Absolutely love Dr. Paul. I wasn't aware of his decision to drastically cut the presidential salary but it's not a surprise. I've always thought the president should be limited to either no pay or the median wage of the nation. Governors could get paid the median of their state and mayors the median of their city. I'd like that same limit on all federally elected individuals, and possibly an eventual cap of twice the median for all federal employees, with a 5% raise every year until that cap.

Never did make sense to me to spend a trillion on foreign wars, rebuilding and training muslim armies in modern warfare. At that time I was frustrated over the border and when a Ron Paul supporter pointed out that if you were out chasing a murderer you wouldn't leave your front door open (the border) with the rest of your family vulnerable, I realized our foreign policy was a sham.
Budget cutters NEED TO USE THIS talking point: Money velocity. People don't understand how when the government takes out 1 trillion in loans, those are loans that DON'T go to business/consumers. Also, the money government spends travels more slowly. If private sector spent that 1 trillion thanks to new loans instead of the government, the average money velocity is 7 to 8 times. Government velocity is maybe 2 or 3 times. So it's possible that cutting a trillion could lead to 3 trillion in boom.
Don't judge Ron Paul supporters based on a few bad apples. The majority are some of the most well spoken and intelligent debaters on the internet and otherwise.

All those who are for government social programs need to understand that those programs are funded by taxes. These taxes are collected under threat of force. What libertarians are working towards is a society based on voluntary exchange and not forced confiscation and redistribution of wealth.

Absolutely love Dr. Paul. I wasn't aware of his decision to drastically cut the presidential salary but it's not a surprise. I've always thought the president should be limited to either no pay or the median wage of the nation. Governors could get paid the median of their state and mayors the median of their city. I'd like that same limit on all federally elected individuals, and possibly an eventual cap of twice the median for all federal employees, with a 5% raise every year until that cap.

What we seem not to understand, is that we have Ballooned the Federal Employment pools to the huge size the are now, and in order to cut spending we have to shrink... we have to make some tough choices! I am sure the people who lose their jobs would be able to find a new job. If Ron is as competent as he appears to be, then I am sure he would do his best to get them jobs again.

I think Dr. Paul is the only candidate that gives specific, concrete answers rather than speaking in platitudes. Saying that "we should have a serious national debate" about an issue (like I heard Romney say) or that they would seriously evaluate something is a cop out. Ron Paul preformed a slam dunk at the Oct. 18th debate.
All the candidates had two days to review his one trillion dollar spending cut.
By the end of the night, they were all agreeing that it was a good plan.
They were all talking about his topics and none of them could dispute him.

Perry and Romney saw it as a matter of PAYING NV ENOUGH MONEY and only Ron Paul said IT WAS A CONSTITUTIONAL STATES RIGHT ISSUE! To me, it showed how those 3 politicians' minds work.

Never did make sense to me to spend a trillion on foreign wars, rebuilding and training muslim armies in modern warfare. At that time I was frustrated over the border and when a Ron Paul supporter pointed out that if you were out chasing a murderer you wouldn't leave your front door open (the border) with the rest of your family vulnerable, I realized our foreign policy was a sham.

Budget cutters NEED TO USE THIS talking point: Money velocity. People don't understand how when the government takes out 1 trillion in loans, those are loans that DON'T go to business/consumers. Also, the money government spends travels more slowly. If private sector spent that 1 trillion thanks to new loans instead of the government, the average money velocity is 7 to 8 times. Government velocity is maybe 2 or 3 times. So it's possible that cutting a trillion could lead to 3 trillion in boom.
