  • im 36 years old and this song make me feel like its to me i looooooooove it

  • I love this delightful song from long ago. It is such a happy song and makes one feel so nice and practically has me smiling listening to it. It brings back some of the feeling one had with those first few very young "loves." It makes one feel 11 or 12. Great post.

  • Millie was born Millicent Smith. She hit #2 in Billboard, 7-4-64. God bless ya, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • Reggae, '64 style! Thanx for postin' it. Have a great week! One love!

  • She's so cute singing this song!!

  • Love it!!!!

  • you white people change reggae music to ska and call elvis the king of rock and his not the king of pop and rock is michaell jackson peace to you all and take care god bless u

  • @leehntn Oh baloney! It was called ska before it was called reggae. Try to do some research before making wild claims. Michael Jackson may or not be king of pop but Elvis is King of Rock N Roll.

  • @leehntn Ska came before reggae...

  • great to hear millie again. ska was followed by rocksteady then came reggae... all greaaaat dances, music and times!

  • Does this count as reggae!

  • @cbr4 Some people say it is ska which was the predecessor of reggae. I don't see it myself.

  • I recently read Rod Stewart plays the harmonica as a session player for this track, which was the first ska song to be a hit.

  • Great Song, Jamiacan girls are awesome!!!

  • I usuta dislike this song. As I get older I like it more. The proof is me here lookin at it.

  • sweet song

  • DUDE THX FOR THIS VIDEO..SHE IS A BABE!!!!!!

  • SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Jamaican Ska at its best.

  • According to Jimmy Powell though, none of the above stories are correct. "I played harmonica on My Boy Lollipop and Mike Carroll did the clapping" says Jimmy. In addition, Jimmy Powell was also hired by Jack Goode to play the harmonica on P.J. Proby's 1964 hit Hold Me and if you listen to this record you can hear the similarity in the playing which indeed supports Jimmy's claim.

  • @tonycree Thank you for that information Tony. What is your source? If I can verify it I would like to add it to the information panel.

  • @John1948NineC yes I would like to know too. Been 5 months did Tonycree ever give you sources? I happen to be into history of music and currrently this song is my obsession, and everything in the description is what I heard from wikipedia
