  • Luckily, for God, the bible is at best hearsay.

  • I love this movie, it moves me to tears every single time.

  • Stupendous! bravisimo, bravisimoooooo!

  • After more than a millenium of vastly differentiated opinions, interpretations and visions based on mankind's own perceptions and ideas (which vary according to gender, culture, age, etc.) and thousands of translations the Bible as a source of knowledge is. Faith evolves constantly. How do we know what's true? We don't, we can't. Why insist then that the Bible is the word of God? How do we know?

  • It's just a movie. Do not justify your opinions, theory, etc., about God, based on a film. Don't be a dumb, please!

  • @iclashuk The arguments presented are sound, regardless of from where they came.

Would you listen to me if I said 'Do not justify your opinions, theory, etc. about God, based on a book. Don't be dumb, please!' if this were a video about the Bible?

  • Humans have much higher moral values than the god they invented.

  • I think the point is that you don't have to give up on God if you choose not to. Although it is easy to let God go amid all the suffering in the world, you are free to choose to keep your faith, the faith that somehow God is going to make things right, as did the characters at the end of the movie.

  • @friendlyjun God has never made things right.. I very much enjoyed this discussion. For me the point is; There cannot be a JUST, LOVING,COMPASSIONATE god. the suffering of the INNOCENT contradict such a notion . There might be a god, either 9if he exists) is a desinterested spectator of human suffering, or worse a sadist enjoying it. In 1939, the whole christian world was praying for peace, in Jesus name. What did we get ? 60,000,000 corpses.

  • does anyone have the transcript for this? For a monolouge project

  • Tomfynn, is that what Jesus told you to tell me.

  • it is arrogant for man to think that in this vast universe that god is human or that he chose us to worship him our spiritual belifes are based on our ignorance of the unknown. god did not create man in his image, men created god in their image.with the reoocuring genocide and evil acts that have plagued mankind. millions of innocent people have raised their arms to the heavens and cried out to god for help. they died with their prayers. god is not there...our destiny lies withon our own hands.

  • Can someone summarise this so I don't die of boredom?

  • @HeadSikk Here's your summary: You are an idiot.

  • @HeadSikk

Are you really to stupid to figure it out? Go back to watching pokemon.

  • Evil is NOT an argument against God, it's an argument for evil in the soul of man. And as far as Life, God can do what he wills, for he is the author of life. As for His plans, who are we to question them. Did I create this world? Did God sin in this world? Much of these questions are answered in Christ. The problem with the Jew is that he doesn't believe that Jesus is the Son of God. They miss the person who makes sense of it all.

  • @ray7685 1. The christian god i s the very same god that committed all the atrocities listed. 2. how are gods "miracles" (plagues) an example of evil in the soul of man for it was "god" who created them himself. 3. who are you, well i would hope your a logical rational thinking human being capable of forming opinions on aspects of life. emphasis on HOPE. and should you be such a person you would not accept the death of another human being (JESUS) the justify and forgive your misbehaviour.

  • @RaisedAnAtheist Jesus does not make sense of it all god creating a human being only too kill him for mankind is pointless when he could have simply forgiven us instead of torture however as per usual this "god" doesn't do whats GOOD whats RIGHT it does evil things and you worship it because it's on Your Side.

ps. i dont believe this god exists however for the sake of argument i'm only acting like all the events detailed in the bible happened.

  • @RaisedAnAtheist 4.saying god can do whatever he wants for he is the author of life is ridiculous and is only your way of avoiding passing judgement on the obviously malevolent nature of the god depicted in all three of the desert religions. 5. not believing in jesus doesn't merit the sort of abuse experienced in WW2 if you think it does i believe you too be twisted and i seriously call your character into question.

  • @ray7685 Jesus does not make sense of it all, he only further complicates the problem, and that confuses people like you into thinking it makes sense. As for who are we to question the actions of this god, I need only ask you, who is god to act the way that he does? Just because someone is powerful, that doesn't make that person right. If you believe that your god can do with your life what he will, then don't complain if the people who pay you and grow your food take it all back.

  • It's obvious to anyone that has actually read the bible that god would not be worthy of worship even if he was real.

