well i did it myself... but i dont reccomend doing that... i had to lighten it twice and had to wait 2 weeks in between each lightening (if u dont ur hair can break off) then had to use various toners and color adjusters and its just alot of hassle, in the end i started going to a hairstylist to do my roots cause i honestly think its worth it to fork over the extra cash to have sumone else do it and have it be the right color from the start.

if you get it done at a stylist and only get the new growth touched up its not so bad, especially if you have a nice hydrating shampoo and conditioner. but yes it does do some damage to ur hair... theres products to counteract it like kpax reconstructor by joico and the cure by biosilk, but in the end its best to try and do as little damage to your hair as possible.

nope, sure isnt. actually i normally lighten my hait my self with feria extra bleach blond but since i did it about 3 days prior to the incident i thought it best to have a professional strip it out since i didnt want any fallen hair on my hands lol, it was pretty much at that level tho, they only had to leave the bleach coctail in for about 2 secpnds, had i known previously i probly would have dun it myself but hey, live and learn
This one time, i got red dye and put it all over my hair because i didnt think it was effect much and i had a hair of elasticy red hair for almost a week. it was hilarious.
