Ok so, I am confused. Why does Spider, Meaty, Bentley, and Hyper like to get double tap? I consider it a useless perk as it just wastes your ammo faster. If Meaty or somebody wjo uses Double Tap a lot would like to answer my qeustion, then go ahead. Maybe I will try usikng Double Tap, but I don't see it as a good perk except for semi-autos, shotguns, betties, MP40, and the BAR (and bolt actions as well). If it's an automatic that shoots faster than the MP40, I don't think it needs double tap.

@clone150 I also view Double Tap as a useless perk but only on earlier rounds (20 and below perhaps). this is as far as most average players will get but as rounds get higher obviously it takes more bullets to kill zombies and when doing 4 player kiting, or "rape training", isn't the most effective strategy since it can get a bit confusing. that's where Double Tap is helpful. if it takes 45 bullets to kill a zombie and it takes you 4 seconds to shoot a full clip with DT it takes 2 seconds.
