I don't know the value now days but some 15 years ago you could have paid close to $1,800 dollars, in my case over all I paid close to $700.00 most of these units have had for some 15 years.
I have one of those amplifiers they sound realy good and are built realy well with dual mono construction 3 power transformers and 4 large 10,000uf smoothing caps. I belive they are quite rare they were pioneers top of the line elite amplifier from 1985, i belive they were only produced for about a year so are hard to come by. I think i will have to sell my 88x soon as i have recently mooved house, it will be a shame to see it go but i need to downsize because i just dont have the room :(
It seems a shame to waste these on elevator music. Put on some AC/DC man!

I'd love a set like this. It's rare to find good quality speakers now, most that are available are low quality, mass produced ones.
