  • Mr Wilson--I live in Portland, OR. Although I have not personally visited that particular roof-top garden, I can tell you that the trees, even those in the center of the downtown area, are seriously BIG.

    One of the most common trees in our area is Psuedotsuga Menziesiei, or Douglas Fir, which commonly grows 5-8" per year, topping out at approximately 180 feet.

    You should come out and take a look. You might end up renaming everything "Northwest Permaculture"
