  • my Uncle David and Aunt Rhea used to have a Volkswagen T2 and it was a 1977 model in brown with a taupe leather interior and it was not the camper version like this one but the regular model which could seat up to seven

    This has the type 4, 4 cylinder boxer engine, Volkswagen switched to the type 4 engine in 1972 (previously it was the type 1 1600cc dual port 54 HP) the engine displacement went up slightly between 1972 and 1979. Since this is a '77 it has a 2000cc 67 HP engine.
