This so-called "Neo-Folk" movement is NOT the new Seattle sound or even close! Seattle's been looking for the new buzz, and manufactured it by saying this group is it. They couldn't be more wrong. Seattle is way more culturally diverse than a bunch of suburban sons of hippies attempting to recreate the Sub-Pop allure. The new Seattle sound is better compounded in bands like Seven Diels and The Void.

They are the relatively new big thing and have amazing reviews therefore they might as well represent Seattle's new sound. Geniuses.

Artists like Jamie Barnes, Joe Montagne, and Citizen Cope have been doing this for years, and they're not Seattlites; and that's fact, not subject to bending objectivity my brother :).
