  • 20 years after, I am clear why I like girls who have on em only smth one and very stretch ... thanks to "aliens" from this video ... super sexy!

  • This is my favourite version of this song, but it is not the original. It was first recorded by Gloria Jones, in the mid 60s.

  • he's so hot ...................

  • Reminds me of Alan Partridge

  • but this in not the original is form the 1960's but this version i like best!

  • @Vegassteph meee too!:)

  • Easily my favourite version of this song

  • @wranglers575 there were other versions of this song?

no if im serious-there were, but not once worth mentioning.

  • is it just me or is Marc Almond Pee Wee Herman and Boy George's love child?

  • viadinhus...

  • This is the original!

  • @adrianmamaliga no it isn't

  • Very Gay.

  • @lagunaflyguy

What was your first clue ?

  • @lagunaflyguy no dip sherlock. lol

  • 1:47 There was somthing glued to his ass >_>

  • I like how this guys like cuming over some stars......

  • best version of the song

  • HOW THE HELL IS THAT MAN IN THE VIDEO, HIS NAME DONT FIGURES ON THE INTERNET, SOMEBODY KNOW HIS NAME????

  • Wasn't the original Soft Cell video depicting his boyfriend dying of AIDs?

  • The boy is a hunk!!

  • @zacthecatty35 agreed! the guy in bed is a hunk not the singer

  • i like the video and song

  • I'm sure someone has mentioned it but there are two soft cell videos for this song. This is the better one, and the original one that soft cell did before they shot a second more "commercial" version. Gloria Jones is the genesis of bother versions. (covering my ass)

  • MOla mil esta canción!!! =)

  • N!!!CE

  • NOT THE ORIGINAL!!! Gloria Jones 1964 BIG NORTHERN SOUL SOUND check it out!!!!!

  • Where is the Supreme's song that is at the end?

  • Buaah la canción estaa muy bien eeh?

  • THAT'S WAS STUDIO 54 EN N,Y 80's PEOPLE DANCING LIKE CRAZIES; GOOD YEARS!!!!!

  • This is Soft Cell's SECOND version of Tainted Love! The original video is from 1981 or 1982, and it has Marc Almond AND Dave Ball in it. This is the RERECORDED 1991 version of the song with a new video, and it doesn't have Dave Ball in it because Soft Cell wasn't together at the time. I like the '81 video more because it has Dave Ball in it!

  • Thumbs up if you get raped by invisibles too!

  • What's up with the nitpicking? I am old enough to remember the '64 version, Soft Cell's recording used, tracks from '64. For some reason this video omitts them. It is Soft Cell's orginal version, of a great song!!!

  • but stiil good

  • 1964 the origanal im afraid

  • The young guys HOT, but probably not anymore.

  • Super strange vid

  • I think he smoked something XD

  • who is this pretty actor of the movie? He has a nice face.......

  • "Tainted Love" is a song composed by Ed Cobb, formerly of The Four Preps, which was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1965. It attained worldwide fame after being covered by Soft Cell in 1981, reaching number one in the UK Singles Chart,[1] and has since been covered by numerous groups and artists

  • Fuck Marilyn Mansons version its terrible...THIS IS THE SHIT :D

  • This guy in stars looks like Sheldon from TBBT ;)

  • @Xantolezius TBBT as The Big Bang Theory????

  • @samuelsnumber1gleek

Yep. I know that similarity may seem faint, but everytime I see this guy in stars, I see Sheldon and his "Bazinga!" ;-)

  • @Xantolezius At first I though the same thing but then I went like, in what mind? but then I saw your coment !!!

  • Gay song?

  • @ussrwrestling não sei se é gay, só sei que a musica é muito boa......

  • does anyone know the name of the guy in the video?

    he is super cute.

  • 1:28 thats soooooooooo cute

  • well at least this one doesnt have a 10 year old girl

  • Marc Almond was so good looking.

  • sweet video...

  • So better than '81 video with ancient romans and little girls. Weird dude!

  • @RetroStacja

I liked the Caligula version more

  • Can't stop bogeying to this song!

