yeah the dialogue in the comics are almost exactly the same as the script in the film

You should definitely read the rest. What a lot of people are unaware of is that the director of the movie made the ending of the movie BEFORE the last comic book was published. So, the ending of the movie is COMPLETELY different and makes the characters completely different, which makes me not actually like them as much.

I definitely recommend reading the rest of them. I've read them all and seen the movie and I loved them both but the books have a slightly different feeling to them.

I liked the both, but I preferred the books, because I think Ramona is a more 3 dimensional character, especially when you find out more about her in the other books =] I saw the film before I read the books, and I still enjoyed reading them, even though I knew some of the stuff already =]

I bought the full set of graphic novels a little bit before the film came out, and they are unbelievably good - there's a lot of stuff they couldn't fit into the film.

there is much more in the novels than in the movie, which condensed a lot of stuff and removed some subplot, if you ever read all the novels then you can really compare the diffrences

I've actually read the 6 graphic vovels just before the movie came out, and it's true that Edgar Wright's adaption is really close to the original content, which is fantastic. But I have to say, the first volume was the one the film adaptation was the most faithful to. You should definitely read the others, as you still have some surprises, even though you've seen the film. :)

The books are so much better than the movie (exept for the ending, in my opinion). There's a lot of different stuff going on in the books that I was really dissapointed about when it wasn't in the film. So yeah, read the rest :)

Oh, the movie was still awesome by the way. Don't agree with you on action always being better in movies though. Music, yes, action, not always.

I actually haven't seen the move yet! I was waiting to read the graphic novels and I just finished them a few weeks ago. I absolutely loved them all. You'll really enjoy the series.

Love both. There are some additional story lines in the graphic novels that aren't involved in the film and seeing all of the stories with Ramona's ex's. I would say, read them. I haven't been able to read the last two, but I think the end if different than the film.

I wanted to read it after seeing the Scott Pilgrim trailor, but I couldn't get past not being into the drawing style. Then, after seeing the movie, I absolutely loved the drawing style. I'm not exactly sure what changed for me, haha.

The rest of the books were REALLY good and most definitely worth reading.I actually fakes sick one day just so I could finish reading the series. The first book is probably my least favorite out of all of them, but they are all really wonderful :)

I have the boxed set of Scott Pilgrim... the books just get better and better, In the later books many things are different then the movie.

@shadownerd13 The last book is almost COMPLETELY different from the ending in the movie. And even in the second book, there's the whole backstory with Scott's days at high school, none of which was in the movie. So yeah, it's definitely worth checking out the whole series, rather than just the first book.

I read all of them and watched the movie. The movie only covers the first three volumes so I say start from the third book and continue onwards. It's a really good series even if you dont get all of the video game references.

I love Scott Pilgrim! The movie was great too and actually succeeded in making changes that make sense. I do advise you to read all of them.

There is a lot more story in the other novels. The movie stays close to the first one (really close) but moves away because of necessity. Also, the movie was filmed before the last one was published, so the endings are different. SUPER FUN. And really easy, quick reads too.

I own them all, the story follows a pleasant pace, focussing on the evil-exes, but also reveals more and more of the characters themselves, and the art style notably improves with each volume.

Note; the movie twisted and changed a lot of the original story, so the novels provide a much more complete and sense-making picture of Scott's story.

The story gets more interesting as you read on, quite a lot of which isn't covered by the film. You might as well read the rest as they don't take long at all. I'd recommend.
