  • The song: 落 ("luo" or "la")

    singer:常静 ("ChangJing")

    beautiful song!

  • All you need is a gun!

  • @AnandaCoconut Ignorance

  • FIRST SONG???

  • When is this on Netflix???

  • can I find this song somewere?

  • so soothing to the soul, relaxing as it shows,Tai chi is an art as they move very slow. so tranquil as they display, like an Eagle in the sky, they move with power and grace oh my.. bending and twisting over a cloudy, cloudy gray sky, this method is so awesome and that's no lie, it's like watching Bruce Lee, martial arts training getting ready to make someone cry, every gym in America should practice this, and you ask me why? It's tiger blood WINNING Tai chi chuan in China rules bye bye!!

  • @Dan4USCTroy as relaxing as this art looks, its actually very demanding physically to remain relaxed as a practitioner looks to find that point of balance.

  • what is the name of that meditation song in the beginning !!! someone please tell me !!

  • Tai chi chuan is good for exercise but if you want to cultivate qi and master it, you need to first gather abundant levels of qi. So dao yin and meditation is more important.

  • where can i get this movie ?

  • I still dont get how they fight?

  • @Luverbuy51 Faster, much faster

  • @Luverbuy51 Watch The Tai Chi Master with Jet Li. Or compare it to "pa kua" kung fu. watch?v=n8agvbyMDkU

It, too, is an internal style. It is the style of the "good" Jet Li in The One. He also does it in Martial Arts of Shaolin.

Jet Li is trained in Chen style (I believe) tai chi and "pa kua".

  • Amazing!

  • Things everyone knows about tai chi: 1) slow and smooth 2) for health, not fighting 3) genial old chinese buffers practicing in the street...etc

Thing few people know about Tai chi: _DON'T_ put your arm in there!

  • No, i am not ignorant. I think 'you can't handle the truth!!' Let get serious. What do you call a doctor who is last in his class...a doctor. So Just because you learn martial art in Wudang mountain etc... If you don't have the talent you would still get your ass kicked by any experience street figther. These guy has been practice forms and that is just that a form. They have not been tested out in the real fight yet. Enough said.

  • @4homemail Learning form is indeed martial arts. Taiji is martial arts in slow form, whereas Wushu is same in fast form. You can not be fast and effective until you have perfected the forms. What is experienced street fighting, but those who have applied the perfected forms in actual combat? An undisciplined street fighter without knowledge of forms has no purpose, and any hesitancy is surely a recipe for defeat.

  • the skinny little fck wouldnt last 1 round with Cung Le.

  • @4homemail what are you ignorant?

  • Liquid guy.. LOL. i like your comment. I am a martial art master myself, All i have to do is slow down my form and variation and i can create my own tai chi with newtons law of motion. action and reaction. I respect Wudang Mount. But Americans do not need to go to China to learn all these martial art, They are all here in America. Martial art should be Liberal, i believe Some Americans give the eastern people way too many credit. FYI. I'm Asian.

  • @NitenRyu559 You are correct. All that is taught in Wudang China is taught in USA. Takes time, takes commitment, maybe even a long distant commute, but it can all be learned in USA.

  • LOUSY

  • what is the name of the song? its really nice, calm and soothing.

  • I wish this is the only place that won't change like them using a technology hope it will stay as the old fashion way

  • @kadendiran i agree id love to travel to china and japen but id only like the traditional side of the counties

  • @mikleman996: Europeans pride themselves in ushering in the Industrial Revolution. Yet what did the Ind. Revolution achieved? More complexity in life, pollution, at the tail end of the Rev. was Marxist/Communist movement.

  • @danpt2000 Longer life spans, innovations in medicine and the understanding of the human body and the world around us, the proliferation of knowledge, the understanding of human rights.

  • Great movie!

  • this is cool !

  • Before learning more we must first drink what is already in our cup. If we do not the tea will over flow. An who knows who will be burned by the hot liquid. Empty your cup my friends enjoy the sweet flavor. An don't be afraid to ask for more. Peace and Wisdom be to you all.

  • FUCK!!!!!! Nobody knows the name of the song beginning? thx..

  • How Tai Chi is practiced and how it is applied are two different animals.

Slow in practice but quick in application. There some Tai Chi styles which are also practiced quickly.

  • ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯ ☯

  • Secretes mysterious these are good marketing. This is the way of chinese gorventment capitalising martial arts. They facinate forigners by implying some mysterious energy or secrets to the skills which is based on physics. After the revolution these mystical martial arts and religous practices was not allowed but imposing cmmunism on them untill the last decade which they started to capitalise martial arts by implying some mystical secrets by the government to allow the people make a living

  • @deva930 You my friend, know your applied physics. For instance drawing energy from the ground. This occurs when you sink you stance and lock your joints in a series of movements call linking energy. The first time I applied this principle, I was amazed by amount of energy used to up route an opponent. The arm of an opponent can be used a s fulcrum to borrow energy from him and turn it back on him. Another amazing technique.

  • thank you for your work in this very good to know !

  • Jon had deep access for this one. Hats off to him as an outstanding documentary film maker.

  • nice video...thank you for sharing

  • I like the tai chi style and wushu kung fu. however I practice taekwondo wtf and itf in past by 7 years. it's more usefull in the real fights than any chinese martial art..

so this is a movie. I must to watch this movie..

  • even everyone of the world all practise kungfu , kungfu only belong to very tiny part of elite :-) in ancient china people called these kungfu master THE STARS COME FROM THE SKY , kungfu is honor , not a lie , stop fanny you can get kungfu easily , lol

  • 50 years ago one master said kungfu could not been spread widely , or it would generate a lot of fake and wrongs . so we can see there are huge numbers of win chun practisers , but how many of them can match bruce lee why so many years past only one bruce lee ? think with your brain brother

  • @TAOTAO3730 How many people can win Nobel Prize ? How much chance do you have to win a Nobel Prize ? Do you think KungFu is a toy ? or do you think kungfu is just a tool that you get you can use ? In ancient China how many people dared to call himself a MASTER ? Kungfu need a lot of knowledge , need peace , need talent , only the elite can get the real kungfu inside their body. Kungfu is science , a very complex system , like a computer , lack one part it would not work .

  • @kungfughost well said

  • if the chinese kung fu was great martial art.........why Jegins Khan conquest entire north empires of china in the year 1211 ??Mongols didnt khows kung fu,they were perfect archers and horse raiders only!!!!But chinese in these years ,knew already kung fu-wu shu-tai chi etc.and they were specialists at it!So as a martial art kung fu,where was its contribution against the barbarians mongols who didnt know kung fu?May be kung fu isnt for real fights?anyone can answer???

  • So it seems like China own kungfu , but in face only a very very tiny part of people own real kungfu . And at the same time , these powerful kungfu master they do not wanna join the politics . They thought the politics were full of greedy , they prefer peace , they are anchorets .

  • @TAOTAO3730 Kung Fu/Martial Arts to me, from personal point of view, has been a tool for strengthening body, mind, spirit, bringing peace and well-being, as many other things are, and if need be to defend myself. Alot of martial arts were born from desperation in a violent world, from a need to defend ones self, home, family, group of people. Comparing Genghis Khan (who conquered ost of the known world to him) to China and its Kung Fu practitioners, is silly

  • Be water my friend!

  • @liquidus2172

Actually many of you should be gas, and fade into thin air.

  • @liquidus2172 Yes Bruce..Always...xoxoxoxoxoxoxo...love him!!! :)

  • Who want to learn Mandarin with me online?

  • @lilylessons nice,,,,sis happy new year 2011...

  • 1:55 LOL, the music is from a PC game, Seven Kingdoms 2

  • 1;22 THAT GUYS IN KARATE KID :D

  • its not most mysterious but most natural

  • Tai chi to me is not a style or even a system it is a path of true self realization. It feels like i need not to worry about my opponents movements or even what is going to do to me but how am i going to convey my heart to this angry and rather unbalanced being who seeks oneness but can seem to find it. Its a gorgeous martial art.

  • don't kind yourself, look around you we live in a generation that cares only of profit&money.it is a great shame this world of greatness has been brought down to this.i have faith though,me and others are hard at work to begin the process in reverse, time is against us for the amount of damage these tyrannts are creating every single day! we will prevail,we must for our race&our earth's sake,we must not fail!!!