  • is this a movie or a short? any names plz?

  • @ZblueheartX it is a movie named:"god on trial" -2008 ,a good movie,that makes you think.

  • This video illustrates one truth. The only excuse for God is that he DOES NOT exist.

  • This has to be the most eloquent expressions of the "problem of evil", not only in the history of cinema, but possibly in the history of human oration. I have listened and read what many distinguished philosophers have had to say about the problem of evil, but none express the problem so forcefully as done in this movie. If any theist doesn't recognize that this is a very devastating argument against their God, then they are NOT intellectually honest.

  • It is very simple, we make one of two choices :

    1) Accept that god is the epitome of evil, but continue to worship him, or

    2) Reject the existence of god.

I don't see any other options that fit the facts as presented.

  • It's a no brainer. God is evil.

  • what movie is this from ?

  • @tazmaniainc "God on trial" - It's not long, but interesting... you can see a lot of interesting cognitive dissonance.

Oh, and this is definitely the death-blow.

  • I think it's so sad that people have to go through the trouble of rationalizing and justifying Adonai's actions, like the man in the video did. If you come to the conclusion that "Adonai is not good, he was not ever good", I don't see how that can cause anything other than the implosion of Jewish theology and everything built on it (Christianity, Islam, Mormonism, etc). Rationally there could not be any reason to believe in that god anymore, there could only be an unwillingness to let him go.

  • i say santa is real crimson. he is the truth. prove me wrong!!! see how weak your argument is???

  • @xamot27 , Well actually there was a real Saint Nicholas. The man did die many years ago but his tradition of secretly bestowing gifts to others on Christmas lives on.

  • crimson...For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him." (Leviticus 20:9)

Lot refuses to give up his angels to the perverted mob, offering his two "virgin daughters" instead. He tells the bunch of angel rapers to "do unto them [his daughters] as is good in your eyes." This is the same man that is called "just" and "righteous" in 2 Peter 2:7-8. 19:7-8

  • @xamot27 , Nobody ever said Lot was the smartest.

People who curse other people, lead lives of hatred, creating their own Hell. I think that's what that first one means.

  • @TheCrimsonRex Oh o Lot wasn't smart. How does this have anything to do with what he did? An idiot would know that getting your daughters hurt is bad, and saving them is good. I thought you said we all had God's infinite knowledge of goodness in us, so why didn't Lot? Why was his horrible, horrible choice not taken into account by God when He described him as "just"? I thought He knew Lot'd offer his daughter for rape.

Also, and less seriously, why was Lot living there. That's kinda suspicious.

  • @SolDeSaBelle , Lot was trying to save the two angels, he just had a lack of consideration for his daughters. How forgetful of him. Didn't really matter in the end anyway because those daughters were never touched, they escaped the city along with Lot.

  • @TheCrimsonRex "Never touched". . . except by the father, who just needed a couple a drinks to rape and impregnate the two of them himself. Clap clap clap.

  • Good thing is that the biblical story in this video never happened, bad thing is that the holocaust did, with the silence and support of the catholic church and deeply inspired by Martin Luther 's anti-Semitic writings.

  • crimson..did you even watch the video????

  • you believe in the old testament!?!?!?really?!??!?! the worst one!!!!!! we believe because we have imagination, were scared, were conditioned by our parents. you dont know this?? why is a muslim a muslim? why is a jew a jew? wow!! i think youve put all your money on the bible. this makes you desperate and gives you a huge sense of pride. you cant be wrong in your mind cuz youve invested to much into your superstition. youd rather go down in flames than admit you could be wrong. right?

  • @xamot27 , Whoa calm down. Part of being a scientist is knowing if you're wrong, I'm an engineer and a scientist. I believe in the words of the Bible, all of it, because it's the truth.

  • @TheCrimsonRex ....how is it the truth??? whats you defintion of truth???

  • @xamot27 , That which actually is, and that which never dies.

  • @TheCrimsonRex pfft..another cop out. i bet muslims and scientologist have the exact same definition. yet they bet their lives youre wrong. you havent answred a single question proposed to you. i see youve read from the book of wlc. using the unknown or fringe knowledge as reason for a god. your little corner keeps getting smaller and smaller doesnt it. do you believe the old testament is the absolute word of god? do you believe in witches and demons? talking snakes? and the rest?

