, you better have a good claim... you will lose at demurrer if you don't. It is hard I mean hard to sue any government entity.... You can but it better be good, it is a myth that cops get sued all the time and lose.

I hate that the man got shot but he was the one that escalated the situation, people cops get killed by idiots like this with vehicles & guns! He was not going to stop for police even if he killed one or all involved. Heads up Officers some of us know what it's like in this situation & that you had no choose. Stay safe and shot straight. what the hell did the officer have a itchy trigger finger or something or was he just out to get wade. why the hell did he warn him and then a fraction of a second later he shot and killed him only to warn him a second time after the fact that he already sot him anyway. and he didnt just pull the trigger the one time he fired his gun on him two times.

Since the suspect was such a good, law abiding citizen, and was doing nothing wrong, I'm thinking he should have just let the cops stop him and harrass him so he could then sue them for violating his rights. Hmmm. Actually his own family has been quoted in news articles admitting that he had a "lengthy criminal record" so I can only imagine why he was running to begin with. Cops did an excellent job on this one. Lifestyle choices can cost you more than you're willing to pay. Unfortunate.

@swingitjack There's always that chance. If it ever happens, I hope I'll have the strength and wisdom to not blame someone else if my kids are in the wrong. Our society is losing grasp of personal accountability.
