I am a native from Madeira who's been lucky enough to be able to travel the world and witness different fireworks displays, and the truth is none of them came any close to our displays back at home.

I was there in 07/08 New years. Best fireworks I have ever been too. For size and scale, Madeira is the best, but it was the same display last year and the year before...
@antoniofreitasuk considerando que a Madeira factura entre 1.6-2 mil milhões de euros por ano só em turismo (sendo uma grande fatia disso só do fim do ano) diria que só nos primeiros segundos do fogo já estava este mais do que pago ;)

I was on holiday with my friend on Madeira from December 27, 2010 until January 3, 2011.
Of course we saw this amazing, spectacular and most beautiful fireworks. We were in the harbor. Everywhere we looked we saw fireworks.
Truly the most amazing fireworks we ever saw.
Thank you Madeira for your kindness and hospitality.
And of course, thank you for this great fireworks.
