the "shapes without the objects" are two remote players. we (martin and me) were playing in linz, at the ars electronica conference 2005 in austria. while two more players (chris brown and günter geiger) were playing in barcelona, spain.
this was the first ever concert of the reactable.
the piece was composed by chris brown (he even reprogrammed the objects with supercollider).
those missing pieces are a preatty common method when making music. In a "1 man show" you preatty much record all the repeadable stuff and only work the stuf that continuesly needs to be adjusted because of the "lack of hands" :) I'm preatty sure whowever was making this could have recorded every single move but then it wouldnt have any human interaction so this would be more like just listening to music instead of a concert with a show behind it.
how does that shit works.. someone explains me please..

w8 those other shapes of the figures only without the objects.
is that recorded movement or is that interactive link up with another table?
StealMONKEY 5 years ago
i would guess a linkup, or "shadows" that simply dont have enough pieces to make. :l