  • It's all about application exercises, you can practice a form for 10 years straight, but still get your butt kicked. If you don't understand what the moves do, and how to use them. You're done.

  • Luv Tai Chi. It soothes n calms me down. thanx 4 sharin

  • Thank god! the Chinese finally dress the ancient Chinese costume to practise Taichi.

They no longer dress the Manchurian costume.

  • still nobody knows the song's name?:((((

  • NICE

  • @psiqwayi1 these ppl learn fcking long for something like this not for you so you can say its bullshit. this is fighting let me see how u protect yourself against 1 of them without any gun ^^

  • I so want to learn Tai Chi

  • A 'new' way to fight?..

  • is this available on itunes?

  • Who want to learn Chinese with me?

  • i´ve heard that Tai Chi also has to do with movement of energy, is this true?

  • @fe4rlesss it is the transfer of energy to the ground.

  • is not for fight..is for healllllllth!!!

  • @MrDanieltang it is for fight, and health,

  • @MrDanieltang there is ying tai chi for combat and yang tai chi for health

  • @MrDanieltang tai chi practitioners usually use chin-na techniques in combat

  • This is the place in the new karate kid movie?

  • @Js5s141 yes the wudang mountains

  • What is the song at the beginning? it's beautiful

  • What are the songs names? please

  • I accept mrmolestah's challenge .

  • There are some writers of Tai chi books that state Tai Chi was created by the Chen Family from Chen Village in China. But Dan Doherty master of WuDang Tai Chi places little stock in the story. His oppinion is that the Chen family wanted to cash in on the Tai Chi craze back in the mid late 1800's so they manufactured the fake history. He also likes to refer to Chen style as "Hard style shoalin with some Tai Chi principles peppered into it."

  • In Shaolin, at rank 1st black belt, you learn Tai Chi. there are 64 different movements, very slow.

  • @KakashiOfSharingan1 you dont have belts in shaolin kung fu or tai chi

  • it sucks for me.. around me theres only karate and thats all..i went there and about 4 people are teaching .. they dont know what to do.. its stupid..i want to learn like kung fu or tai chi or something like that..

  • mkay this could be interesting maybe ill chek taht out but better explanation wont be too much

  • does anyone knows the title of the movie plz?

  • lol, what a buncha crap. Have them go over to Thailand (again) and see how useless this is in the face of a combat martial art .

  • @Osirisrules you truly are a fool. My former instructor was trained in Muay Thai Boran and was beaten by a beginner in kung fu. You have no idea what Tai Chi(an internal kung fu) is. Talk shit when you can beat a master, otherwise be silent you silly fan boy. Lord knows you dont study real martial arts because if you did you have some actual respect.

  • i love these strikes lol the open palm and wrist strikes are devastating lol they can stop hearts break ribs bruise lungs....dont under estimate :)

  • After years of research and study of historical documents by Taiji (Tai Chi) practitioners and scholars, it is now believed that most of the major styles of Taijiquan currently practiced (e.g., Chen, Yang, Wu as in Wu Yuxiang, Wu as in Wu Jianquan, Sun) were all derived, directly or indirectly, from Chen Family Taijiquan. Their origins can be traced back to a small village located in Henan, China, with the name Chenjiagou... Can't believe people still try to make money off Wudang Mountain story

  • @laojiataiji Chenjiagou的字是什么?太谢谢你,大哥。

  • @laojiataiji what's the difference between the different styles of Taiji??

aren't they all Taiji at the end of the day?

  • @airsoftwannabe618 Different moves, but the same philosophy. Every martial art has its own philosophy. Tai-chi chuan (Tai-chi fist/Boundless Fist) has a very complex philosophy to it, but all those different families practice different moves from each other but preach similar values.

Kinda like the history of different countries, they are all completely different and unique, but at the end of the day; it's still history

  • @laojiataiji oh i guess any movie documentary about a martial art style is just a directors way of saying " I WANT YO MONEY"

  • Comment removed

  • they stole the secrets frm tha Shaolin!! I challenge any Wu Dang followers!!!

  • Shaolin is good, but Wudang is the best!

  • His name Chen Xiaowang one of the well known Tai Chi Masters

  • It's too bad that they don't move faster than bullets.

  • strong and hard...push and pull...ying and yang...heaven and earth.

