@bette1908 : see, thats what i thought. i remember that jock was married to another woman b4 he met miss ellie ( referring to the dallas prequel movie). btw: i thought it was really sweet and funny at the end of the dallas movie how litle pam walked up to little bobby and he hide behind his mom; if only he knew lol.

@HnHBlkM Right but Jock's 1st wife Amanda wasn't Ray's mother. Margaret Hunter is Ray's mother. She was a nurse in the army that Jock met when he was in WW2.

I loved Val and Gary's response when Karen welcomed them and invited them to dinner. It was like, "we sure aren't in Texas anymore, Toto, people are actually warm and welcoming and nice".

Annie was never seen after this episode. I dont recall them ever mentioning her again. They had stopped mentioning Lucy in the 83-84 season and one last time in the 13th season when they thought Val was dead and had her funeral service and they mentioned Lucy couldn't make it because she was too distraught.. I think they should have had Lucy be a regular after she left Dallas. I bet she and Abby would have had great scenes together sniping and plotting against each other..

TheJaking87, I don't think we ever saw the Fairgates dog at all on the show. In my opinion Valene looks beautiful in the pilot episode of Knots Landing.

Yes, Val/JVA was beautiful. Sort of funny seeing Ted S. again this young, and playing a (more or less) "good guy, and thinking of him now, playing smarmy Jeffrey on "The Young and the Restless".

I guess family ties don't mean that much to some people. At the beginning of season six, Diana left town as her mother was recovering from a gunshot wound, but she didn't stick around long enough to see if her Aunt Abby was rescued from the Wolfbridge group. It was rather selfish, considering Abby gave Diana sanctuary when she fell out with her mother over Chip.

I loved the fact that Gary & Valene had a life outside of Southfork, something that nobody else in the Ewing Family could say about themselves, except for Lucy. Hey, if you type in Deena Payne (Emmerdale) A UK Soap Opera, she looks a little like Michelle Lee.

A little bit but Bobby, JR & Lucy only appeared on this show and not the other cast members. What you may not know is that before he played Gary, Ted Shackleford was on Another World as a guy named Ray who was Sally Frame's real father.

i loved the character of val and was distraught when she was killed in teh last season. i was so estatic was she returned. is the scene where gary sees the car explodes and he thinks val was in it and she had died posted here. this is from teh last season
