I dont know about the rest of you,but I remember watchin game 2 when once again the knicks could've taken home court advantage thinkin to myself "Why the fuck would he pass off rather than go up for a layup/dunk and try and get a foul or an and 1?" @uncthebest2005 Melo is one of the best individual players, but he's not able to make his teammates better like a lot of stars with rings can do. That type of play can maybe win you one game,but it's not going to win championships. Coach is losing respect (he actually declined bringing in Thibodeau suggested by Steve Kerr in phx, and guess who immediately won a ring and announced today as NBA coach of the year?) Players like Melo will turn on him quickly, just like Amar'e did the first time.

@uncthebest2005 I'll admit Donnie has done an incredible job digging the Knicks out of the huge hole they dug themselves in over the past decade, but no I wouldn't want these two particular super stars. Amar'e is an incredible athlete but is still dumb as rocks and injury prone (he tweaked his back missing games in the playoffs because he attempted an acrobatic dunk during pre-game warm ups). Micro fracture knee surgery, back injuries, retina injuries....

if you watch his highlights, you'll notice he almost always draws a charge on defense. and then if you watch all the times he got "crossed", it DOES look like he's just trying to draw a charge. the man sacrifices his body on defense. sacrifice which is NEVER shown on the post-game stats. besides, we already have enough talented offensive players.

Choked out the Knicks Superstar? Probably would be doing them a favor taking Melo off the floor. Knicks have terrible management. Why would anyone want two and a half superstars and a bunch of scrubs on a team? Denver got an incredible deal and the NYK front office once again makes terrible decisions that will affect them for several years.

if you really think he is worthless then you know nothing. He isn't great on offense but he plays D. Something our superstars don't even do. Fields/Tuiaf/Jeffries/Douglas our our only decent defenders. Carter can play some D but Coach pringles doesn't give him minutes.
