Well, when they can't even get the title right, something is very wrong. Also, when learning any language, even you own, you have to have something to say, which is clearly not the case here. The comedic elements come from the actors mimicking surprise at the off-voice (badly spoken as it is) which is the only thing that actually makes sense in this film. And the actors couldn't be understood anywhere in the world, as I said.
This film exposes a severe gap in US education where French is taught by people whose mother toungue it is NOT. It reminds me of Peggy Hill in "King of the Hill" who has the audacity to teach Spanish when she doesn't even understand the language.
This is what happens when people learn French while being totally cut off from examples and models of actual French culture. You could not be understood anywhere in the world where French is spoken. And the title should be: "Quand nous nous sommes ennuyées". The Gong prize goes to the librarian's "Mon Dooo, less lee-vray!" Close runner-up: "Say feh-nal!"
Les mots sont français mais votre intonation est anglaise et presque incompréhensible pour un francophone, sauf une personne comme moi qui vit entouré d'anglais. Il faut travailler votre accent tonique, écouter des chansons françaises et voir des films français.

after reading your comments in the english language your known as a fuckhead! :)

I could also teach you proper English. Your sentence would be better understood with a comma in the right place and without that dangling participle:
"After reading your comment, I have to say that in English you're what's known as a fuckhead."
Now, doesn't that convey your meaning better?
