Billy Jack Haynes. There was a wrestler that was misused by both the NWA and the WWF/WWE. At least the independent scene at that time took notice of Billy Jack's talent. I knew that bastard Vince McMahon would use him as a midcard grappler than a main event one.

What was Portland Wrestling and what channel did it air on?

As the name says, it was professional wrestling in the Pacific Northwest of the U.S., officially named Portland Wrestling. It was on KPTV 12 on Saturday nights (was it from 11pm to 12:30am or 11:30pm to 1am?).

from 79-91 is was on tape delay from 11 pm till 1230 am on sat nights. before that it was live until the infamous killer brooks buddy rose bloodbath. then kptv bumped it to 11 on tape delay.

besides kptv 12 there was a syndicated hour version of it broadcast in various parts of the usa and canada called "big time wrestling" as every sat night portland did a 2 1/2 hour house show the first 1 1/2 was portland wrestling the last hour was taped for Big Time Wrestling.

I love the color commentary by Scotty The Body aka Raven. Equalizer would go on to WCW as David Sullivan, brother of Kevin and Bryan Adams would go on to WWF as the 3rd member of Demolition as Crush and would later go to WCW as Bryan Adams of the NWO and then Chronic with Brian Clark.

Typically speaking, I agree with you in theory. But in this particular circumstance, I think it was booked so that the "attack" from Oliver was just the straw that broke the camel's back. Whether that's what actually happened or not (even the announcer told Billy Jack immediately that it wasn't Oliver) was irrelevant. Those moments where he thought he had been turned on by Oliver had already awoken the monster sorta speak. There was no going back.