  • hence.. it is mental masturbation.

  • I like this idea, Taiji is gaining alot of exposure. Id like to see something more martial, the way taiji used to be done, like the WTBA version of old yang style, search for Paul Brecher, he has a video of the 3rd third of the original form....Nothing like any taiji seen here or by the current Yang family

  • as long as you worry about your money, dont even think about getting this kind of mental rest.

  • Unlike Shaolin Monks that follow the philosophy of Buddhism, Wudang Monks follow Taoism a philosophy that turned into a religion. People who become Wudang monks believe they can become immortal gods.

  • One last thing; I do not believe Shang Sangfeng was a pot bellied man.

The reason I feel that way is because he spent the remainder of his life living as a hermit in the northernmost mountains of China, where life extremely harsh. To survive alone in the mountains a man would need prodigious physical strength; a lot of body work. Just living out there would be a "work out." That is why the majority of native americans were muscular in days past.

  • And for those who keep discussing about the effectiveness of different martial arts, keep in mind that no martial art is absolute, everything you learn is meant to be forgotten so that it can just be, that is the essence of martial arts.

  • you're wrong; some styles are indeed more effective than others. Looking at the human body from a Physics and Geometry point of view, not to mention how the human senses of balance and vision work, especially concerned with the human fields of vision and hearing, there are only so many effective mathematical variables as to how they apply to the human body by which another human body can damage, or protect itself from it, with the fastest possible speed.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 Impressive, however I believe martial arts is not linear, I understand your not saying it is tho, what I mean is, martial arts is something one becomes, there is no style stronger than other, as in it is not absolute until you are, it all depends on the individual. In fact Im very sure you already mentioned that at the end of your sentence. lol

Id like to research this Sun style, the more one learns from other styles, the more you learn about yourself, this was a very

  • How mathematics applies to the human body, and how the human body's atributes (reflexes, thinking, conditioning, etc) interact with gravity, is somewhat like a chess game, but also not a chess game. Only so many angles, so many directions, and limited to those particular angles and directions where the possible fastest speed is concerned. You're right its not linear; there are literally infinite variations BUT, said variations do not provide the fastest speed.

  • Bodhidharma, was primarily concerned with speed, and believe it or not so was Shang Sangfeng. While the number of techniques is endless, the number of techniques offering the fastest possible speed, isn't. Nothing impressive about what I said; just look into what would have gone into the education of an ancient Tamil region Indian prince, and you will see that the stories of the Shaolin temple regarding Bodhidharma are not myths; he DID invent Kung Fu.

  • @pillsburydoughboy47 -productive read

  • all the stuff I just talked about has already been figured out, namely by Bodhidharma; being a Tamil prince, he would have been educated in both advanced mathematics, as well as the martial arts of his time. In addition, he closely observed nature; using math, and knowledge of the human body it is possible to effectively convert animal movements, for human use. Different martial arts take advantage of, and exploit, the aspects of the human body better than others.

  • also, you can not base a style's effectiveness based solely on victory; there are plenty of gang leaders, street hoods who have never set foot in a Dojo, Kwoon, or Dojang, or MMA gym in their lives who are very effective in a fight. Most street punks are push overs anyone could beat up but a minority of them, can be very dangerous, said minority require up to 5 cops to bring down, and these are not small cops either we are talking 6 foot tall guys.

  • what I hate about MMA is how it operates under the assumption that the Karateka, Boxers, Kickboxers, and heck even Judoka it has encountered, were working at peak physical efficiency when, has any MMA fighter encountered a monster like Kimura for example? When Masahiko Kimura challenged Santana, a BJJ expert and Vale Tudo fighter, he was already in his early 50's, and Santana was in his late 20's. Makes you wonder what Kimura could have done to modern MMA fighters in his peak.

  • Back to Shaolin Kung Fu; in addition to being a martial artist likely assaulted by brigands and thieves on his way to China, and an expert mathematician, Bodhidharma's martial art was tested time and again by ruthless criminals over a period of 1,400 years. Shaolin Kung Fu had both an expert scientific mind for its foundation, and laboratory conditions impossible to ethically replicate (attempted rape and murder, on the men and women who did the Kung Fu).

