you can do this with a little girl in lamplight caverns still. i dont remember if you get xp though, because i did it at lvl 30, just so i could get the trophy for 50 speech challenges. plus, its always at 100% so its not hard. it is not patched

this is a good plan but a much much faster way to earn XP after u get to whatever level the mr sandman perk is at, you can use that to murder sleeping children (: over and over and over again (: it works quite well. though sometimes the kids of fallout won't always go back to sleep wich can be annoying

What if I have downloaded the DLC's, but haven't gone on a single one, clear my cache and then do this glitch? After leveling, save, restart the game (download patch) and then continue on my way. Would this work?

@Bobsplosion - Seems like it should. However, there are better glitches that work after-patch, or that do the same thing after-patch. Search for the Scrap-Metal glitch or the Frag Mine glitch =)

@animaluchos - Yes, you can have around many several different games going on at once. Just choose a different save slot instead of writing over the top of the one you want to save for another time.

IDK if anyone can help, but when i play fallout 3 i cant get anywhere because i always run out of ammo or my weapons break and i get killed by raiders or super mutants. Any suggestions?

@Cclebron - That was quite possibly my biggest criticism of the game, I had the same problems when I first started. My best suggestion is, instead of going straight to Megaton when you get out of the cave, is to circle around to the left (climbing over some of the rocks) and finding an overpass nearby. If you can shoot your way through the raiders on that overpass as it ramps upward, you can get a bunch of weapons right from the beginning, and a lot of caps to use to buy ammo.

@ablestmage thats odd people have problems finding weponsi have way to many,its hard to chose between what guns to keep either its a minigun or a big boy mini nuke my suggestion it to use a very common gun like a hand gun for a little bit or a shot gun and when there about 50% stop using them and get your rebuild/fix perk all the way up and use a melee for awhile, thats what im doing and dont buy ammo let ammo come to you, waste of caps.i only sell now and never buy and i got at least 5000 caps

@Cclebron i had the same problems dude my idea for u is to go to megaton and do the guide missions for moira and get a submachine gun pistol as fast as possible and buy nothing but 10mm rounds from every trader ya know? then everytime you level up put all ur skill points on small guns but my advice is just to chill in megaton and do a lil roaming around if your injured drink from a water fountin lol

@shahroz47 - from what I understand, you will only get trophies after installing the patch. Whether you'll get trophies for stats you've already got (such as speech challenges), I have no idea.

@TRU3xV3T3R4N - the best help is to simply not do this trick anymore. It's not really worth it because unpatching is mad hassle. Just use other tricks like the Frag Mine glitch that doesn't require unpatching.

@Oasistudios - But if you've only gone so far out of the way as Big Town, it's not but a short walk to Megaton again where you can load up on better weapons. I think being able to do missions with awesome abilities outranks having to fight tougher enemies early on. Also, once you start doing missions and are familiar with these higher-ranking enemies, it won't be harder to branch out to other areas where the enemies never get tougher than they already are.

I Think the fort Independence glitch works a lot better after you get 22 or more pieces of scrap metal. Then combine that glitch with the water supply quest in megaton to get infinite caps, stempacks, frag granades, .552 ammo, rad away, and exp.

Test in my logic. Got Fallout 3 coming from Gamefly. W/O the internet connected, I install the game on my PS3 & follow the steps. Once I have the EXP I want I save my game. Now I have Fallout 3 GOTY on hand but haven't used it. I install that game & use the save file from the from Fallout 3 on the GOTY edition. Sound logic or just stupid?

@MrPerdition - That would probably work, just probably not in the reverse. Generally saves from saves from older versions of software will work with newer versions, but saves from a newer version MAY not work with the older version.
