    Tell me, I couldn't see quite well, how did you persuade a GS engine to fit? It doesn't seem to stick out as it usually does...

  • to be compleatly honest i dont know lol, i bought it fitted, told it was a amisuper engine, but it has had the rear gearbox mountings pushed back.

  • You can do it in two ways, with the GS gearbox or preserving 2cv's one. First, to get room you must remove the standard cooling plates. Second is gearbox. The better solution is keep GS gearbox, with mounts on worm gear drive (gearbox is actually partly IN the chase). That means also you have a GS front breaks. I had 1.3 GSX 95hp version with 2 carbs in less than 500kg Dyane, and that was a piece of job :) Unfortunately, the bad thing is that piston rods havent never last more than few months :(
