  • You find brain damage comedic?

    About psychedelics and religious experiences:

    watch?v=WYY1PIRZF8g

  • +1 on all this. I tried shrooms on occasion & LSD once, and I found it very positive. I wouldn't try to base my understanding of reality on it, but the experience does somehow add perspective to how we see our place in the world. Being able to step outside of reality, outside of our normal thinking process and visit a different kind of consciousness is not something we can do any other way. Like seeing that photo of earth, and KNOWING the ground you stand on is not flat, in a whole new way.

  • hsve you ever read Be Here Now by Ram Dass?

  • Oh god my first time on mushrooms....lololol

  • I find it funny you felt the urge to use the 84 when introducing yourself.

  • Abrahamic religions are main components in the prohibition of drug use because the religions emphasize individuality and our separation from other species and the environment, while mushrooms re-establish the opposite. Feelings of universal community don't jive with state creation or other forms of forced assimilation and killing.

  • I recently wrote a whole paper on the bioethical implications of prohibiting psychedelic use, and I gotta say, this video makes me happy.

  • Isn't the problem with psychedelics that your judgment is impaired or you even lose awareness of what you're doing and do something dangerous like get into a car or make a baloney sandwich out of the five sausages at the end of your arms? Not that I've heard of people doing this (not in the case of mushrooms anyway) but how does one know that they aren't going to do something stupid?

  • @tempo3rd "how does one know that they aren't going to do something stupid?"

Make sure you're not a total idiot before taking a psychedelic.

  • Governmental approved Adderral made me feel psychologically unstable, not psychedelics!

  • check out Terrance McKenna.

  • cool. now if he sees this video, he'll know you think he's a good guy.

  • The psychedelic experience transcends the neurosis of language, I think that many a bad trip gets rolling as a result of getting caught in the twighlight zone, where things are very very wrong but you don't quite posess the faculties to figure out why. But you keep trying anyway.

  • As far as mushrooms and LSD, I'd say if you're in a good time in your life, have a sober friend over who can trip sit you and know how to take care of you for a day, can set aside some time without any last minute things to do which could give you a bad trip, and generally have a positive attitude toward what you're going to experience and accept that at times you may feel very scared but acknowledge that for what it is, a trip for you to experience, then it reduces of something going wrong.

  • Otherwise you'll end up like Charlie Sheen... AKA Estevez

  • Do you know Dimitri? Would you like to know Dimitri.

I am fairly experienced with psychedelics and when I met Dimitri, I was overwhelmed & comforted all at once. My first experience with Dimitri was so intense that it still sticks with me to this day. It was profound. This is coming from an atheist. Dimitri really brought me a "spiritual" experience. Sometimes I look around and for a brief moment everything looks as amazing and interesting as it did when I was shaking Dimitri's hand. Meet him.

  • Nice impressions. Not sure why you went with an old Jewish man as the stereotypical proponent of psychedelics, but it was hilarious. Agreed with most everything you said in the video as well. Thanks for sharing dude.

  • It got redundant because it was too long and my copy and paste function onnmy iPhone is hard to work with on a limited screen

  • I understand however that it's abstract and for lack of better words which we all have you had to use "spiritual". Enjoyed it just the same. later. I understand however that it's abstract and for lack of better words which we all have you had to use "spiritual". Also I also understand like you that people can or should be able to choose to do so as long as they violate no others.

  • Spirit in it's original and true meaning doesn't mean a state of mind or ghosts etc as mystics have us believe. It simply means "the wind" "air" or "oxygen" one is spiritual in that sense means absolutely nothing except that one is breathing perhaps. It's great to have a good experience but however I'm sure since the ending you realize it's a misuse of the mind and brain which can have bad effects later.

  • First I want to say I enjoy your videos and your are intelligent. I was thinking something and then you said it somewhat at the end about competition. I was thinking religion is a misuse of the mind. The mind is for identifying reality and doing so as accurately as possible for survival and to live well. Drugs are a misuse of the mind if it is mind altering or perception of reality altering drugs.

  • The barebones of it all is that it helps me appreciate every little thing around me so much more - other people, simple conversations, past memories, even a living organism such as a dog or a plant. When someone says they do shrooms or smoke pot it, shouldn't be frowned upon, yet it is since we have been socially conditioned to think so. It's a sad truth of which I think will never go out of style.

  • the sad part is one person has a bad experience,or see's someone who has one flips out and says that it is dangerous and must be kept away from. idiots ruin life for people who actually try to make something from it.

  • You should be a voice actor those were hilarious.