  • ooops. 1964

  • lol

  • yeap, it is the original....cool.!!!

  • Awesome track. hats off to that guy who uploaded the original song. Also agree with the guy who said that the marilyn manson thing is "FUCKING".

  • i love this song

  • doctor who brought me here

  • Well.... this is the original Soft Cell video and yes, it is a cover. But honestly, what would the 80'ties be without this song and without these guys? Half the fun... bless them both, they were brilliant!!!!!!

  • This is not the original.

  • "A video was recorded specially for Soft Cell's video album 'Non Stop Exotic Video' and features band members Marc Almond and David Ball in togas on Mount Olympus."

"Soft Cell issued a remixed version of the song in 1991. Another video was made for this release. It features a man pacing at night, dancing with starry apparitions, while Almond sings amongst the stars."

Wooops, video description is a blatant lie.

  • video title fail. this is not the original.

  • this is not the original.

  • @Stainbreak ya you know it origenal is a women singing

  • @Stainbreak its the original video for this version but its not the original version ..

  • @Stainbreak Indeed, it's the video to the 1991 re-recorded version. For some reason, the musical channels on tv always seem to play this version instead of the original 1981 single

  • Sorry not the original Gloria Jones done the original in 1965

  • @sabreiow This is the original video, not original song....

  • @sabreiow Original as done by Marc Almond maybe?

  • @sabreiow it was accutaly made in 1964

  • @sabreiow

    EXACT

  • @sabreiow 1964 you dumpass

  • Thanks for posting the original video. It's the bomb!

  • it aint the original dont comment on how it is because it aint

  • one of the classics from the 80s, was a great decade to be a teenager in

  • Everybody has done this song including the Eurythmics....

  • Sorry fo being a dick... I really love this tune.. but thee original it ain't.. Gloria Jones performed it originally. I prefer this version though.

Sorry, but your repetition of the word original kind of bugged me.

  • There are two videos for this song...does anyone know why? is it just because? not complaining though, this songs the greatest :)

  • much better !

  • so nice :)

  • This is way better

  • My fridge does that to :/

  • TAINTED LOVE IS AMAZING AND I'M 11 YEARS OLD

  • @SuperZeldaBros64 Would you like a cookieZ? Nobody cares how old you are. In fact it makes it all the more wrong considering the meaning of the song.

  • @captaindaring Well i said i was 11 years old because i would imagine not alot of 11 year olds would listen to this

  • イギリス、ニュー・ウェーヴ、ソフト・セル・・・・60年代ソウルカバー”汚れなき愛~~~~80年代UKソウル乱発の報い

  • c etait genial ! bravo soft cell ! we love you ! quel souvenir !

  • This is a great song, and i think its LOADS better than the original, but in the description apparently: Dont comment on how it isnt the original version becuase it is. Your comments will be replied to then deleted! :| So, this IS the original version eh? Hmmmmm.............

  • I remember this video.

  • Love dancing to this song.. :)

  • chabi

  • Sure it's been said before: Gloria Jones did the original. This isn't the version of Tainted Love that Soft Cell had Number 1 with. It's the later recording. Different people like different versions. You're not sitting in my living room so whichever version you like best is your call.

  • Marilyn Mansons version if fucking horrible THIS IS THE SHIT!!!! :D

  • @maka2k11 are you fucking serious Marilyn Manson made this song fair enough this is the original but its hard to make a song better then the original but he did

  • @maka2k Manson's version really is shit

  • wow das waren zeiten....damals

  • What a very sexy young boy !!!

  • q merda.. prefiro milhões de vezes essa musica com o Manson

  • Yes, Soft Cell's original but they covered it so it's still their cover. Like if I repainted Van Gogh's Starry Night.

  • From Wikipedia: "Tainted Love" is a song composed by Ed Cobb, formerly of The Four Preps, which was originally recorded by Gloria Jones in 1965. It attained worldwide fame after being covered by Soft Cell in 1981, reaching number one in the UK Singles Chart,[1] and has since been covered by numerous other groups and artists. It was the B-side to the 1965 single "My Bad Boy's Comin' Home",[2] which was a commercial flop, failing to chart in either the US or the UK.

