  • I don't know what's so confusing about this? There's not math formulas no equations... Everything is simple...

  • @otakumano I guess it's 'cause it makes it easier for someone who couldn't catch the previous ones on tv to understand what is being shown

  • I get it completely

  • hmm right, get it, so, what would the consequences be if the a sandwich were made of two slices thus creating a single cheese sandwich of two universes, would that mean that both universes would smell of cheese? and if so,....what implications would that have for the nations that actually produce cheese traditionally? hmm? do we invest in cheese industry or not?

  • however gravity is experimented everywhere..

  • dfasdfa

  • Why he is reapting stuff he said couple videos back?

  • Why does the video stop at 9:21 instead of 9:22?

  • @camelCaseFTW

    so that you could ask.

  • wait... so is dark matter the gravity from other universes in different dimensions?

  • @lolaga Gravity is the weakest force, but it is the only force that is cumulative. All the other force are not cumulative, so although they may seem stronger, when gravity increases it has the ability to overcome the all of the others, including the strong nuclear force. When that occurs, then you get a black hole.

  • @icarusfx84 un electromagnetism is cumulative like gravity is too.

  • @lolaga Black holes are thought to be caused by the squeezing of too high a concentration of mass into too small of an area of the fabric of space-time. Not gravity. Gravity is the force produced by the presence of mass within an area of space-time.

In short, mass causes a black hole, not gravity. Gravity is just what the mass produces.

  • I love how these guys talk about strings but they don't explain how they exist and why they exist. They gave a "myth" onto how the theory was discovered. Like wtf.

  • haha!! @ 8:11

  • i have a question for 2:26..he sais that his muscles are pulling the apple..right?..well he is not in mid air..he stands on the surface..which means that maybe gravity allows him to pull the apple?..or that gravity flows thru him and makes it easier to pull the apple..cause if you jump you leave the surface for 1-2 sec. yea but you come back dont you?..why isnt the apple coming back?..anyways..i do agree that gravity is weak..atleast in our universe...well only weaker than the other forces..

  • @fermerwuvu Well its simply the mass of the earth is so great compared to that of yourself, and it only cants a simple movement and you can pull an apple away from its surface. And I think your thinking of leverage when you were talking about how he has to stand on the surface. And also think of it as relative to the other forces, gravity is very weak compared to say strong force and electromagnetic force, and so there must be a reason.

  • God damit..i like the elegant universe..amazing..

  • Well I believe that possibly all of these "dimensions" or "branes" are overlapped, and you are actually in every possible paralell universe but the vibrations of your strings are only tuned into one of those, which is the one you are currently perceiving.

  • i hate when they say one theory and then completely contradict it like 2min later... gravity is so weak. then all of a sudden its huge we just cant see the full effect it has.

  • ...stop looking for intelligent life in space..we cant go far in space...just try looking in the other dimension..yea there are aliens..and ufo sightnings..but who told you that they come from mars or saturn or moon or whatever..i think that there is bigger chance that they came from another dimension..so..if you want to find intelligent life..look in the other dimensions..

  • @fermerwuvu Dude, think about the meaning of intelligence. Do you consider humans intelligent? I don't, I mean in the short amount of time on earth we have acheived tremendous damage to each other and the earth itself, hows that intelligent. And if your thinking of intelligence as in a conscious and a perception of onself and ones environment, whats to say we have free will? Maybe our brains make the decisions of our actions before we are consciously aware of them.

  • @PKDana ..i dont know if i should or if i shouldnt agree with you..maybe our brains really do make the decisions of our actions..but arent we our brains?..maybe something is controlling us..something that we cant see..we dont use the full potential of our brain..i wonder why..this is some confusing stuff..and well as you said that we did acheive alot of damage..to each other and the earth..but thats because of our greed..the humans have the biggest greed..

  • @fermerwuvu I'm not sure I understand your point about greed, it's a natural type of reaction that simply helps complex organisms conserve energy by keeping what they have, and getting as much as they can(everything in the universe is constantly trying to conserve energy this is why elements interact with each other - to acheive a lower "more balanced" state of energy. And addressing whether we make our own decisions or not, I believe self perception may just be a complex characteristic.

  • Big Band= Consciousness of the Divinity, self divides to create the universe - Nuclear beyond imagination. Each of our own spirits are a fragment of the whole energy that still permeates the universe, hence forth our strings are still connected to the original "ball of string'.

