Okay that copying and replacing the house worked so far! Thank God. Damn that was irritating... I was like "Shiiiiiiiiit I just got them all on the right track and they are only 2 weeks in and almost done with their career paths... And now I have to start over because of a glitch???"

Hey, I had a similar sound but it was diffrent from what you got, I did Trestauro's advice of quitting the job and that did not work, still kept on playing. I've got nearly all sims on PC so it was fustrating at the start then so I was still playing, got DLC and stuff but that noise was always there.."listen to your avatar play the drums or bass guitar? I have a question. I have a sim that has reached level 10 in painting and still I only get the options to paint small medium or large. Also the cell phone has no options to take a picture and they don't appear in the inventory either. Is it not possible to take sim pictures or paintings in the xbox version or is something wrong?
I don't have a resolution for the current glitches but I do have one for the WAITING OUTSIDE glitch. If your sime gets stuck in waiting outside mode (when a sim waits for someone to invite them into their house) and they do it all the time inside or out......all you have to do to fix this problem is move. and the glitch will be gone. But it will be nice to get the problems fixed with all the other major glitches...I have had them all by the way :(

i had this too! someone in your household failed at something thing is who..? ..infact here is what you do.............. get all of your ppl in the house out of the house.. follow them to a diff loction in the town. when you hear this sound again and your ppl are in town send them all home and stay in the town dont follow them do this until you hear the sound..when you hear it go back home then this will stop... worked for me :) should also work for you :)
i found a quick fix- the cause of this is the toyota prius download (at least for me) so if you downloaded tht, delete it. if not, delete your install data, re-install, and just dont update until 1.5 comes out
Hey, Ive got something bothering me too. The rooms all have high walls an doors. You can barely see into rooms anymore. In my last file I couldnt even go in my house. Getting kinda pissed. Way too many problems do far. I got this game like a week ago and already. If you can help or know what to do could u tell me??
One thing I would suggest though is checking to see if the sound effect problem is still there when you play on a different gamer profile. If not, then the glitch is linked to your gamer profile, so maybe deleting it from your hard drive and recovering it will work?
My game has frozen twice, not when I'm trying to save though, its right when I bring something out of buy or build mode. Its an easy solution, I just save every 5 minutes or so if I'm doing a lot of building. As for the sound effect glitch, I hope it doesn't happen to me =S
@drewfla The infamous "save glitch". You're not alone. I think about 40% of TS3 owners have this problem, whether it's PC, PS3, Wii or Xbox. Depending on the game, once you get to a certain week, you can't save anymore and the game becomes unplayable. Have you downloaded anything from The Exchange? Or do you have a lot of saved customized clothing or items?
yh ur house seems to be a little cramped if u buy a phone and click on it and at the very bottom it says move and if u dont hav the cheats look them up and buy a mansion
the glitch i had was when i was trying to teach my toddler to talk, i got it to learn how to talk. but then i couldnt get it to stop! and it wouldnt let me erase that action either! so the government came and took my baby after like 3 days cuz i couldnt feed my baby or anything cuz it wouldn't shut up. lol. its kinda funny tho.
You have to copy your house and then replace it with your old one. YOur wishes will be deleted but it will get rid of the noise. Mine kept looping the opportunity sound effect. Copy the house and the sound was gone. Hope this helps.

you can fix the music looping glitch, just copy your house, and then replace it with it. Everything should be how it was (although wishes and promises get removed, small price to pay really) and the music playing, GONE!
That's just retarded. I have both glitches as well, but I'm going to mute the sound effects so thanks for that tip (I thought it was the music ><) but it should really be fixed, in order to get new wishes and stuff you'd just have to complete all the wishes for that sim and some are just crappy. :P
Ok i had the same problem you had the sound effects would keep
replaying over and over, i couldnt do the wishes like in your video so i had to turn off the sound effect but i turned it back on and the next thing i knew when my sim retired from his job the sound effect stopped looping and i could assign wishes again, so you either retire your sim or just quit his job. I dont know if it will work for anybody else but it worked for me.

I have both of these glitches, I find the sound effect one I just get use to, I normally forget about it after a few minutes and its become normal for me, however the wish list glitch I can not stand as I am stuck on all wishes that involve me interacting with a dead sim, and I dont really want to waste karma on bring him back So I can no longer really do any wishes or see what opportunities I have, and it's making me want to just stop playing the game.

@FadedBlackangel Yeah I tried playing with muted sound effects also. Okay but now I've discovered a way to replace that loud sound effect with the one from town map, which is much less annoying and is quieter. I can't fit it here or in the video description, so if you or anybody else with this glitch wants to see, go my blogger site, I added it to the bottom of video description . You still won't be able to hear certain things, like stereo though. Tell me if that fix works on your PS3 too.
I've had the freezing problem. I haven't had this one but the music has looped before in build/buy mode. You should send this vid to EA via their live chat/forums. They said they are at the research phase of the update, and should take 2-3 more months for a patch to come out. But tons of DLC will come out.
@Izemann92 I did send the video to EA. Their support was worthless. I received a standard form letter, that was all. They said clear your cache, delete game settings, delete your save file and start over. Standard stuff. I added more details about it in the description.

All you have to do is quit the job of the sim that has the wishes and opportunities glitch. It worked for me. I hope it works for you guys.

I have both of these glitches, I find the sound effect one I just get use to, I normally forget about it after a few minutes and its become normal for me, however the wish list glitch I can not stand as I am stuck on all wishes that involve me interacting with a dead sim, and I dont really want to waste karma on bring him back So I can no longer really do any wishes or see what opportunities I have, and it's making me want to just stop playing the game.
