  • Awh, thanks man, those fish are very nice and fancy. I hope to have them someday

  • I love that kind of Goldfish :). I hope to start having Goldfish someday, I wish your fish good luck and a long life

  • @Lionelridge Thank you so much! Give your future fish lots of space (at least 10 gallons per fish) and clean water, and they will reward you with great health and lots of personality :)

  • @greyanemone Thanks for the tips. Can't wait to have one, I am already planning to have a Goldfish aquarium with some fancy kinds. Can you give me the names of the kind fish you have in your tank? Thank you

  • @Lionelridge Sure - the grey one is a "blue oranda", the two with bumpy scales are called "pearlscales", and the one with the high back and red and white coloring is called a "ryukin." These are all fish that need to be kept in clean water with lots of space so they can achieve their natural size and their nice large fins.

  • i luv your goldfish clive

  • happy little fishes! :)

  • Very nice fish! I think my favorite one is the pearlie with more white :)

  • @123codfan Well, test your water and do a water change! Sounds like your fish are sick. Please check out thegab.org -- their goldfish care links on the side bar should tell you all kinds of useful info.

  • @greyanemone dont worry 2 are eating 2 arent

  • @123codfan Well that still sounds like you have a problem, if two aren't eating... Please take some time and read up a little on goldfish care and healthy water, as I'm sure you care about your fish and they don't deserve to suffer if you can make some simple improvements to their living conditions. Good luck! thegab.org is the best resource, I can't state that enough, so don't hesitate to read their articles or even join their forum with questions, they are incredibly helpful.

  • NICE FISH MAN. I JUST LOVE THE BUBBLE EYES, BUT I MUST SAY THAT I DO HAV RED /WHITE ORANDAS WHICH I ADOR. ITS HARD FINDING NICE COLOURATION HERE. THEY USHALLY COM IN RED OR WHITE AND BLACK. UR TANK AND FISHES R HEALTHY MAN. NICE I FEED MINE HIRAKI PELLETS AND FROZON WORM BLOCKS. THIS INCREASES THE HEAD GROWTH AND MAKES THEM FAT LOOL

  • Wow nice fish! How many have you got it there all together? There really nice im new to looking after fish I have had 2 For 3 Months And 1 For 3 Days I heard you can feed them lettuce do you buy special lettuce from a pet store or just normal lettuce?

  • @MrRawrllyX

Thank you! You can feed them regular lettuce from the store, the greener the better (like romaine lettuce). Don't leave it in the tank to rot though.

They also like dried seaweed you can get at the pet store. It gets soft again in the tank and they love to chew it up. You can get a special clip to hold lettuce or seaweed to keep it in one spot for them to tear up more easily (or you can tie it with a rubber band to a rock - highly recommended so they can rip it easily.)

  • @greyanemone Oh thanks thats great ill have to try that!

How often can you feed them peas and stuff?

  • @MrRawrllyX

You can feed them peas every other day probably. Just make sure to balance their diet with other things like bits of sardines, store-bought goldfish food, etc. (sinking pellets are better than flakes).

You should pop the peas and feed the fish only the green bits from inside if you can, the shells are hard to digest uncooked and a lot of smaller fish can't fit a whole pea in their mouths :) Check out thegab.org for more good food advice and ideas about what to feed!

  • @greyanemone Okay thankyou... ,

Before i left the house my two fishes that I have had for 3 months were led at the back of the tank stiff still I came over and only one of them came to me i left and the one that came over went back to just laying at the back of the tank I came back and one was swimming about and the other was still there. The new fish kept going over nudging them and led on one of them and they dident do anything!

Is there something wrong with them?

  • @MrRawrllyX

Unfortunately they are probably sick, my guess is with some kind of internal parasite. Lethargic behavior like that often means they have gill flukes. PraziPro or another fluke medication of some kind would probably be a good idea to use - once one fish has it they all catch it easily.

Please consider joining the forums at thegab.org too, everyone there *loves* goldfish and will give you very thorough and excellent advice on any problems.

  • @greyanemone What is a Gill flukes and PraziPro? And can you notice it?

  • @MrRawrllyX

YouTube won't let me put links in my comments, so please just google "Goldfish gill flukes" and "prazipro" and you will see what I mean and if you fish have them. Flukes are microscopic so you won't be able to see them, but they can cause fish to lay on the bottom. Other diseases can cause this too however so please read up on different goldfish ilnesses. "thegab.org" has a lot of that sort of info.

  • @greyanemone Ok thank you loads. xx

  • Oh wow, thse fish are lovely. How big is the tank that you keep them in and how big of a tank to you reccomend keeping fully grown adults in? I'm thinking about getting a bigger thank for my current fish (Two fantails) but I don't know what the best size would be. Thank you :D

  • @MissDaisyLoo

Thank you! This tank is a 65 gallon, the one that is more tall/squarely proportioned (I think you can get a longer version of the 65 gallon too).

I thought this was the perfect size for me and my goldfish. Each adult goldfish should have 10-15 gallons for itself, so I only kept four of them in here.

For your fish, maybe a 29 gallon or a 37 gallon would be great, but of course the bigger the better because goldfish love to swim around and explore.

