I really want one of these lol. But I was wondering - how does the Semi-Automatic gearbox work - do have to go through all the gears manually with the pedal? Does it have a clutch - I heard somewhere that it doesn't :S ? And are the left and right levers the front and back break?
Hiya moobottle... there is a clutch but it's fully automatic in operation. The pedal (left foot like normal motorbike) goes up the gears sequentially with the toe (0-1-2-3) and back down with the heel (3-2-1-0) As soon as you press the pedal in either direction it disconnects the clutch before it actually shifts the gears.- after shifting when you let go of the pedal it re-engages the clutch.
There's also a centrifugal clutch incorporated, which takes care of setting off from a standstill. It's all pretty easy! No clutch skills needed!!
These's only a right side handlebar lever, which is the front brake, as per normal motorbike practice. The rear brake is on a right side pedal, again as per normal bike.
