Break of Day and Give In were played as background music at my work and I was captivated everytime I heard her voice. I don't see why others haven't been affected likewise. I'm glad to have "discovered" Tina Dico though it took some digging.
Tina Dickow er helt fantastisk!! en anden der også er det er Amalie skriver! hendes musik er lidt i samme stil og mindst lige så skønt, så hvis i elsker Tina Dickow så søg på Amalie Skriver!!
I am addicted to this song!! It has wonderful lyrics and the structure of it beautiful! I am seeing Tina in Brighton this Sat 26th Feb and can't wait!!!!
this version is so different from the live version... so very intense... i can feel everything from what she sings! Beyond words... it's in images I see
Why isn't Tina Dico a HUGE star in the USA? They have TV shows that crown amazingly average singers as "Idols," but this girl remains largely unknown. She fills her songs with just the right amount of emotion, thought and dreams. I could listen to her voice for hours. So sweet, and yet "worldly" for lack of a better term.
@sandyshorts007 "They have TV shows that crown amazingly average singers as "Idols," but this girl remains largely unknown". Sadly this is true. The problem with Americans is that they are too shortsighted and look inwards, not open to foreign talent or care to accept that other people from other lands can create great works of art. It's also true most Americans have bad taste in musicl...LOL...and I live in America...but I'm open minded and listen to out of music from UK/Europe.
@sandyshorts007 it is unfortunate, isnt it? i am from the states. i travel from MN to IL to see her play at a little bar in Chicago. I have gone for the last 3 years. She was amazing all 3 times. I am one of the lucky fans :)
@sandyshorts007 I actually like it that she is fairly unknown... It adds to her appeal. Besides you feel like you are sharing in a special secret by knowing her.
A simple mind set free But I'm a little too tired, baby It's a little too late To bring it up In the weary dark of night Between black and white Is a thousand shades of gray I'm not giving up but I need a little light Oh -- save it for the break of day You've been a little bit worried lately Been a little too scared to make me Take a stand a chance to maybe Land this kamikaze romance safely I'm just a little too tired, baby
Lying back to back at 10 to 1 You're awake, like me Trying to conceive that done is done You made a mistake, I see But I'm a little too tired, baby It's a little too late To bring it up In the weary dark of night Between black and white Is a thousand shades of gray I'm not giving up but I need a little light Oh -- save it for the break of day Monday's paper scattered on the floor Lost in time, like me Nothing that I haven't heard before
Break of Day and Give In were played as background music at my work and I was captivated everytime I heard her voice. I don't see why others haven't been affected likewise. I'm glad to have "discovered" Tina Dico though it took some digging.

@YensiTeasu
Oh jeez really? So all the USA now hates Denmark?
She's not famous in the USA because the USA is a HUGE country with a population of 310 million people.
I'm American, and I love Tina... But I had to do research and look up good music and that's how I stumbled across her...

i really LIKE this version.
it was a surprise because i just listened the acoustic one. this is just as good, maybe better.
acoustic versions have their bright, but nothing compared to more instruments and complexity to find a harmonic setup.
GREAT !

SÅ god sang. Men det er alle hendes sange! (really good song. All her songs are amazing. Im proud to be danish with tina as a known singer.)

All of her songs are amazing... but this, old as it may be, is definitely one of her best.

I really love this song, and i actually didn't know about her or knew that she was danish, before someone told about her.

This is the first song I ever heard from Tina Dico on KCRW! The studio recording is great but the KCRW version was straight RAW! : )

It's a little too late
To bring it up
In the weary dark of night
Between black and white
Is a thousand shades of gray
I'm not giving up but I need a little light
Oh -- save it for the break of day
