They probably didn't buy because they can't put any armor on it. It has to be open-air, otherwise the soldiers would be stuck if it started sinking. That, or it's just to complicated to actually use on the battlefield. Either way... I still want one.
@bliss0512 no? for who do you think they had builded this? I don't see you, me, or the average joe buying this. What would we do with this? There must be something wrong about the design, cause this looks and breaths army all over it. A lot of money down the drain...
@periesicsd well I don't see you, me, or the average joe buying an RC plane worth a million dollars either, but they exist, and the army found a use for them. My point is, just cuz the army didn't get interested in it, doesn't mean that it's faulty. I bet you if there was suddenly a war in an area where there was a great deal of terrain that was both water and land, and hovercrafts didn't cut it, this would probably get funded, no?
@bliss0512 Hmm, possible, yes. I'm just wondering, i don't think they sell a lot of these, and development costs really a lot, so what else do they sell?! LOL, maybe it's just to cheap to buy for the army, cause they've got this huge amount to spend, or the company didn't "pay" them enough to get a contract! with "payed" them, i mean, under the table, not official, not in the books, ofcourse! lol BTW; do you also use the term "black money", non officially gained? Thanks
@periesicsd Dude corruption runs rampant all over the world. Some places its more well-hidden than others, but it exists nevertheless. This is just something that is developed by these guys based on the idea of a truly amphibious vehicle, which I think has application. For example, flood-hit urban areas where there might be areas of deep water, not accessible by road vehicles. If the army does adopt this vehicle, they will probably develop it further to fit their needs. That's the "funding". :)
If only my Jeep Rubicon could do that! ...damn, is that ever kewl! The ultimate bugout vehicle!
