I have this phone and it rocks! Though, eventually I installed a skin for the software(TealOS), because of the graphics being horrible. Buts it's still decent phone. But I would rather have the Palm Pre or the soon to come Palm Pre 2 for Sprint hopefully

My experience - I have been using Palm OS PDA's for GTD-ing for about a year now. I've used all kinds of Palm's from Tungstens to Zire's to the old V's, finally settling on a fabulous Treo 755p for the glorious combination of P-OS and a phone.

But I tried the Centro because everything was a tad bit smaller and it was lighter. I hate it now. The buttons are fail easily. I missed the Treo's tactile and super responsive buttons. Built for heavy use, the Treo's much better. Eff the Centro.

I traded in this phone for a Pre and I have to say this phone does many things better than Pre. Copy/Paste anywhere, Bluetooth worked accurately, and memos could be organized. Of course the Pre's main feaures are superior, but it failed at the little things I loved about the Centro.

the palm centro would be my choice because you must purchase a 30 dollar data package in order to use the blackberry pearl; without it your phone will not work... with the centro you have a choice of internet or not with the same capabilities as the pearl, plus the centro has a touchscreen which is a very nice feature...

The centro is, in theory a brilliant device. It would be made masses better if palm did 3 things.

1) ditch blazer, and developed a better web browser. One which works a bit more like the browser on the iPhone (sorry to mention it)

2) Add java so those of us who hate blazer can use opera mini withouth the fuckin thing crashing all the time

3) Add wifi - its been around for years. Why dont we have it?

Its a moot point anyway. Mine popped after 6 months and no longer works :(

and for 3) i OMG TOTALLY feel you, but you've got to understand that the palm devices of today only run on two radio frequencies( the phone frequency, and the bluetooth frequency), thats why those palm devices without phone frequencies have wifi frequencie. its actually very hard to add another frequency(wifi) into a phone such as the palm that already has two existing frequencies, but i suppose thats where windows mobile comes in, right? lol

I had the 650(palm), 750(windows mobile 5.0)and this is coming in the mail within a couple of days. Can't wait to lose the windows, and go bck to palm os. My old beat up 650takes way better video and pics way better than the 750. It also syns easier with xp. Go figure. The phone worked way better with palm.

for sprint you have to have a data plan to qualify for rebates and whatnot. plus if you go with a simply everything plan it will be a lot cheaper than having minutes, and texts and web on any other plan.

if you have the internet plan, you can download an application called "kinoma" player.

theres a free version that keeps up with your mp3, lets you access youtube, etc.

on the free version the youtube part only gives you 10 feed backs, if you want more, you have to buy the full version