  • The effectiveness of Tai Chi Chuan, is rooted in the fact that a second brilliant mind (Shang Sangfeng) took what Bodhidharma invented, and gave it even greater efficiency. The reason why the Sun style of Tai Chi is the most effective of all, is because Sun Lu Tang, while not as intelligent as Shang Sangfeng, he was the last Chinese master to be given a classical Chinese education, giving him an understanding of the Daoist arts no other man of his generation had.

  • The most powerful style of Kung Fu in China, is in fact the Sun style; it may not be the oldest, but it is the strongest. Before studying the Sun style, one would need at least 20 years of Shaolin training, and at least 10 years, from any other style of Tai Chi. I personally do not believe the Sun style is a style that should be taught to beginers, I personally don't want to learn it until I have had proper instruction in the Yang style.

  • Looks like a cool movie.

  • For Westerners who would like to see a pugilistic application of Tai Chi Ch'uan please check out Western Tai Chi Ch'uan: Pugilistic Form and Illusive Fighting. This art fits nicely with principles and methodology regarding MMA.

if you are a person who is bigger, stronger and faster than your average peer then external arts would be a better fit for you; especially if you are just beginning a career in fighting.

Tai Chi is the great equalizer for those not in such a category.

  • It is all down to subtle muscle control, the highest levels of human coordination between mind and body. Other arts embrace too much memorizing of movement, tai chi based arts focus on principles of nature. Constant change and adaptation, the forms were created for the laymen and uneducated. The truth is in the understanding of physics and our interaction within it. The sense of touch is connected to the brain and can react quicker than the eye or thought process, and balance holds the key.

  • You really do not know what your talkin' about. Tai Chi only sucks because you never seen a REAL Tai Chi practitoner. Your views are no better than Cock fighting or Dog fighting, the difference is in MMA there is someone their to stop them from killing each other. Once they are gone, there service to the world is done. In real life someone will recognize trouble and avoid it at all cost. Learn this and let go of your ego and your need to control.

  • what did you just say? ofcorse you will try to avoid attack in real life. I didnt argue with that. I only sed, that when it comes to fighting, tai chi suck. the ideology sucks. In fighting systeem most important concepts are: Intercepting The 5 Ways of Attack Non- telegraphic movement Broken Rhythm Killer instinct Strong side forward Preliminary analysis Attribute development Exploding from neutral Foul tactics As far as I understan Tai Chi doesnt fallow mutch to these concepts?
  • @Jitkyundou It is nice to see someone who actually has a understanding of martial arts to comment on martial arts on youtube. I gave up arguing with all the self appointed experts (a.k.a. posers, a.k.a. idiots) a long time ago.

  • @Jitkyundou, your ignorance amuses me, watch 1 video and your already judging it, you need to learn it yourself to realize the importance of this training. There is a reason why the best martial artists came from china, they have been around longer than us, tai-chi for example, 5thousand years, THEY KNOW WHAT THEIR DOING. Also you are contradicting yourself besides misunderstand tai-chi.

  • @Jitkyundou

how bout you go throw yourself off a cliff, eh?

  • WATERBENDING! nice

  • I know. Tai Chi provides defense and counters to attacks most others Martial Arts don't. Thats why it is important to train in one Martial Art and master it, but take parts of other Arts as well, to complete your strength.

  • @Caranuil agreed......

  • lol

  • I practice Shaolin Kung Fu, and we also learn Tai Chi. Not very often, but I also study it myself. Though some say it has no use during combat, thats not near the truth. Its a very powerful force in combat as well.

  • @Caranuil many say it's not good for combat but if you actually studied the history of the most feared clan which is the Wudang clan you'll know that it's very effective. I practice traditional Yang tai chi and in my opinion, it's the best form of martial art I've ever seen (coz it can counter fast attacks like that muay thai)

it is however the hardest martial art to master. nothing great comes easy

  • they use it now on us here. they fight without striking. take over our econony. lol. supreme budha palm kung fu lol

  • The way to apply taichi in fighting is mostly lost. But a selected few people are taught how to use it in battle. Most people look like they are trying to hit mosquitoes (as quoted from my master). Taichi is actually really similar to jujitsu and akido, just more deadly. one move can break off a person's arm.

  • wow a bunch of stupid white guys arguing about something they know fuck all about.

