@dreamsofelegance I agree that Anette,is not the ideal singer to replaca a great singer,like Tarja.But I think,Imaginerum is a great disc.And,I believe that we can't say that Tuomas is selfish.I don't really care,if he was in love with Tarja.But if he was,for me did the best for his own.You feel horrible,when you see the one you love,with someone else.you just can't stand it.

She just held her position in the band with such a style and with awesome performance and with her voice. She was inspiration to Tuomas and they shared very special bond between them. Some may call it love - some just a special friedship. What ever, it´s gone now as we all know. Thanx Marcelo.
Yeah, it didn't work out with the other members. Sadly, she'd turnt into somewhat of a diva. Her solo album is rather good, you should check it out if you like her. (It's My Winter Storm, btw :) )

At the moment I'm supporting Anette though; she can use very well the voice Nature gave her, and the band seems so much happier now, the look much more unite, and this makes me happy as well. Harmony is essential, and Anette seems to have brought it back.
@NihilTheSiren Nobody knows of Nightwish (and Tuomas) are happy now. For example in the last show with Tarja for the End of an Era DVD the band put a good face on the matter.

Dunno, I'm not going to listen to solo Tarja either, bcause for me they are inseparable. Even though, they are not husband and wife. Tuomas's music and Tarja's voice - that's what Nightwish is to me. Without any of them - there is not Nightwish anymore, but only name.
Tarja might have been good but she was so selfish... she refused to goto one of Nightwish's concerts - because she wanted to go shopping for shoes. Thats ultimately the reason why they had to get rid of her, she was unreliable.

I'm not gonna stand against him defending the wrong part as *someone* here is doing. They need our support in this period, and I'm gonna give them mine.
As to the new singer- there are rumours that Vibeke Stene, ex Tristania vocalist will take the job, but this is only a rumour and since she left Tristania for personal reasons and judging from interviews seems quite introverted I doubt she'd want to join a commercialised band at the forefront of their genre. I personally wouldn't be surprised if Liv Kristine took the job.
But I also heard Tuomas said they don't want their new singer to come from other bands, so I suppose they'll just choose her among the girls who sent their demos
I personally think Tarja is better off without nightwish. I think she was always a diva, and because of this she was bound to leave and start her own project. She must have got bored of NW towards the end of it, her voice was never really stretched during her career in Nightwish, and in stead of her voice leading the music, it was more led by the metal element of the music
I just think that latino guy ruined and spoiled her. He made her turn into a selfish diva with no personality, and this was the least thing Tuomas and any other wanted.
I think his letter was so kindly and gently written. Any other guy who wanted to kick her out would just have yelled at her she was a bitch and she had to leave.

Now it is Anette's era, I have come to adore her, and I am willing to see where she will take Nightwish, Plus it's still the same mind blowing music, cause we havn't lost the other four members ^_^.
Don't like that, well then Tarja now has a new album, you can listen to that, Or you can just live in the past.

But every end has a new beginning too. It's a new era for the band and they need their fan's support. If you say you're not going to listen to the new singer then you're not a true fan of the band, you're not a fan of the band's music and lyrics. You are a fan of tarja only. The true emotion of the band is still here... Anyway if you still want to hear tarja buy her cd.

Dunno, I'm not going to listen to solo Tarja either, bcause for me they are inseparable. Even though, they are not husband and wife. Tuomas's music and Tarja's voice - that's what Nightwish is to me. Without any of them - there is not Nightwish anymore, but only name.

oh my God... I really start to regret of watching that video, because I just cant stop crying!
The only thing that bothers me, is WHY did Tuomas choose to let her go instead of fighting for her, if he loved her so much?
Anyway, for me Nightwish doesnt exist anymore... I will never accept the new singer.

Tarja might have been good but she was so selfish... she refused to goto one of Nightwish's concerts - because she wanted to go shopping for shoes. Thats ultimately the reason why they had to get rid of her, she was unreliable.

But I trust Tuomas. I've always done, and I will always.
I'm not gonna stand against him defending the wrong part as *someone* here is doing. They need our support in this period, and I'm gonna give them mine.

As to the new singer- there are rumours that Vibeke Stene, ex Tristania vocalist will take the job, but this is only a rumour and since she left Tristania for personal reasons and judging from interviews seems quite introverted I doubt she'd want to join a commercialised band at the forefront of their genre. I personally wouldn't be surprised if Liv Kristine took the job.

I personally think Tarja is better off without nightwish. I think she was always a diva, and because of this she was bound to leave and start her own project. She must have got bored of NW towards the end of it, her voice was never really stretched during her career in Nightwish, and in stead of her voice leading the music, it was more led by the metal element of the music

I just think that latino guy ruined and spoiled her. He made her turn into a selfish diva with no personality, and this was the least thing Tuomas and any other wanted.
I think his letter was so kindly and gently written. Any other guy who wanted to kick her out would just have yelled at her she was a bitch and she had to leave.
He used to consider her a friend, and look at what she's done to him&the others.
His letter was filled with sadness.
I'm for him.

It was worse than yelling: he threw her overboard while patting himself on the back.
A gentleman wouldn't have made the letter public, he'd have told the press 'Its in everyone's best interest' instead to taking cheap shots at her husband.
And he should have told her to her face rather than by letter, which was cowardly.
But I shouldn't have called him a racist: that's how his cracks about 'marrying someone from another culture' sound, but that's not proof, and I apologize.

Yeah, me too. In truth, I agree with Tuomas&the others, but on the other side I wish like hell she never left. I used to cry everytime I heard this song, after the split-up. Now I can control my tears, thank God ;) Thank you so much for your comment, I'm glad you liked it ^__^