  • I can totally understand the points you are trying to get across. You're right. Words can't describe, but your words brought back those undescribable feelings for me. Good video.

  • And what of the self-transforming machine elves?

  • @niriop

Ah, the fractal elves - I've always seen them as sub-aspects of our consciousness, projected into our conscious mind as distinct entities during a trip.

  • @SolRosenberg84 Not to say what you see or experience is real, but extract your own DMT and do it. You may change your opinion. Or not.

  • @260SEANFU260 Also, I found LSD to be much more psychologically useful than mushies. Brain goes into overdrive and then reboots system.

  • so true

  • oneness.fullstop.

  • @omly85

    Hammer time?

  • Not to take away from Mr. Rosenbergs amazing video, which honestly, they all are amazing. But the reasonable person impression sounds like Mort from Family Guy... lol

  • If only we could take our minds there with out the shrooms.

  • hahaha great skit

  • You have to do a lot of ketamine to believe dumb creationist shit.

  • hillarious impressions :D

  • Haha! Great vid!

  • You realize that by putting a video about this on youtube, you are going to be harassed by flying monkeys for months (flying monkies be trolls who have done too much acid)

  • Comment removed

  • The only one I would try is possibly DMT.

Later in life though, not all that interested in the moment.

  • I've always wanted to try psychedelics but have always been afraid to because I have seizures. Seems like that wouldn't be a very good health choice on my part. But I do support any adults right to put whatever they want to in their own bodies.

  • Did you know that Leonardo Da'Vinci did opium?

  • 117 :D The video number

  • One word: Zombocom.

  • Jews shall be gathered in all their lands of promise-Atonement ransoms man from the fall-The bodies of the dead shall come forth from the grave, and their spirits from hell and from paradise-They shall be judged-Atonement saves from death, hell, the devil, and endless torment-The righteous to be saved in the kingdom of God-Penalties for sins set forth-The Holy One of Israel is the keeper of the gate. 2 Nephi: Ch.9 Summary, Book of Morman. God is a highly evolved alien who seeded life on Earth.

  • @RaptorWizard i just discovered that the mormon church is NOT the true church, but is in actuality a Satanic, Freemasonic cult! the TRUE church is the EASTERN ORTHODOX CHURCH!

  • كس أمك , متعب حالك و عامل فيديو ... ايش دخلك بالناس خليهم يومنون بالي هما عايزينه ... و الله مشكلة

  • @h3mmod1990 UH OH!

  • @h3mmod1990 i totally agree man! .......... :S

  • Ketamine is not a psychedelic, but yes I agree they are definitely not an every weekend thing. I personally find them to be amazing for stress relief, a good introspective experience once in a while really helps you sort shit out.

  • demons take control of peoples minds who go into these altered states of consciousness, but it can take you to those worlds that never were proven by what SCIENCE calls, 11-dimensional hyperspace. ascension is where its at, thats why jesus was ressurected. imagine what would happen if we utilized all 100% of our brain and DNA... MAGIC POWERS!!!!!

  • @RaptorWizard

    Wat.

  • @SolRosenberg84 It is a scientific fact that we only utilize 8-10% of the brain, and only 35-40% of the DNA. Imagine the possibilities available to us if we could utilize these to maximum potential. I think it would provide a window into the supernatural, however this could just be my schizotypal brain for those bent on reason over mysticism.

  • @SolRosenberg84 Jesus was at a superior level of evolution, and that is why we don't understand his ressurection. Even if he didn't have magic powers, he was a real person as the evidence would strongly indicate.

  • @RaptorWizard What evidence? There's no evidence for the existence of Jesus outside of some writings made many years after his supposed death. NOT ONE PERSON wrote down a single element of Jesus' existence when he was supposedly alive. Do you really believe someone who's supposed to be that influential would live their lives without leaving a trace? Not to mention that there's no archeological that Nazareth even existed 2000 years ago, it only dates back to about 200

  • @cincofone Parts of the Bible are like magic due to the high wisdom with which they were written, but other parts were obviously written by inferior minds since the Bible has been translated so many times. The words that actually are Jesus are filled with luminosity. The Book of Mormon is much better in purity, being translated only once. It is all original content. Also investigate the book, Temple At The Center Of Time, proving how god has merged major histroical events with sacred geometries.

  • @RaptorWizard I've read most of the bible, I don't see any parts that are magical - can you please give me some references as to what parts of the bible you consider to be like magic? None of Jesus' teaching were remotely new, earlier philosophers had already figured out that treating others as you would like to be treated is a good thing. There's nothing revolutionary about it.

