@papan1990 : Written and composed by the greatest Bengali lyricist/composer of the 2nd half of the 20th century, the one and only Salil Chowdhury. And yes, Durga Puja of 1969 it was.

One small anecdote I'd like to share about the maestro Salil Chowdhury. He was a poet par excellence, but being devoted to music even more he left full-time occupation with literature in the mid-40's. At this, Premendra Mitra had famously lamented, "Aaj Bangla sahityer OPURONIYO khoti holo." (Today Bengali literature has suffered an irreparable loss.")