  • crimson...what book do you follow??? by the way, you seem to have little knowledge of science as well, another typical trait of a theist. funny how atheists know more about religion than theists do (as discovered in a nationwide poll) i wish people like you would take the time to research the very thing you oppose. if you dont it makes you look uneducated and lazy

  • @xamot27 , excuse me sir, I do research religion. I used to do nothing but scientific research, then I realized it had no point. What is it that you know that I don't, please share.

  • what happened to the other top clips that were here???? one of them asked any christian to pull out their bible and refute the claims in this video!!!! anyone????

  • what happened to the other top comments that were here?

  • @thecrimsonrex...just did another poll of the happiest places on earth....guess what. top five are athiest/secular AGAIN!!!!!! 1-NORWAY 2-DENMARK 3-AUSTRALIA (athiest prime minister ) 4-NEW ZEALAND 5-SWEDEN. all ranked highest in low gun ownership, healthcare, atheism, democracy. top 5 worst places to live were highly religious. any connection here??? im so glad atheism is on the rise. people are finally starting to think for themselves

  • @xamot27 , if you are a good person, you're not a true Atheist. There's more to being a christian than showing up to church. To be a christian is to show love and mercy to people that you don't even know. That's the greatest commandment, "Love thy Neighbor."

  • @TheCrimsonRex lmao...youre telling me what i am or what im not now!??!?!?! and im the one judging? you dont seem to have a grasp of logic or reason, hence your faith and lack of knowledge of the bible. "proof of god is me"??? seriously??? youre just another gap filling creationist who has nothing to stand on, just say you have faith (belief without evidence) and be on your way. you have no proof, admit it. good feeling and sayings like "god is everywhere" dont count

  • @xamot27 , For the proof you need, Look up the Miracle of the Sun.

  • Read the book of Job,

We have NO authority to question Him.

  • @ChelCBellC AMEN

  • ALL OF YOUHERE WHO ARE SAYING BAD THINGS ABOUT GOD HAD MISS ONE LITTLE THINGS YET THE MOST IMPORTANT:

"PEOPLE DON'T DIE.SO CHILDREN DON'T DIE.DEATH IS JUST A DOOR TO THE REAL LIFE.THE LIFE WE ARE LEAVING NOW IS FAKE,FOR SOME PEOPLE ITS GOOD,FOR OTHERS ITS A MESS.BUT ITS NOT THE REAL LIFE."

ALL THIS POOR PEOPLE DIDNT DIE,THEY ARE SAFE AND HAPPY WITH GOD.I KNOW ITS HARD TO UNDERSTAND BUT ITS TRUE.

BECAUSE WE DON'T SEE THE OTHER LIFE AND WE DON'T HAVE PROVES,DOESN'T MEANS IT'S NOT THERE.

  • @007alain CRUISE CONTROL!

  • @007alain are you fucking serious?!?!?! how old are you??? "but its true" how do you know?? prove it!!! show your research and publish it. i say theres such things as invisible pink gorillas. prove me wrong!!!because we dont see it doesnt mean its there!!!!! wake up fool!!! go ahead and kill yourself then if this life is fake. youre the problem with this world. you put an afterlife over the REAL one we have. disgusting way to see our life and planet.....

  • @007alain Amen and thankyou for your wisdom.

  • @007alain What have u been smoking? lol what door? how about the suffered this ppl felt before they died, is that just? smh

  • @007alain "Death is but a door"... Vigo the Carpathian said more or less the same thing in Ghostbusters II. I see we have the same holy material.

(oh and I think there a problem with your Caps Lock key)

  • ... and this is part of the reason why religion is so harmful. Rather than spend their time doing something productive (like trying to escape), they tie their brains in knots trying to figure out something that can never be known. I realize this is fiction, but how many people IRL are wasting hour after hour trying to figure out if they are being punished for something, and what they are being punished for? I think if that number is greater than zero, it's too many.

  • @JunkyardFoot , The issue of The CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE is a pivotal topic which occupies our lives because God is our life in the end.