  • this is not the original version, unless Marc made it in his nappies before Gloria did the original

  • @tonymaye how stupid can u get? it is SOFT CELLS original version. They did two this is the original one BY SOFT CELL its obviously not the original of the song in general

  • pas mal mais non pas celle que je préfère

  • This is the final version.

  • i think that kills, no slaughters the original 1964 version, but thats just me, i think the evolution of popular music (or culture in general) ended sometimes in the 1960s, really cant stand that 80s plastic pop sound.

  • @snorrevonflake then get the fuck off of the video

  • This is a very good song or so many people would not have recorded it. I have listened to many versions and I like every one of them from the Pussycat Dolls to Manson. This is my favorite.

  • @Foodfighter2 It's the first recording of Soft Cell's version of the song, but Gloria Jones did this song in 1964 which is the original, the year after President Kennedy was shot. Soft Cell switched the lyrics to make it come from a man's point of view.

  • jajaja, esta es la verdadera versión

    This is the real version...

  • Crap not original.

  • i love the boy in the video he is cute and sexy so hot!!!!!!!!!

  • @071419644153 i second that but i wonder what he looks like now?

  • I like this one best!

  • Who's the young sexy guy ?

  • Le stamos agradecidos.pero acabó convirtiendose en una especie de losa.

Se hizo más famosa que nosotros.

    David Ball.2008

  • marc almond does a great edition of this song,,, not to mention the fit bloke in the white t-shirt ! ! ! i dont care if hes queer Im still having a look ;o) LOL

  • sorry mate but this video really isent the original as a "tecky" the video quality is from the 1990's not the 1960's =/

  • @MrSmithy280 its the original video version from Soft Cell which is what he meant, not the original version of the song over all

  • Thaks for introducing me dad <3!

  • "Dont comment on how it isnt the original version becuase it is"

    How thick are you?

  • @Twangabilly how thick are you to not notice that he's meaning its the original version of the video by Soft Cell, not that its the original version of the song in general

  • @brakoify Good sir, I find your comment rather difficult to masturbate to.

  • @Twangabilly and think of your grandmother.. NOW!

  • Love it!!

  • IMHO this is the best version! :)

  • its a long stretch from the original ro the manson version!!! i like the manson song better!!!!

  • Sorry, but this really isn't the original version (video or recording). This was the 1991 version with a new video and new vocals by Marc Almond.

  • Marilyn Manson wouldn't have been mentioned here if it wasn't for this song. "Great" artists now-a-days have no originality.

  • This video has really stood the test of time. Thanks for posting.

  • Forgot: anyway it's a cover version. Original is from the mid 60ies sung by Gloria Jones.

  • Hallo, I disagree. This is the second Tainted Love video which was published by Marc Almond only. There is an earlier version published by the formation Softcell (which consisted of Marc Almond and Dave Ball. In the 80ies homosexuality was not suitable for mass markets on the continent. So Marc Almond made a second video on his own and published it under his singer name only again. So your video is not only the second version but not by Softcell also. It's from Marc Almond only.

  • Marilyn mansons is better

  • MARILYN MANSON!!!!! <3

  • Coil is better.

  • alahlah ls années 80 ^^ <3

  • You guys keep commenting about it being a gay video or asking about it....if you didn't notice, the "star people" have tits..... That's right, they're females. Pay attention before you ask useless questions xD

  • Im not trying to be mean or anything, but im seriously curious... are the people in the video gay?

  • This is definitely the best version

  • Gagging people because they don't agree with you doesn't make you right.

Gloria Jones recorded the original version of Tainted Love.

The Soft Cell version was a cover - Ask them - They'll admit it.

it's ok to be wrong, but your arrogance and stubbornness does you no favours.

  • @JackBandicootsBunker Imelda May's version is the best.

  • @JackBandicootsBunker i don't agree dude ;)