  • @SolRosenberg84 check out RADIOLAB the podcast you'll love that shit. MINDGASM seriously

  • @RaptorWizard yeah....no magic powers. Once you understand how the brain work a bit more it starts to make a lot more sense and its way the fuck cooler. listen to a podcast; RadioLab. Now mind you, neurology is new but the emerging information will blow your fucking mind out of your face, on to your lap and soaking your legs in brain juice....... that's how insane it is. Magic is just an illusion to amaze one who is ignorant to the logical reasoning that is the truth. meckenicalrobot-dot-com

  • @RaptorWizard That's just stupid...

  • @RaptorWizard humans already use 100% of their brains, just not all at once. if your entire brain was active at once, the result would probably be a fatal seizure.

  • @RaptorWizard We use most of our brain already, actually. The brain is like a computer; if we were to use 100%, magic would not be a result.

  • @Kniletiah You must have gotten the bad brains then. My brain can produce magic.

  • @Proletariat12 HAHAHA, nice xD yeah we all got imaginations, forgot. ;3

  • my first time on shrooms i remember the room got really wide. the tv seemed really far away. do it in nature. the beach if possible

  • Sounds fun. and enlightening in an introspective way.. But I think I'll try weed first (not too common where I live) before I may or may not move on to some heavier stuff.

  • @TheShortStory Yes weed is also good for introspection. One of the most introspective experiences I've ever had not from a true psychedelic (some people regard weed as psychedelic) was with smoking a fair bit of weed while taking aniracetam, a nootropic that takes away most of the 'dumbed-down' feeling from weed, so you're still clear headed, but high.

  • You don't make the decisions ON the psychedelics, you take note of everything you experienced, and add it to your knowledge of what is.

  • LSD is the only drug I would ever want to try, but I am afraid it would lead to mental illness. I am also fascinated by psychedelic's relationship to religion. Drugs of any kind really when it relates to religion and superstition, such as witches. Apparently witches would rub this drug onto their wrist. Which would make them believe they could fly and stuff like that.

  • @jay666KJ

And there's also a big theory on the idea that witnesses ate bread that still had this seed on it and it made them hallucinate about witch's being outside. I am also really fascinated by the whole god helmet. I think someone who takes a mind altering drug, and then feels as though they're experiences somehow change or prove something to the universe is just retarded to be honest. Same thing with people who say "I was sleeping and I experienced" blank. Retarded.

  • @jay666KJ That's belladonna it's poisonous, yea they rubbed it on broomsticks and ran around a fire with it in between their legs, they were "flying high" lol

  • I think you should do mushrooms a few more times and meditate, face your darkness, and find some light :D Then you might start accepting an idea of God, as all that is, not a man in the sky, but that which you are a tiny spark of. This feeling you had on mushrooms IS God(In a certain way, everything is God).

  • @TheRiffShaman

Pantheism seems really appealing on mushrooms - however, I still wouldn't call what I felt "god". I have no reason to believe the universe is conscious, it just seems to be.

  • @SolRosenberg84 It's not Pantheism, it's Oneness...BIG difference. Energy=everything, energy is conscious, Consciousness is EVERYthing, you've heard of quantum physics right? It's way deeper than that, it's actually unexplainable for us humans right now, but we're getting pretty close lol.

  • @TheRiffShaman everything is everything....... its so beautiful. a fleeting self renewing beauty.

  • @MouseHusic HAHAHA,sounds like a blast! :D

  • correcting solrosenberg84, solrosenberg84 you're just a degenerate atheist who spreads mis information about god and the gospels. psychedelics are tools of satin and used by atheist to spread the false hood of evolution and all the lies about it. The thing we need is to get back to Christ and all of the scientists who invent science were Christians <-- Eye2EyeIIIV response to this video summed up in text

  • @begalthegreat Give me a break...

  • @begalthegreat gotta be a troll

  • @Adleist yeah he is, I hate it when he sends me his videos

  • @begalthegreat

From everything I've heard about him, he is either an incredibly committed troll, or a genuine crazy person.

  • @begalthegreat was talking about you actually

  • @begalthegreat Hahahaha, God made cannabis, magic mushrooms, ergot, DMT (which is created in our brains AND is how we see reality and dream) and you think they're tools of Satan!!?? WOWOWOW!!

  • @TheRiffShaman I'm an atheist I was just parodying this guy /user/Eye2EyeIIIV

  • I've had quite a few positive experiences with fungi as well as a few negative ones. I found the mushroom helped me see past the veil of false images and destructive ideas all around us. Next trip is going to be in silent darkness...should be interesting.