  • @TheCrimsonRex ...and Life in the end is Death. You're right.

  • That was quite amazing. Where is this from?

  • God let's 9,000,000 children under the age of 5 starve to death every single year. What a nice chap God must be.

  • @sugarcanegray , That's caused by the devil not God.

  • @TheCrimsonRex so then God is impotent? Incapable or unwilling to save them?

Seems odd to me. So many religious people thank God for small pieces of good fortune. He answers a prayer to save a man that gets hit by a car, or to save an alcoholic by "showing them the light" - but to he won't save innocent children who can do nothing to help themselves?

I was under the impression he was supposed to be omnipotent, good and merciful.

  • @sugarcanegray , Those innocent children were probably brought to heaven. You see we all suffer in this life, but who do you really think suffers the most.

The One who is ever-present in each one of us, is all-knowing, He knows all of our pain, and feels it too.

  • @TheCrimsonRex so God let them be born to suffer a short, horrible, tortured life filled with pain, hunger and agony, just to fill some space up in heaven?

Does that sound like a nice thing to do? If a human did that (which they do - abusive murderous parents, for example) we condemn them, we hate them, we punish them. But God does it on a truly massive scale and that's somehow ok?

Sounds like God is a nasty immoral cunt to me.

  • @sugarcanegray , Mankind may suffer but he eventually is rewarded in heaven for all eternity. Sounds like it's a small price to pay to come home in God's wonderful kingdom.

God isn't cruel, He cares for all, He doesn't do anything unless there is a good reason for it. He is after all made of love, truth, and all the good things ever possible.

You may not understand it, but if he can break the laws of physics, then why not?

  • @TheCrimsonRex How can you say that God cares? Allowing 9 million innocent, defenseless children to needlessly starve to death every single year doesn't sound particularly caring to me.

And exactly how can he break the laws of physics? Where's the evidence that he has done so?

  • @sugarcanegray , Not just those children, but we all suffer, everyone of us. But it will be worth it in the end.

  • @TheCrimsonRex those innocent children were probably Muslim and are burning in Hell according to you, merciful merciful you.

  • @SolDeSaBelle , not if they were good and remorseful people.

And I do not, nor have I ever reserved the right to say who goes to hell. No human does.

  • @TheCrimsonRex what? You mean you don't need to be a follower of Christ to enter Heaven? Actually, John Paul 2 said so himself (i.e. that's unbelivers and "misbelievers" who lead a good life could go to paradise - that obviously generated a wave of protest in doing so) a little before his death. I'm glad you agree on this. It makes your entire religion useless and atheism even more valide, thanks to the over-used Pascal wager, now even more in our favor. Excellent [...]

  • @TheCrimsonRex [...] Unless there's an age-limit for the Unbeliver's entry into Paradise? Is it baby-only? Or are children also let in? Untill what age? Can an 13 year-old get in? If not, could he be let in a couple days before his birthday?

And more importantly, how do you know, and are you not just pulling this out of your backside, like all religious people have since the beginning a Man as a pattern-seeking self-aware primate.

Answer this clearly and un-metaphorically and you get a cookie.

  • Great video!!!!! Use the christians OWN bible to shut them up!! Brilliant!! All bibles of the world will prove there is no god or gods. We don't need evolution at all to do this....

  • @Kubota71 the sobering thing about that is they know all too well that the bible is full of depictions that we no longer accept as a just act from the god. They ignore these statements and rewrite their god into something more accepting to them. God is love yet will kill children. They have ways of justifying that god or else they wouldn't be believers.

  • @Relativisticism , You can pray for these people, so they don't edit the Bible.

But think about this, God made heaven and earth, we have no right to judge His actions and He always does the right thing.

  • @TheCrimsonRex you are the person I am talking about. You invent these sayings because it is the only way you can justify the atrocities of the bible stories. The good thing is, god doesn't exist to begin with so these stories are nothing to worry about. The thing we DO need to worry about are the people like you who want to press these ideas onto the rest of society and murder people because they are not conforming to what YOU think they should be.

  • @TheCrimsonRex the Earth was created from the remnants of some cosmic event, several billion years ago.

