@ajra94 noo dont but a 2jz in it you might as well slap in an LS1....just pop in an SR20DE or SR20DET engine replacing the KA24E or KA24DE. THEN you will have a car that most people would respect. its a perfect fit for the car and i dont think you would need a new gear box.

@KTMdude07 The guy in the video is using DSMlink depending on if you have a EPROM ecu will make the price vary. you can normally pick up an older version for around 400 bucks for everything the program, ecu and adapter. you can do all sorts of shit with dsmlink including the stuter box like you heard in the video.
You don't have launch control. You have what is know by import tuners as an anti-lag, or by the muscle car guys as a chatter box, or stutter box, or by the technical folk as a 2-step. "Lunch control" is an electronic system that the GTR uses, when in reality it's described by the Nissan engineers as "mud/snow escape". Meaning it, like the 4HI in Wranglers, is not made to be used on dry pavement, hence the trans issues.
@mrmeanr Nissan didn't patent launch control. There is no ™ after it. It just happens to use their version of it to work with their transmission. Anti-lag is not a 2-step. This is all.

My factory set-up on the T-25 launched harder than that without launch control. LOL. I could lift the front end up and chirp the front tires on street radials. I got a vid of way back when on the same set-up. Go look.

@BAE51C 5500 rpm is the launch RPM limiter, only used when the car is stopped to help with launching. This car is AWD, as in all 4 wheels drive the car, did you forget? These don't chirp gears when you shift quickly, not unless you have some shitty suspension causing extreme weight transfer. And yes, these engines if tuned properly can handle 25 psi, sometimes more. Not on pump 91 octane though, need at least 93 octane or meth injection, race gas or E85 ethanol.
@BAE51C It's pretty hard on it, but considering I've launched my car literally hundreds and hundreds of times, I've broken 2 trannies, and only when I started pushing over 400 hp. I've now had the same stock transmission in the car for about 2 years now, I think I've learned how to keep from breaking them! Still launch it all the time. Check out my other video for a way better launch, car is making about twice the HP as it is in the video above..

i like to drive, tune, and service my 86 z-28 with a 383 stroker, turbo 350, and 9 inch ford. or my 95 sohc neon with standard bore forged pistons and rods., built head, megasquirt, and 75 shot. camaros fastest time is 10.89 in the quarter. and the neons is 13.10. both are fun to me. i simply dislike eclipses. with the exception of a early 90s eclipse or talon. still, even then not enough to make me wanna own one. im saying in short that MOST of the ones on youtube are slow and ricerish.

@BAE51C 5500 rpm is the launch RPM limiter, only used when the car is stopped to help with launching. This car is AWD, as in all 4 wheels drive the car, did you forget? These don't chirp gears when you shift quickly, not unless you have some shitty suspension causing extreme weight transfer. And yes, these engines if tuned properly can handle 25 psi, sometimes more. Not on pump 91 octane though, need at least 93 octane or meth injection, race gas or E85 ethanol.

@BAE51C It's pretty hard on it, but considering I've launched my car literally hundreds and hundreds of times, I've broken 2 trannies, and only when I started pushing over 400 hp. I've now had the same stock transmission in the car for about 2 years now, I think I've learned how to keep from breaking them! Still launch it all the time. Check out my other video for a way better launch, car is making about twice the HP as it is in the video above..

@natedawg08313 Well if your pushing 450 at at least 15psi you just need to up the gear box plus launch at a suitable RPM.. Pending on the car it's all practice.

@BAE51C you=fail... As stated the 5500 is the launch control rpm not redline. Why is it so hard to believe that this guy is spinning all four tires? I have seen 14b cars spin all fours. I am aware that a gt28 isn't that big of a turbo but it is more than enough to spin 4 tires especially on street tires with launch control....

@DSMeclipsegst yes so sorry i dont know about cars..... i guess you know how to build engines from leftover scraps... i was just asking the question... and yes alot of ppl can claim 700hp at the wheels... and have dyno printouts.... but my cars been on a dyno reading 350rwhp and then on another it read 300rwhp... depends on ramp speeds and so forth... also most imports i know start lifting heads at over 25psi, so i gotta ask the question.

LOL it didn't spin the tires at all. This car is FAR away from just spinning all 4 tires. My friend with an 800hp WRX spins the tires. This guy is FAR shy of that mark.

phuckmer I know of people that have Eclipse's that run 8's in the quarter. You must not know much about these cars lol. Also if you know nothing about these I wouldnt suggest getting one, they are quality cars if you know how to drive, tune, and service them.

i like to drive, tune, and service my 86 z-28 with a 383 stroker, turbo 350, and 9 inch ford. or my 95 sohc neon with standard bore forged pistons and rods., built head, megasquirt, and 75 shot. camaros fastest time is 10.89 in the quarter. and the neons is 13.10. both are fun to me. i simply dislike eclipses. with the exception of a early 90s eclipse or talon. still, even then not enough to make me wanna own one. im saying in short that MOST of the ones on youtube are slow and ricerish.