    :)

  • @MissDaisyLoo @MissDaisyLoo @MissDaisyLoo

This is the best goldfish website/forum I've found and where I really learned a LOT about goldfish keeping, I highly recommend reading their information and joining their boards. You can get help and advice on any issue from a lot of experienced fishkeepers.

    thegab.org

  • perfect fishes

    not huge

    long tails and fins

    very nice!

  • Lol, 0.20 the blue oranda swims straight into the pearlscale and they bump heads XD I'm really glad that your perlscales look like that too, because I thought I'd been sold a normal fancy as a perlscale [Merlin [my pearlscale] was one of the original fish I bought for my tank, so I wasn't familiar with goldfish keeping/breeds at the time]. He's only a baby still, though and you can see his crown just faintly and tomorrow he'll be moving house, with the panda moors, into a 260L tank :D

  • thay can but its not nice for them thay perfer much colder water.

  • How much were your goldfish>?

  • @speedyfish123 Sorry I never responded to this before - these goldfish were all purchased as small babies for not much money, but I fed them a good homemade diet and provided them a large (65 gallons) aquarium so they had lots of room to grow. They rewarded me by becoming large, beautiful happy fish :)

  • my friend has goldfish in tropical tanks with a temperature of 27 degrees celcius

can they live properly like that

  • Comment removed

  • aww...I love that all they think about is food...so cute!

  • i have a blue orand just like yours :) well mines not ads big but hes gettin there :)

  • Im just wondering what kind of food that you feed them i feed mine tetra gold fish food

  • goldfish typically do well with flake food. read the ingredients and make sure there isn't much meat in them. I use a premium goldfish food that is mostly veggies with some fish oil. But they also love a varied diet. I give mine spinach, romaine lettuce, broccoli, and occasionally bloodworms or hamburger for a treat. too many meaty foods will raise the ammonia level rapidly.

  • Gorgeous specimens! A very healthy looking little bunch!

  • Very pretty!

  • Beautiful goldfish.

  • WOW those fishies are big. are they fantail?... cuz mine are fantail and are nowhere near the size of those!! but beautiful fish!

  • These are fantails, yep. They need lots of space and lots of food to get nice and big, so get them the biggest tank you can and feed them quality stuff :)

  • i love their tails

  • how old are they?curently i hv 5 fantails stillvery small in a 2ftlong 1 ft wide and 1.5ft high do u think its enought ????the fish look happy and the tank looks very spacious so is it okay pls reply any1

  • These fish. are about 7 months old here.

Each fish needs about 10 gallons of water, I think your tank is too small for them to stay in for very long. Each fish can get pretty large (as you can see in my video) and they produce a lot of waste that a small tank just cannot handle.

  • how big do fantails grow?and how long can i keep them in my tank

  • They can grow to be about six inches long. I would work on getting them a bigger tank sometime in the next few months. If you keep them in too small of a tank, the amount of waste they make (they are messy fish) will build up in the water and poison them, making them sick. That is why goldfish don't last very long in bowls, it really hard on them. Try and get the biggest tank you can for them, or find someone with a big tank or pond you can put some of them in maybe, so they stay healthy/happy.

  • sry for wasting ur time but i hv 2 more question.how long does it take them to grow that big and can they eat micro pellets or do they hv to eat goldfish food

  • I don't mind, I'm happy to answer your questions. It would be best to feed them goldfish food, or a few different kinds of food so they get some variety. You can keep using the pellets but I would maybe get them something else too. Their favorite foods are sinking foods (like pellets that don't float) because then they don't need to gulp air when they're trying to eat.

  • thx very much

  • They can actually grow to be 12 inches long in the right conditions, but that's if they live a long life... :)

  • wonderfull!!!!!!!!!

  • your fishes are georgous. mine are just big and fat.

  • wow they look great

so how big is the tank??

  • Thanks! :)

    The tank is 65 gallons.

They have grown a lot more since this video even - I'll have to post another one soon.

  • I love fantail goldfish. Once I made the mistake of buying some with periscope eyes and the others ate on of their eyes. It was ghastly ! So, b careful. Another thing : Plecos will suck on goldfish because they have so much jell on them. So buy small ones only.

  • Small ones grow into big ones, so that's not altogether wise.

  • lol the black one rolled over

  • i love hungry faces. i wish my fish did them more, but theyre small... maybe someday... maybe.

  • I bet yours will be making the faces at you someday very soon - goldfish looove food more than anything, so once they connect your appearance means food, they will beg like crazy. Make sure you're feeding them plenty to encourage good growth (but not so much that the water becomes toxic quickly of course). Some people think you're only supposed to feed them a tiny pinch once a day, which is kind of sad because it ends up stunting the growth of the fish.

Did you find me through GAB, by the way?

  • It's funny how the big black guy keeps swimming to the front and making "hungry faces". My goldies do the same thing when they see me in front of their tank. They're always expecting something.

  • They are, it's so cute, haha. They looove food more than anything, so once they learned that me=food, they love me to death! ;)

  • hey, im goin to get some soon. what size tank is that? =)

  • these guys are so happy! and pretty too!!!

  • Thanks so much :) I do my best to keep them happy and growing - they're already a good deal bigger than in this video, hehe.

  • i would love to see the happy clan again! if you have time, would you be able to post their new video? :-D

  • Sure thing, I'll post again this coming week. :)

  • Nice :)