As for the heavens, well, the latest understanding is that our universe is but one universe in a sea of universes, all created from collisions of "membranes".

It appears that God had nothing to do with either of these events occurring.

So by saying "he always does the right thing" - you're saying that doing nothing and claiming credit for someone else's work is the right thing to do?

  • @sugarcanegray , What makes you think He didn't create the Big Bang?

God created everything, with his eternal wisdom. He always was and always will be.

Look, I'm a scientist, I've studied the story of the Primeval atom but scientist can't explain why the universe came to be. Matter and Energy can't be created or destroyed, yet our universe is still here? Scientists can't explain it, but the Creator of the Universe can.

  • @TheCrimsonRex because it's starting to be understood what caused the big bang, and it wasn't God.

Also, if he made the big bang, then that shows the Bible is a pack of lies. So that being the case, how can you possibly profess to know anything about him?

  • @sugarcanegray , First of all, when talking about God your refer to Him with a big H, it's proper grammar.

The Bible isn't contradicted by the big bang, it just doesn't mention it. There were no advanced scientists before Christ.

To create the big band you need to pull energy from outside the laws of the universe. The only way to do that is to break the laws of physics, which reality couldn't do before it existed.

  • @TheCrimsonRex no, I don't think he doesn't deserve a capital letter.

The Bible is contradicted by the big bang. The Bible clearly states that God created the heavens and the Earth in 6 days. How does that fit with the big bang model?

  • @sugarcanegray , Six days....Six days to the Supreme Being who has existed for all Eternity could be like Six billion years to us.

  • @sugarcanegray , Moreover what you need to realize is that I'm not trying to harm you.

I'm telling you the truth so you can think for yourself with more information in your arsenal. If you don't believe in Him, that's your choice. God is present within all who follow his ways, all who do good things because it's the right thing to do. And is that really hard to believe in?

  • @TheCrimsonRex I used to believe in God, I used to believe in a lot of things. But, over time, with more and more time spent learning about the natural world and all of it's wonders, my belief has gone.

I have not seen any evidence to suggest there is a God, but I've seen endless evidence to the contrary.

  • @sugarcanegray , Really, when I learned more about the world I believed all the more in Him. I realized more and more what a great masterpiece the world is, created by none other than the Almighty.

Don't feel bad about losing your faith, I know what it's like. I've doubted God's existence and His wisdom a few times. But after each time, I either found evidence of His existence or He proved himself to me.

  • @TheCrimsonRex the biggest problem I would have to overcome is that the human body is appallingly put together - I cannot possibly see that it was designed by anything more powerful than a human. A human engineer would not make the same mistakes that God made when he made man.

  • @sugarcanegray , How would a human engineer design the human body?

The answer: he can't. A human cannot think of every single chromosome, speck of ATP synthase, the chemicals of bile, the way our bone marrow is constructed, or how to properly construct a human brain from nothing.

  • @TheCrimsonRex humans have already created synthetic life. We have created many ways of fixing the problems in the human body. Give science another 50 years and yes, they will have designed a better human body.

  • @sugarcanegray , No, no I've looked at that too, all we ever do is splice DNA, seed embryos (cloning), and graft body parts, letting Nature do the rest. Mankind can't even make a simple germ.

  • @TheCrimsonRex "letting Nature do the rest". Whatever human do you can always claim that we "let Nature do the rest" because we as humans are, and always will be, bound by natural laws, so your claims like "making brain from nothing" will be never met, because we always must get some stuff to make some stuff. You just making plathora of unfalsifiable claims that in fact cannot be proven.

  • @Tudrum2 , What I meant was, was that one the embryos are seeded, they start to grow all by themselves, on autopilot so to speak. This is how cloning is done, it requires very little scientist involvement, so to speak.

  • @TheCrimsonRex Second thing, You don't need to know everything about anything to make something better. For example: when I'm debuging/upgrading my friends code, i don't need to even look to code to recognize mistakes they've made (i can look at programs effects), and i don't need to fully understand their code to make corrections, add new functionalities or even rewrite some parts of that code to add stability/speed.

  • @Tudrum2 Please explain further.

