GT500 makes more power out of the box and will probably be valuable more valuable in the future for resale. Saleen has more suspension tuning but it's all bolt on stuff that can be done to the GT500 cheaply. The GT500 can also be tweaked to make way more power.
navyman you are wrong.All Saleens supercharged or not are s281-3valve
If the car is supercharged it will be a s281sc

you don't have a S281 you have a saleen 281 you don't have a supercharger with those numbers.

Have to call you out on that comment ...
The current (05+) models are all named S281.
The ones that are S/C are called S281 Supercharged
Then there is one that is improved over that called S281 Extreme.

I wasn't too impressed with the #'s myself. My stock 06 GT laid down a similar dyno run...
For about $10,000 less!
