  • A Qwerty keyboard makes no sense for a d-pad interface. Qwerty is optimized for finger positions, so it's arguably *slower* to get to more frequently used letters, such as A or S, if you were to use a qwerty setup with a d-pad.

  • CPU :

The Kindle 4 is built for the iMX50 (800MHz ARM Cortex A8) platform.

    The Kindle 3 is iMX35 (532MHz ARM).

  • GET A 720p CAMERA

    PLEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSE!!!!!!

  • the guy on the left needs to clip his nails

  • Can you change your Kindle's name? Like from... Let's say, Bob's Kindle to Joe's Kindle?

  • "It pretty well has the same kind of d-pad almost" 2:34 haha good review

  • keyboard scmeboard I don't need to use it on the Gen 4 . I go to my office PC, look up Amazon, look up the book I want click on Kindle edition, click on the button to the right an BAM! My book is in my gubby mitts instantly, now how cool is that???!!!

I'm tellin ya this Kindle is the best thing since sliced bread and titanium drivers.

  • It barely was spending that much of battery because of turning the pages does a little but barely wasting any part of the battery just leaving it there the only thing u charge the kindles is turning the pages

  • I didn't realise that there were two people handing the kindles in the videos, so when a third hand popped up i did freak out for a few seconds!

  • I think the Kindle 3 has more memory storage.

  • I personally like the screen backing on the earlier models. I don't know, but negative looking things like that look cool to me, and you probably won't get a seizure from the blacking of the screen every minute or so.

  • go to the "Amazon Kindle Keyboard 3G w/Free WiFi & E Ink Display: Unboxing and Review" video to get an honest and knowledgeable review of the Kindle Keyboard 3G

  • i wish they could just make an update so the Kindle Keyboard could get updated to Kindle 4.0 (not physically though)

  • how do you type with the 4th generation????

  • @lsartam There is a virtual keyboard that you use the DPAD to navigate and click on buttons. Its a bit clunky.

  • My kindle is smooth so I like it. If I want something more ill use my phone, mne can read books to me id I'm multitasking so kindle3 is better. Why waste so much money on a kindle android/tablet when I can use m phone ,or even better a laptoo :O

  • Your review sucks! Your pont are not solid, ur just throwing crap out there. Take notes and write down ur ideas and maybe you can study about what is in the tech inside to sound much more professional ^_^

  • Omg when it turn pages it turns black for less than a srcond :O, wow just suck it up! Can you build your own e reader from scratch? Nope so just suck it up an enjoy

  • "Razor thin" wow -.- I think its still crapy, I like my kindle 3 cuz its basic. I have a laptop and android phone so rather than carrying lots of books I got the kindle.

  • Guy on the left nice coke nail frickin gross man only thing you see is hands and your gross ass nail crack head

  • I'm planning to buy Kindle keyboard. Can you tell me if I can register my device to Amazon using a USB cable or do I have to use a wifi connection?

  • think its very foolish to compare the $79 kindle to the kindle keyboard the $79 kindle is a entry level kindle for someone who isnt to concern about audio etc. its for someone who is interested in reading books and isnt going to do much typing. if u want to compare the kindle keyboard a better comparison would be the kindle touch

  • HOW MANY HANDS DO YOU HAVE YOU MUTANT FREAK OF NATURE

  • @kevlarRelic Check out the Mortal Combat Fighter Goro! I am a more tech savvy version of him

  • Do you guys have anything to say with regard to Tom's Hardware’s take on the screen resolution: "Turning on our microscope, text on the fourth-generation Kindle appears more dithered around the borders. Meanwhile, text on the Kindle Keyboard is slightly sharper, and the black is a little darker (focus on the "y" and "o" in the pictures)."?

  • @deadpanwalking Haven't noticed anything! It looks solid

  • @goodereader Me neither! After having both the keyboard version and the new one for about a week, I am leaning heavily towards keeping the newer K4 due to the form factor. It did take some getting used to for me however due to the much firmer page turn buttons. I also don't need the keyboard.

  • @deadpanwalking My Kindle 3 and 4 look exactly the way the pictures on Tom's Hardware look, my K4 screen looks grayish compared to K3. And it seems many have the same issue... It is really disappointing that Amazon mixes a bad batch into good ones and pretends they are all the same.