  • @Tudrum2 of course. But the point is that surely an omnipotent God wouldn't make so many basic errors like: we have too many teeth for our mouths. our backs aren't well designed for walking upright... our brains are wired so badly, and there's the potential for way too much to go wrong... our eyes are rubbish... we have parts like the prostrate that are so badly positioned problems are inevitable... I could go on...

  • @sugarcanegray "But the point is that surely an omnipotent God wouldn't make so many basic errors" totally agree, evolution make much more sense in explaining this things than a "god did it".

  • @sugarcanegray , that's from evolution, all those things were good at an earlier point in human history. The appendix used to be useful, now it's not.

  • @TheCrimsonRex no it's already happening:

guardian dot co dot uk /science/2010/may/20/craig-venter-synthetic-life-form

"The new organism is based on an existing bacterium that causes mastitis in goats, but at its core is an entirely synthetic genome that was constructed from chemicals in the laboratory."

Give science another 20 years and we'll be making life from scratch.

  • @sugarcanegray , but can they create what it took nature several hundred million years to perfect. Maybe, but they can never create a soul.

  • @TheCrimsonRex (we don't feel bad about it at all)

  • @TheCrimsonRex What do you mean "yet it is STILL here" ? Did you expect something that can't disappear to just do that ? What kind of scientist are you, again, what are your diplomas, where have you worked, what have you done, to what have you contributed ? Or are you a Craig-Lane-type scientist?

  • @SolDeSaBelle , I'm a materials scientist, and an expert physicist.

If you want proof look up "The Miracle of the Sun." "Our Lady of Lourdes" "Our Lady of Guadalupe" The crying statues, Exodus, the Roman records of Christ's death and resurrection, the Roman records of St. Philomena's deaths. The incorruptible bodies of saints found without any sort of mummification. Even the cross itself. The bodies of the three kings.

  • @TheCrimsonRex Have you actually written these texts, or just read them. I mean, I am dubious about the fact that you wrote Exodus but then again someone had to. You writing it makes more sense than bleeding/crying statues or God writing a book or chiselling orders about how to eat baby goats onto stone (in three months, 12 times as long as it took Him to create the whole Universe. Weird. But I digress).

Or are you trying to give me historical evidence of your faith?

If so good luck with that.

  • @Kubota71 , Why are you persecuting God,

He has NEVER done anything wrong.

God is much more than scripture, he lives in all of us, he is the spirit of Love, not death.

  • how can ANYONE follow this book? how can anyone even want such a monster to exist??!?!?

  • @xamot27 , These people are blaming the Lord for the horrible situations created by the Devil.

  • Wow. Just wow.

  • the church helped nazi scum to escape europe!!!

  • wow!!!!! i wonder how many christians will watch the whole thing?!??!?!? this is what you believe to be a true christian. nice moral god on ya! disgusting. a snake has better morals

  • Don't be so quick to think that such devastating indictment as this would make a dent in the religious faith of believers

Unfortunately, I have seen time & time again the impregnability of such a faith against reason

NOTHING is beyond jusification to most believers. Intellectual honesty & integrity simply vanish in order to maintain their faith in an omni-everything god who has a plan for them

I've seen this sad phenomenon display itself in people dear to my heart.

  • Comment removed

  • ...i hear ya. i think it has alot to do with "pride" ironically. creationists feel they have invested too much time and effort to change their minds. maybe they feel they will committ social suicide if they change their mind. their surrounding social group is like minded so why make it hard for themselves? maybe they have a status in their community they dont want to lose. funny how they most likely stick with faith because of self centered needs..hmmmm

  • @xamot27 , You shouldn't judge other people.

  • @LetReasonPrevail1 , sad phenomenon. No, faith is hope, light when there is nothing but chaos.

You want evidence of God's existence, look at yourself everytime you do something good. God is the love, truth, and eternal wisdom. For ever and even after.

  • @xamot27 , No, a serpent called Satan is what caused all the horrible situations.

The devil is the enemy of man, not the Almighty.

  • @TheCrimsonRex

and who created the devil. who allowed satan to work his evil. who causes (or atleast allows) all these terrible things to happen; natural disasters, terrorist attacks, disease, ect.

do you really think anything in this world could happen if the all powerful creator of everything didnt want it to?

