That ROM is almost a year old. I'd suggest something newer.  Do a Google search for "EnergyROM Genesis RAPH" and you'll find a very kickass ROM to flash.

Be 100% sure that your phone has HardSPL installed before flashing a custom ROM!

Very cool video and phone. I have the same phone, but it has the basic Sprint ROM, and it is very slow and unresponsive, especially when I text or scroll through pictures or play music. Where did you get this ROM at? was it free?

none, just the warranty. but you can revert it back to the stock ROM if you want consume the warranty.

Sometimes certain ROMs will have little bugs that make them not work right in certain places, but the people who create the ROMs are always fixing them up and refining them, if you go to xda developers and choose a ROM and read peoples posts bout that ROM you cant go wrong!

Ofcourse you have to follow the instructions when flashing a ROM or there could be trouble, but its nothing too hard to follow!

That's a great video. Thanks for the walkthrough, and showing how much faster the phone is. I heard though, that HTC recently released some post-launch firmware/ROM updates that have sped up the phone a bit from what it was when it came out, while on the stock HTC ROM. Can you confirm or deny this?

Also, do you void your warranty by uploading a custom ROM?

To answer your last question: yes, you can void the warranty for uploading custom content on the phone (To put it in perspective, this is just like "Jailbreaking" the iPhone). If you check out his link, many of the authors of these ROMs have files that can reset the phone back to it's out the box settings for warranty purposes.

yeah they definitely released updates. the ROM im running now is based on the latest stable update and custom tweaked to make it faster. and yes, it voids the warranty. you can revert back to stock settings like darkelow said. :)

yea I got that same message too. Then I soft reset my phone and now it wants a password to access the rom? This is why people like myself need that extra help on install programs and such. You should make a short video friend

i tried to DL the hardSPL onto my phone and went to install it off the phone and it comes up with a error message saying that their is a dependency missing? what you think?
