i love skullcandy it was my first headphone above 70 dollars, i got the GI's i am very careful with all my things like my ipod no back scratches and my other gadgets, but this are very poor type of plastics, breaks soo easily, i dont even wear them,now they sit at my cabinet, and i am using beats studio's and pro's but still gonna buy skullcandies for style :)

@matraister i have a pair of lowriders and theres no bass to them and after you break em in they just fall off your head easy. if you dont do sports they are ok i guess but i skate and i hate wearing them. im buying some hesh. my cousin has a pair and they have really good sound and decent bass. they dont fall off your head either

I have had 2 and a Skullcandy GI, 2 out of the 3 the earcup extender have broken.

Skullcandy are notorious for their a little lacking craftsmanship.

But on the plus side, Skullcandy has an amazing lifetime warranty.

If they ever break physically (like stated above) you get half of what the headphone is worth as credit

If they malfunction (maybe the extender broke, but the wirings also messed up.... this worked one time when I sent them in) you get 100% value as credit

I hate when people say skullcandy chooses style over sound quality. thats bullshit. I have skullcandy hesh and a pair of monster beats. Monster Beats sound SLIGHTLY better, but thats it. I think the hesh has excellent sound quality.

In a store I compared a Skullcandy Studio that's about 140 Euro's to my Audio Technica FC700 that's around 50 Euro's and Skullcandy's quallity just sucks that hard that it's fucking worser than mine...

I don't know where all you get the opinion that Skullcandy sounds "decent" they just suck

ok the hesh can be cuz they are very cheap(my Sennheiser 25 Euro's sounds better than all of them) , but the lowriders and ones with higer prices should do better job in mids and highs.

i bought some skullcandy hesh's in January, and after two months one side of the headphones were not working.

I then returned them and replaced them for another pair, which within 3 months, one side snapped totally off when i stretched them around my head.

not worth the price looking back

you should listen to high bass music on low for 5-7 hours then mid volume another 7 hours and then high volume for 8 hours. then let them rest overnight . this will properly break in the coils.

Check out the AKG K240S headphones. They're expensive compared to skull candy, (but anything is) but compared to any other headphones, or studio monitors, they're kind of God....

They last forever pretty much, they fit around your whole! ear, and they are extremely comfortable... They also have a removable, replacable cable, so WHEN the cable breaks (always goes first) you can get a new one...

@Doncreationsur Skullcandy also do an In-Ear but I have first hand knowledge that they're not that good and sound quality is poor. I'd reccomend the Sennhesier CX 300's Mark II over Skullcandy's Ink'd any day.

you should test the product yourself and then mention pros and cons. more details would help.

@seomoz Hmmm, well at the price I paid (£17.99) there's nothing ti could really compete against since they were all consumer/low -level headphones.

I have tested them myself and am sure that I mentioned it but anyway if you didn't understand, I think that the build is quite poor as expected from the price and the fact that they arn't Skullcandy's flagship headphones, but the sound quality isn't too bad for someone who someone that doesn't really listen for much detail.

@PackersFan4335 I havn't got the skullcandy skullcrushers but I've read some reviews and I think since they are over double the price they would be quite a bit better than the hesh. Not only that but the skullcrushers have better noise cancellation and they are more comfertable. If budget isn't an issue, I'd take them over the hesh.