  • @AceofDiamonds0 , Lucifer turned himself into the Devil, even though the Lord gave him the highest rank for any angel.

For your information, God is actually in the process of destroying Satan. It becomes completed at judgement day when Satan sees that his evils no longer prevail.

Many bad things in the world do happen, but they shape us into people with personalities and they test us, to see if we're genuinely good or bad. God rewards people who suffer with eternal life.

  • @TheCrimsonRex

    1. but even before that, god knew what lucifer would become. thats the definition of omniscience.

    2. so god has to wait to destroy satan? god cant just simply wave his hand and wipe evil from this earth? that doesnt sound like a very all powerful god to me.

    3. so we shouldnt feel sad about things like the holocaust or 9/11, because those things are gods doing? well good thing we have a divine ruler that just loves us to death.

  • @AceofDiamonds0, God could not help but make angels and people, because He is love. And to create good beings, they must have free will and make decisions on their own. The event of Lucifer becoming the devil was invetible, for all the time our world exists, the devil will be there to tempt us. But we must not give in, because of our sins we have to be forgiven to be welcomed back to paradise.

  • @AceofDiamonds0 , Make no mistake, God is all powerful, and He does everything for a reason. If destroying the devil takes a few million years so the devil sees how wrong he is, then that's how long it takes.

We do feel sad about death, because those people are no longer with us on Earth. But death isn't created by God, it's created by the Devil, the true enemy of Man.

  • @TheCrimsonRex ummmm..youre hipocrite just like other creationists!!!!! apologetic...are there stories in this video not true??? answer me!!! you theists judge all the time. your past is digusting. crusades ring a bell?? judge, jury and executioner. what proof do you have for any of your claims??? answer please. i want real, undeniable prrof. so self proclaiming book. if your counts, so does every other

holy" book. use your brain please

  • @xamot27 NO ONE has the right to judge. Just like how people judge eachother or the Supreme Being of the Universe.

The proof of God's very existence is you, whenever you commit a loving act.

  • @TheCrimsonRex in every aspect of your life you use reason, logic and science to get by. religion universally dumps all these things to grasp to a foolish ideology. why? i already know you think this life is useless compared to an afterlife you have no proof of!!! is your life that crappy? what holy book do you believe in? what version too please

  • @xamot27 , Science has never been able to explain why humans believe, why we truly love, why we have spirit. It cannot replicate it or experiment with it. That is why I believe, for as long as we have it, we have hope.

I believe in the original Bible.

  • @TheCrimsonRex "Science has never been able to explain why humans believe", actualy have been, psychology have some nice explanations why humans believe, neurosciences too. I myself was working with neural networks in computer science, and when you know how neural networks work, it is easy to see how superstision could arrived. Primitive uperstisions are easily achievable in even basic neural networks, this is effect of "pattern seeking" behavior of those networks.

  • @Tudrum2 Science can't see fit why Nature provides us humans with personalities, according to evolution it doesn't make sense.

    Think about this.

  • @TheCrimsonRex "Science can't see fit why Nature provides us humans with personalities, according to evolution it doesn't make sense" then you dont understand evolution.Personality is shaped partly because of DNA,partly of inital state of our neural networks, and partly becuase of our enviroment. And by enviroment i don't only mean fiends at school or parents, but every thing you interact from your childhood that influences eveny single neuron treeshold and synapse "weight"(electric resistance)

  • @Tudrum2 the environment influences us, but Personalities often behave in certain ways against the environment and against very nature. We defy nature by the power of our spirits.

If you want more proof of God's existence, research this "The Miracle of the Sun." "Our Lady of Guadalupe." "The Crying Statues"

  • @TheCrimsonRex "why we truly love" - evolutionary desirable trait, "why we have spirit" - have we?, "It cannot replicate it" - yet, "or experiment with it" - yes it can, see things like Gods Helmet, or rats that we can just switch off fear in them (/watch?v=C8bPbHuOZXg).

  • @Tudrum2 By nature it doesn't make sense. Man does not fear like rats do, we can come up with our own fears.

