Wow they couldn't have picked any worse angles to show as replays...what was wrong with the angle they showed live? I don't get NASCAR broadcasting sometimes. They did the same thing with Allmendinger's flip
Another awesomely incorrect statement by Ken Squire. When the two drivers in RED firesuits are standing beside Chad Little's BLACK car, he says "OH THERES CHAD LITTLE DOING TERRIFIC". Really Ken. Why would Chad Little be looking into an empty car? Cmon dude.
I only started watching racing in end of 01. But I see all these Nascar Classics on T.V. and these brand of drivers if there is a big crash like this you don't see them as much as you did then I guess to see if everyone is OK.
According to Racing-Reference. info /comments?id=1994-12&s=B
Chad Little broke his collarbone in a massive crash on lap 46. Other drivers involved in the wreck were Sterling Marlin, Randy LaJoie, Morgan Shepherd, Tracy Leslie, Derrike Cope, Dale Jarrett, Bobby Labonte, and Dave Rezendes.
The announcer says "There's Chad Little out, and he's ok but he's angry and frustrated", and you see him limping around. Unless he was walking on a broken leg (possible with the adreneline in his system), he didn't break his leg.
Or the announcer didn't know what he was talking about. Again, possible.
The announcer was wrong. At 2:37 the camera is following the Kodak driver walking away from the wreck. He walks past Chad Little's car where Chad is half out with his head lying on the roof and several safety crew members beside him.
that was Chad in the Purple, Red and Yellow Harris Teeter Ford T-Bird. Ken Squier said he was in the red and white uniform but that was Chuck Bown, driver of the #63 checking on Chad who was injured.
Fail at :30, you can see Leslie climb out and walk right into the 33 car

According to Racing Reference Chad Little broke his collarbone, not his leg.

Didn't Chad Little break his leg?
rodan70 3 years ago
Since Chad is standing and walking at :52, I doubt his leg is broken.

i dont think that was chad, i think he was still in the car, and yes his leg was broken.

Who owned the 33 that Bobby Labonte drove? I vaguely remember him driving this Cintas car once or twice in 94.
Orangetree547 3 years ago
I think Bobby's father Bob Labonte owned the #33 car he drove in '94.