  • I really love my conciousness the way it is. If people want to use psychedelics that's fine with me, but it certainly isn't an experience I ever plan on having.

  • I disagree with the mental disorders and psychedelics except maybe schizophrenia. as long s you realize that the reason why you feel depresion or what ever is because of a certain mental state, a psychedelic experience propably will do now harm.

  • @TuplaPekka

I have heard of DMT helping severe chronic depression - but only one or two examples. Have there been any studies on this?

  • @SolRosenberg84 The two places you need to look for stuff on this are MAPS and EROWID. Both are slightly prodrug for my taste by maintain good scholarly standards. Google them.

  • @SolRosenberg84 I got ths from the most unreliable source possible, personal experience. both with mental disorders and psychedelics.

  • Thank you. Very well said, my man. BTW what's wrong with cognitive dissidence? I happen to find it a state which prevents me from zealous defense of many topics. And also BTW you seem to be the sort of fella who might enjoy a book titled Antipodes Of The Mind by Benny Shanon.

  • psychedelics are awesome. I wouldnt allow this friend's roommate to form a stereotype of users. many people have used many of these drugs and aren't immediately random-word-repeating oddities. the type of thinking you engage in on different drugs are so much more abstract, or relational or metaphorical than when sober. Taking psychedelics is older, or atleast more widespread than human society. Other animals also seek foods/etc that alter their consciousness. source needed, but i read recently

  • only thing I can put to words about mushrooms is that after its done it takes several hours for your brain to get used to not function as it did under the influence of the shrooms.

  • Why is Richard Nixon in this video?

  • The notion of 'artificial' feeling is absurd. To induce a mental state through drugs is not more artificial than causing pain by cutting yourself. While I would agree that tripping may not be the best time to form ideas of the world, the new perspectives it offer does help many many people come to terms with the more unpleasant side of life for long periods of time afterwards. Mushrooms shed your preconceptions of the world and let you look at it with new eyes. I'm not saying that it's for ever

  • Agreed in every respect! Moreover that was insanely funny.

  • 4:18 Why is the psychedelic user a northeastern US jew?

  • OH, you are going to catch some shit on this video. But you're right. *shrug*

  • 4:20 sounds like a jew, not a psychedelic user.

  • I have no history of schizophrenia or any other mental illnesses in my family and I don't feel depressed at all. I am somewhat apathetic towards the human condition, but personally I'm somewhat of an optimist. In short, I have kind of a George Carlin view on life at the moment. Are there any other factors I should take into account if I'm to try psychedelics? Or other kinds of drugs for that matter.

  • yeah i agree with a lot of this. I didn't know there was a study were people found it to be a beneficial experience. I remember thinking this the day after i took shrooms once. I felt emotionally lighter.

  • SolRosenBerg can you address the risk (if any) of using psychedelics?

  • Been waiting for this video form a while.

Psychedelics are an incredible tool for the mind.

  • amen!

  • psychedelics malfunction the computer. fun too do though. Definitely not for everyone especially people who like to be in control.

  • Great Talk. When you started my mind was a bit closed to the topic, but by the end I felt a bit differently about the topic. Keep making videos. Great job.

  • I can't remember who said this( it might have been the amazing atheist): drugs primarily affect your mental state, to not allow the consumption of drugs is to deny people the most basic human right of all, freedom of mind

  • lol

    I always love your videos.

  • I really enjoyed your little impro piece :))

What would happen if all humans on earth would take mushrooms simultaneously?

  • SolRosenberg84, you're definitely one of my favorite YouTubers. If I knew you in person, I would love to do some psychedelics with you and go lick a wall or something. :)

  • Very insightful vid into a world too often either demonized or over inflated.

  • Dude... wtf. Drugs simply make you feel "artificial" feelings. Some people prety much born with abilitity to "feel universe". Others by religion/spiritual stuff, and some by taking drugs. It isn't' anything else than just a feeling that our brain makes. However I can't deny that it might be prety awesome feeling, but personally I wouldn't recoment drugs for anyone... well expect for old people who have nothing to lose anyway.

  • 3:43 epicness. simply epicness.

  • too many negatives. Too much cost to care for someone that takes it too far. You going to feed them and change their diaper?

  • I was thinking about Bill Hicks the whole time I was watching this vid, awesome video had me laughing more then once. Now I just wonder how long it'll take eye2eye to do his review (if you wanna call them that) of this video. lol

  • great stuff as usual, bro!