Look....is there a point to this. Look at us. We've all been arguing in circles, not getting anywhere. You want to prove God doesn't exist, that's not going to happen, not as long as there's hope. And I can't make you believe in Him, that's something you must come to on your own. Goodnight.

  • @TheCrimsonRex I am sure you have huge credentials for your knowledge on fear in rats. Let's hear about them. Or maybe you believe in reincarnation. Are you a Buddhist ? A Hindu ? A Jain ?

Then again, you're probably not. You wouldn't be justifying genocide, death and murder if you were. Sorry about that ;D

  • @SolDeSaBelle , My friend is a bioengineer. And I've talked to plenty of animal specialists engineers, researchers, and doctors down in the University of Tennessee.

  • @TheCrimsonRex what is an animal specialist engineer exactly? Is it like Donatello in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles who is the one whom is good with technology and sh*t? Or a human specialised in animal trechnology and engineering, like beaver dams? Ot just something you made up to impress me? What is the name of your "friend"? Er, I mean, the one I think is imaginary. Er, I mean, the I think is imaginary AND a bioengineer. Er, I mean, the one who's NOT God. What has he done? I'm curious now.

  • @TheCrimsonRex And if I never do (or did) any good, God doesn't exist, is this your point? Great ! Evil disproves God then! You're a genius ! you added an arrow to the Atheist's bow. I couldn't have asked for more.

Oh, and if I smile and frown alternatively, very fast, does God look like a pulsing-light stroboscope ?

  • @SolDeSaBelle, don't be so sure, there will always be good somewhere. Good is life, evil is death unto itself. I don't think you really want to see a world without good in it.

Be careful what you wish for.

  • @TheCrimsonRex When have I wished for anything like that, and - anyway - why would my wishes have any bearing on reality? I could act upon reality and make the world a relatively and subjectiveley better / wors place to live in, for me and/or for others. But (and I know this may come as a shock) what people wish were true doesn't make it so. You wouldn't want to live in a God-less world? Well I would want to live in a world where I'm rich without working. Neither is true, nor is gonna happen.

  • Is there any Italian watching this clip?

Please contact me if you want to cooperate to realize a version with italian voiceover.

For everybody else ... yes, I am sorry, 80% in my country would never get that and they are not used to subtitles.

  • Before the Holocaust there were plenty of reason to forsake belief in gods, especially the tyrant Yahweh. After the Holocaust belief in Yahweh or any gods is impossible.

  • @Kailoa36 , Yahweh, is not a Tyrant. He is the Father of all Creation.

  • powerful

  • I doubt that the Holocaust would have occured in a secular world.

  • @SuperFantasticFox Not even a secular world would be without persecution. A secular world would only have one less excuse.

  • @SAsgarters Indeed. But one very significant less excuse.

  • @SuperFantasticFox But not one that's essential.

  • @SAsgarters I disagree. I do think it's essential. If you look at the Nazi cult, there are elements of Norse mythology, race myths, and Christianity closely tied to it.

A secular, open and informed world automatically prevents, or at least significantly decreases the likelihood, of that happening again.

  • @SuperFantasticFox That cult played a very small part in what happened. What made people support the nazis, wasn't religion, it was an economic instability. That would still occur in a secular world. A secular world isn't by default any more open or informed than this one.

  • @SAsgarters

I disagree that it's not essential to adandon a judgement based on superstition and vague interpretation for logical judgement.

  • @BeBoBli As an excuse for persecution, it's not essential.

  • Thought provoking piece. Excellent!

  • I don't think this movie is al anti christianity and stuff, it's more about what pressure and torture can do to a person. At first god was their only hope, only friend. But people realised that they really were fucked this time.

  • This is a great, inspiring movie, which handels all big philosphical questions...

Listening to this man I wonder how a serieus Christian can say that the God of the Old Testament is Love...more something of a War Lord...

  • When you think of God, you must also think of time. Most people that think of time can grasp the idea that time will have no end, but what they have a hard time understanding is that time had no begining. The "big bang" theory that there was nothing but a small dot then there was everything is a fairy tale for atheists. Science tells us that you can't get something from nothing, in order for that to be true there must be something that has always existed....God if you will.
