the only real fully complete necromancer accounts are ones that have:

the staff of worms

necromancers amulet (through glitch)

risen flesh spell (shivering isles subquest)

and the king of worms robes or necromancer robes :p

if you want the amulet the only way to keep it is to obtain it than do sanguines quest but make sure u keep it on through the entire quest after it is done you will be able to keep its powers just not the amulet

If you have installed the Shivering Isles expansion and obtained the Risen Flesh power, you can return to Fort Ontus immediately after handing the amulet in and finishing the quest. It is possible to obtain multiple copies of the Necromancer's Amulet if you reanimate Caranya's corpse then kill her again. Credit: USEP net

@TheBeastlyStudmuffin Or if your on a console, you can use the Staff of Corruption glitch to get two amulets, turning the duplicate in before picking up the second one. Then rushing back to the original corpse before it disappears.

You don't wanna turn it in? Well, if your a PC Oblivion player, bring up the console and type: coc testinghall

It should take you to a place with ALL THE ITEMS IN THE GAME! But, be careful what you pick up. If they're quest items, you can NEVER put 'em out your inventory. You can wear them, though :D It's got all the Clothes, Armor, Keys, Weapons, Creatures etc etc... :3

When I killed her, I did the glitch with the Emperor's body; reanimating and then cloning. I did this and got 4 Necromancer's Amulets but for some odd reason I cannot return to Traven and turn it in help?

yeah that happens what you need to do is dont reanimate her after you get the original amulet.

take it back to the arch mage and the quest will complete. Then go back to fort ontus reanimate and kill carayna, you will have new amulet and you can carry on the mages guild quests.

As with many things in Oblivion. You can use a glitch to keep the Necromancers Amulet.

Surprisingly, it is not a quest item and it does have weight. It also looks very cool when equipped, but obviously it saps your strength and boosts magic.

Sadly I have this on PS3 and my game was struck with the very rare animation bug in which any object animated (doors,flames,display cases,etc) will not activate. This basically destroyed my "perfect" save and there is no fix for the PS3/Xbox360 ver.

This bug was not fixed with any patch for the consoles.

You can pick up another copy of the amulet from Caranya if you can complete the entire mages guild quest-line before her body disappears (very easy).

All you have to do is just reanimate her (using the Staff of Worms you acquire from Mannimarco) and kill her again. It will be on her corpse and it will not be marked as a quest item.

It's a glitch. If you have a PC there is a code to fix that, but if you have a console like xbox there is nothing you can do.

make sure you dont have the game on the hard difficulty i did that in the beginning and i was wondering why this game is so hard. i check and i had it on the very difficult. sometimes i put it on to glitch and level up faster and i never change it back to easy

I kill them in one hit with a spell i made myself. The effects are:

Drain health 100 pts 1 sec

Weakness against fire 100% 5 secs

Fire damage 45 pts 1 sec

On touch

If it doesn't kill it in one hit just use it again

You can make this at level 50+ destruction

Well... i was dissapointed in the necromancer amulet, in morrowind you got to keep the god dammned thing. In the first or second game, i'm sure Mannimarco kicked you're ass if you werent careful...but in oblivion... i killed him with my fists...and no armor...wtf.

well you talk to somebody in the guild, they generally lead to the person that welcomes you to the guild.

Go to any mages guild hall in every city but imperial(it has the arcane university but you can't join there yet), speak to the leader of that guild, they'll make you an associate then you a recommendation from each guild hall to gain access to the arcane university, allowing you to advance further in the ranks.

people you can have the necromancers amulet if you first kill her and then complete the rest of the mage guild quests and get the reinimate staff or go to shivering isles and get the reanimet spell there... well you go back to the fort and reanimet her and then you kill her again. she will drop the amulet and if you reanimet her one more time she will drop it again... im not sure if yuo have to hurry back there because her body maybe will vanish

shame you have to actually talk to her when your in the dungeon , i had a perfect spot hidden in the second floor overlooking where she was , and used a sneak bow attack but she goes unconscious instead of dying just so you had to talk to her ,
