* Lagaan
* Taare Zameen Par (get ur kids to watch this film)

Sorry but aamir is what 30% of what Kamal is.. aamir chooses n makes good films yes but he isnt a brilliant actor. he's the only GOOD actor in 'bollywood' but Kamal Haasan is one who's born to act! 50+ yrs n styl continues. there's simply no comparison. mayb u can compare aamir w/ vikram? if u knw who he is..vikram styl beats aamir in acting

@Akiithebest Agree akii I'm a huge fan of kamal hassan, hez my fav actor. I'm from Hyd and the telugu movie "Sagara Sangamam" is my fav film. But I appreciate Aamir coz he was the only one in the nineties to not bank on yash chopra's formulaic films and he managed to carve his own unique path in the industry. Aamir in fact is a huge fan of Kamal too :) Kamal is a flawed genius in that he makes films for the fun of it, whereas Aamir does different films but makes sure they do well :)

@Akiithebest Kamal was rubbish in Dashavataram. The characters were all using mask and looked so artificial and did not even look like real people. Most stupid movie. I think Amir is a brilliant actor and Kamal is nowhere compared to him. Kamal is not even 20% or what Aamir is. You are right when you said there is no comparison as AAmir is way ahead of Kamal. Vikram is another rubbish actor if compared to Aamir. Please don't even put the 2 together, vikram will be disgraced.

And just because someone has been in the movies for 50+ years does not mean he is a legend or is good. Even Naseruddin Shah has been in the movies more than 50+ years. And if you want to talk about legend, then the only legend in whole of india is Amitabh Bachan and no one can beat that. Even Sir Richard Attenborough called him a 1 man industry.

And no one can touch Amitabh and this is a fact which was accepted by the whole world when Amitabh won the Star of the millenium beating even the likes of Robert De Niro and will smith. If Kamal was so great or so good, why did he not win. So the majority of people who voted felt that Amitabh is the best. Thats speaks for itself. Remember that was a worldwide voting via internet.

BTW he's not only an actor, he's a director, screenwriter, choreographer, singer etc. Kamal is the most decorated actor in terms of awards in the history of Indian cinema, most # of national awards as an actor..After Sivaji Ganeshan it's Kamal Haasan. & yes Vikram is a much better actor than Aamir Khan. Vikram can easily pull off a lagaan, rang de basanti or evn a 3 idiots. as for aamir i dnt believe he can easily pull off a sethu/ pithamagan.

But styl, there r so many movies which don't get 2 go 2oscars simply because their not a product of 'bollywood' at least bak in the days. For ex: maniratnam directd 'peck on the cheek' shuld'v gone 2 d oscars n it would've bagged an award! It's not always abt oscars mate. Aamir has won several awards but many filmi awards were declined by him There was a time when Aamir refused to accept any awards and boycotted those awards. And for your information Aamir was awarded the Padma Shri Awards in 2003 and Padma Bushan award in 2010. He also turned down Madame Tussauds offer to immortalize him in a wax statue in her Muzium. It the movie you mentioned was really so good, it would have been nomitated.

@rksandhu24 The movie I mentioned is amazing, but it wasn't 4some stupid reason, devdas was. I nvr said Aamir wasn't talented or that he's a bad actor. I've seen all his movies, he's great. I didn't bring up d award shit u did. M jus sayin there's no actor in india who can compete w/ mr. kamal haasan, but nonetheless aamir is a great talent, hes probably the only good one up north nowadays. Rajnikanth got those awards too, doesn't mean he's a great actor, he's actually terrible.

Even south Director K Balachander called Aamir Khan a Genius where Aamir was Awarded the Golapudi Awards which is a South Indian Award. but now the audience esp the rising middle class and the youth prefer films based on realism.....based on things they can associate with......and bollywood is changing .....there are a lot of meaningful films coming out along with the mass-oriented commercial churners :D its quite exciting actually for some1 like me who has been following bollywood since the golden 60s!

heh and here in india some people end up hating these films......well the thing wid the songs is....india has a gr8 history wid music, dance, its own people forget its amazingly rich and diverse culture......the masses in india (arnd 70%) who work throughout the day dont go to theaters to watch well-documented films, they watch films to relax and forget their worries if the films have a touch of realism :)

sorry to say but aamir is a better actor than srk....hrthik is a complete package....gr8 looks and talented......what srk brings to the film is energy...he is a reasonably talented.....amazingly energetic and a very very smart ( brains ) guy :)
