Hey, does anyone know if this song was ever used in a film or TV show? When I listen I get the inkling that it was used in something in the 80s, but I can't quite think of it. Maybe I'm on the really wrong track though.
i love fleetwood mac there the greatest in the world it reminds me of when i was a child when my dad was still a part of our life. he use to ride me around in a big green LTD and i was so small i rode IN the steering wheele thats one of the most vivid memories of me and my dad before he left so when i here them i get a warm feeling.
I want to hear any song where Lindsey is singing Lead, but I don't have time to go through ALL the Fleetwood Mac Videos. So any of you die hard Fans know songs with Lindsey inging lead, please send them my way!! Thanks!!
Joe Walsh never played in Fleetwood Mac. That would be Bob Welch.Yes,this is definitely not early Mac.The early band of Peter Green,Jeremy Spencer,Danny Kirwan,Fleetwood and the McVie's leaned more toward blues and sounded virtually nothing like the later ensemble.Except for Christine McVie's knack for writing top 40 songs, this later band was the Lindsey Buckingham show. His musicianship and production skills are all over every cut. Then when he left, they tried to replace him with two guitarists
Yea, it was not the same without Linsey in the band. The guitarist was pretty good, but not so with the guy to sing for Linsey.
Hey, you guys may be interested on how to make $300 to 4K per month. Just reply to my comment. There is a guy in Cal who charges $12 for what I tell you for Free.
To whoever thought this was EARLY Fleetwood Mac.....in various incarnations they go all the way back to the Sixties....Joe Walsh played with them then...Mick Fleetwood and the McVie's have been a constant.
One of my favorites too! 1977 Fleetwood Mac concert at the fabulous Forum was the 2nd concert I went to. Such great memories from my early teen years.
I believe this was the first album with Lindsey and possibly Stevie and it's certainly the one that made constant radio play...so in that respect it's early popular Fleetwood Mac. It's the point many poeple caught on. Don't mean to be persnickety about it...just know it was the first time I went whoa!!! peace.
He was an above average singer when he was young. Saying this as a Lindsey Buckingham fan, his voice didnt age well. Plus I'd say he's an underrated guitarist/musician by most non-fans.
john mcvie is a rock solid bassist. he may be no john entwistle but he has some wonderful parts that complement the songs beautifully. see rhiannon.
christine mcvie wrote don't stop, songbird, over my head, and you make loving fun. she also won a melody maker award for her vocals on i'd rather go blind when she was in blue horizon.
stevie nick was very cute, but she also wrote dreams, landslide, and rhiannon
I understand what you're saying but i think they're all talented. Lindsey is just amazing..Great voice...all these clowns say he was an underrated guitarist but I think it's a known fact that he's great and I do hear him get guitarist praise BUT...he's not recognized enough for the great vocals..He has an amazing voice and chops and THAT is where the underrated comes in.
What an uplifting, feel good piece of music! As always w/Fleetwood Mac! A very great band for there era! Yet still stands the test of time today! I havent listened to to them in many years & now this makes me weant to buy thier entire catalouge! All my albums from the late 70,s didnt survive the last 3 decades! But ive always felt that Lindsey Hunter is one of the most underated guitar players ever! genius! Not to mention the unparalled harmonies of the rest of the band!Thanx for posting! cheers!
I agree with you, and his name is Buckingham, and yes, he is definitely a genius, and an underrated one to be sure. His vocals, his expressiveness overall, his lyrical prowess, his guitar playing, just brilliant.
i agree with retro...bucks looks like jesus in the film (robert someone)...he also looks like a bit like a 70s footballer called socrates who played for brazil...he even looks a bit like kevin keegan...
There is not a better guitar player in this world then Lindsay Buckingham! Just has God gave us his awesome talent HE also gave us Stevie Nicks 'uncomparable' AWESOME voice! Thank you God for the gift of Lindsay & Stevie
For one thing, he deserves credit as a masterful producer to have perfectly arranged all of Stevie's and Christine's hits, to which he contributed some brilliant and memorable guitarplay as well. He's a great talent, as is everyone else in the band.
BTW, I have upmost respect for Lindsey, but Peter Green was just so much better. And Clapton used to be called "God", but Gary Moore can outplay him 10 fold. Go to Gary's Red House, Still Got The Blues, or any other song he does. Clapton is way overrated. Peace, Mr. Green.
How about replacing Lindsey with Peter Green? He started FM. Then again, he got messed up really bad, but is playing again. He would put Lindsey to shame in his younger days and Lindsey can play!

There's no question Lindsey had a huge influence on Fleetwood Mac.
This is one of my favourite early Fleetwood Mac songs.
