now how will i restore? The only clue i have cydia was there and it was working with gevey.. what methord will i use?.. i dont know any info about the phone.. HELP

I just asked several people to help me unlock my 5.0.1 iPhone and they said it was impossible and that I firmware and the baseband has not been figured out yet??????????? so do you have an email or a way of being contacted?

@YellowMohamad1234567 there is no way to unlock 4.11.08 that I know of. Depending on whether your phone is a GSM or CDMA model determines how you can get service. If it is a GSM model, then you'd need to get service with AT&T. If CDMA, then Verizon.
@Hesadanza can a at&t prepaid sim work on the iphone 4 or do i have to buy a contract also do you thing gevey will make a updated version that will work with 4.11.08

@AlfaHanen1 To preserve the baseband, you use redsn0w to create a Custom ipsw. The custom file will strip out the baseband update from 5.0.1. Then you use iTunes to shift-click Restore, and point it to that No_BB ipsw that was made.

I already downloaded the last version of the redsnow, and the IOS 5.0.1 (currently am on 4.3.3 basband 4.10.1). what exactly i need to do to reach the unlock process, I mean when I open the Customize IPSW from the redsnow there are 2 icons jailbreak and everything else).
@wildhoney30 go into extras, and select Custom IPSW, select the 5.0.1 IPSW, and it will make a custom ipsw of 5.0.1 without the baseband. once that is done, you'll shift-click restore in iTunes to select that no_bb custom IPSW file to restore to. Once restored, you'll jailbreak with redsn0w.
My iPhone 4 is on 5.0.1 with baseband 4.10.01. I used the newly released untethered jailbreak for 5.0.1 via redsnow, and everything is working fine (I have Cydia installed and working properly). However, was your Cellular Data and Data Roaming turned on for the iPhone you used in the video? And is it crucial to have these features on when using Gevey Ultra? Also, I get an error when I try to install the FuriousMod package that's supposed to go with Gevey Ultra. Is manual the best bet?
@dragonxstealth our cellular data and data roaming were turned on, and they must be turned on for Edge to work. You must also set the cellular data network apn. The Enable 3G must be turned off. FuriousMod package doesn't work on iOS5. You must use the manual unlock method with dialing 112, as shown in the video.

@ghettoboss361 that's because the Gevey won't work with modem firmware 04.11.08. You have to have an older modem firmware for the Gevey to work.

@dtown963 The baseband we have on the phone in the video is 03.10.01, but Gevey Ultra is compatible with 1.59, 2.10, 3.10.1, and 4.10.1.