  • I think there are different dimensions, like in the forms of membranes or films. And the pulsating strings (string theory) that pulse or tremble both here and into different dimensions (universes) at the same time. They are both here and there. Normally membranes sit side by side aka universes sit side by side, they can bulge into one another and this causes dejavu.

  • dude..i agree..maybe not 100%..but it might be true..maybe not only dejavu..but dreams too..but dreams are different..dejavu on the other hand..its really weird..i mean you havent dreamed it..but you feel like you have been there..or done that..even if you havent..and there is no other answer than what you said..parallel universes..

  • Repetitious! aargghh

  • could the 11 dimensions contains each one of these : EM forces, waves, strings, quarks etc and all of these dimensions interact and makes what we live in ?

  • I think what theyre saying is that all things that exist (quarks, waves, particles) are made up of these strings. Thats what makes it so exciting, the possibility of a universal buliding block that makes up EVERYTHING! even the forces (via messenger particles! But the only way this model would work is if there were these extra dimensions, if the dimensions weren't there, then the strings of energy simply couldn't wobble in the correct ways to explain all the observable phenomena in the universe

  • Comment removed

  • that's what i was thinking, in fact it may be the reason our universe is what it is and wouldn't be otherwise...it may be so elegant that Elegant may be a very weak word to describe our universe...it may be just perfect...

  • So dark matter could be explained by gravitons leaking from other membranes :O

  • The pull this HUGE earth exerts on a pin can be countered by a small horse shoe magnet. That's how strong Electromagnetic force is w.r.t Gravity.

And even this Electromagnetic force pales in comparison to Nuclear force

  • An electron and Proton have equal and opposite charges and yet an electron revolves around a proton. The distance between the electron and the proton is relatively more.

But two protons stick together in the nucleus of a lithium atom! If the force of attraction is so strong across the orbit to lead to a rotation, should not the force of repulsion throw the nucleus apart!?!?

  • Gravity is the weakest force qualitatively speaking.

Compare the mass of a black hole with its gravitational force. Now compare electromagnetic forces. If you think EM force is strong? What about Nuclear forces?

  • hmm..i agree..but there is another question here..are there really only 4 forces..how are we so sure that there are only 4..maybe there are more..who knows..i mean we..human beings know so little about this universe or universes that we live in..i am almost sure that there are more than 4..

  • so gravity... makes use of a loophole!

    get it? xD

  • Gravity from other universes reaching ours is bullshit because then mass in our universe would interact with the gravity from those other universes causing everything to move randomly

  • unless it somehow mixes up finely with ours and instead of interacting to disturb it perhaps makes it what it already is???

  • Don't worry we all will find out those extra dimensions when we die..

  • i agree with you...thanks for being open minded

  • i'm trying very hard to understand this.

    and i'm BEYOND confused.

i love learning about it though and being open minded.

  • try reading magazines either at barnes and noble, borders or places of that sort where you can sit and read. They have very varied books as well but reading a few magasines would lead you to names for other readings...lets say you like what someone says then you look that paerson up on the computer...check out Michio Kaku, Brian Green for a start they have written great books

  • @teentitans0789 i feel ya man

beyond confused lol but still interested with an open mind

  • dimopolos is greek 4:03 .the teacher of einstein was greek.Greeks are the best in the subject

  • Could our dream state be part of one of these other universes?

  • no... no, it can't

  • why not?

you just contradicted several scientists who agree that parallel universes may explain our dreams of past-present-future lives which happen to be happening right now...meaning that you may change the past by changing the present which will bring new opposrtunities for your future..

  • maxsbartholdi, which scientists have claimed this woo bullshit you're talking about, and what evidence do they have?

  • guerilla you're all about power as i can see your "force"you're but show off i won't even reply to your nonsense any other way but to tell you get instructed then come back talk serious

  • stfu..

  • it's not enought o just sate that it can't you need to BACK UP what you say with scientific evidence and knowledge for me to think you have a point

  • i like this question, max!

  • Not many people are interested in Science these days, not to mention than 90 percent will not understand it because there is to much to go back, now people interested in booty shake

  • Yeah, and it's because of people like Brian Greene that there are actually some people who are interested in science. Brian Greene is the most awesome person on the face of the Earth.

  • why you d't have any comments on this videos, they are great, people should be teach about this.

  • you should be teach about english (if you are learning english now, my bad)

  • it was like 3 in the morning when I wrote that, sorry :p
