  • I love beef jerky. Can you post a recipe for regular teriyaki beef jerky??

    Thanks,

    Gwendolyn

  • to get a really good marinated meet. Use a vacum sealer and do it in a mason jar. Got some getting ready to put on my dehydrator today.

  • @moonpie859 Good idea. I usually put the meat in a ziplock heavy duty bag with my seasonings and soy sauce and get all the air out of the bag and leave it marinade in the fridge for 24 hours. Really picks up the flavor.

  • I did some fresh cat! it turned out awesome. The aroma of fresh skinned cat with a little soy sauce and tuna juice! Grilled cat is awesome too. Cat is so usefull

  • Nice hat

  • I just bought an Oster, the booklet says 4-8 hours..why did you do it for 16?

  • as a dehydrator freak myself ,, EXCELLENT POST MixCat ,,I often make soups and stews with my own dehydrated veggys and spice them up with the Jerky ,,,yummy as a rehydrated food too !! meats will still keep that spicy snap !

  • its always a good idea to rinse the meat right out of its packaging. butcher shops are dirty.

  • Thanks Pete!

10 bucks for under 50 grams of beef at a kiosk, yea well

  • @usfscaptain14 How cool! You will love it.. I tell you what, banana chips are very addictive ;o)

    Hope you enjoy it.

    All the best,

    -Pete

  • so you don't have to cook the meat first? like you just put it raw on the dehydrator?

  • @RaulBillieJean You got it.. It slow cooks for 16 hours.

  • Hi Mixcat. Would you not be worried about any nasty things on the meat that cooking would kill off?

  • @divitoman Nope, I dont worry about it.. It cooks for hours killing anything off that might be there.. Its much better then buying jerky in the store.

    All the best,

    -Pete