  • Yes white people know nothing. lol, you my friend are ignorant of true spirituality, and will never experience the blessing that martial arts can give.

  • What makes you so fucking special?

  • The path in which I follow. This is what makes each of us special in our own way, the struggle to overcome weakness with true inner strength. This my friend is what makes me special. How about you? What makes you special?

  • Well that was a BS answer.

    Thanks for playing sparky

  • Never, is rather absolute condemnation... is it not? After all, the universe is a myriad of constant change. ;-)

  • Thank you, very true. I only wanted Akaoushi to face himself, not intended as a general statement. I will be more careful in my choice of words.

  • Way to generalize JefferyJamesLippold. Your racist comments make you seem so very enlightened. I practice Buddhism and enjoy Taoist philsophy, but apparently my Tai Chi will always be crap... I was unaware all this time that "true" spirituality and "true" inner strength was in my material genetics. Silly spiritual masters allowing their wisdom to become universally respected!!

  • Exactly, there are many races, one of them is the human race. We are all one.

  • Cheng Xiao Wang the Chan's Tai Chi master@

  • From Prof. Tsung Cheng:

"Tai chi is the shorter version of tai chi chuan, which is * in Chinese. It originated in China. The word 'chi' here stands for the Chinese character which is not the

same as 'chi' or 'qi' in qigong (*) which is another form of ancient Chinese healing art. Qi in qigong means energy, whereas chi in tai chi means top or peak or most or very."

    International Journal of Cardiology 107 (2006) 119

  • Thank you for posting something in a more referential authority. That is exactly what I've been trying to tell people... all I get is grief over it though.

Although the "very" mentioned is referencing "tai". So I'm kind of at conflict, though I generally agree. For example; the mandarin word for sun is "Tai Yang" wherein Tai means very and yang is like the "yin/yang".

I like that you sighted your sources though, that shows an *excellent* degree of professionalism.

    Props.

  • Don't waste your energy on addressing negative comments. You won't convince the others and you are not improving any aspect of yourself. Remember TTC 45:

"The wise steps out of the way

and lets the Tao speak for itself."

  • Touche. Thanks for the reminder.

  • @potrebitel3

i thought 'tai chi' translates as 'grand ultimate', but it represents the birth of yin and yang from a single.

  • i hate it when people spell it chuan! it is spelled quan!!! learn pynying!!!

  • hahha saying chuan its no mistake

  • @taylorhg And I am amazed when people use "i" - learn English. And don't hate - bad for any spiritual practice :-) [plus why pynying? - there are many ways the Westerners can misunderstand and misrepresent an Eastern language - why pick one of them? :-)]

  • @potrebitel3 学中文为什么? 我爱中国. 我爱中文. Chinese is a very beautiful culture and language, its not that hard to understand. It bothers me when people misspell pynyin.

  • @taylorhg It is hard for some to understand. And many people have problems between so simple and related alphabets as Cyrillic and Latin, why do you expect that is easy for non-speaker of the language to be correct? Our languages do not have ways to express all the sounds in Chinese. For example in my coutry, most people pronounce it "tai dzi", while in the USA where I live it is "tai chi". And it's probably somewhere in the middle.

So don't be bothered. It happens :-) I want to learn myself.

  • any1 knows the first song?

  • syphen88 it's obvious that you do not no all their is to tai chi chuan, true many people do not have a clue to the fighting aspects of tai chi, however their are teachers who can and do teach tai chi as a fighting art, you see its not the form that you use it is the concepts from the form such as relaxation, listening, outreaching neutralizing blending being wholeand total grounding, tell me when was the last time you saw some one fight using their form, tai chi kung fu , it's what their doing

  • xxdummy, Thank you for your perspective. I do not recall ever touching on these points. So whatever conclusions you've come to about me are simply prefabricated.

-Tai Chi Kung Fu? Sir please... This is a straw-man comment. Of coarse people don't fight like the form. That's for health.

-Yes it *is* the form (postures) *in conjunction with* the concepts. Otherwise it's a different art... something other that taijiquan.

-Nobody knows everything about taiji... why would you think I do?

    thx

  • you have to understand the forms in order to understand its combat techniques. yes the forms are for health in the beginning. as you learn more you will find that the forms for health are actually combative. every movement has a combat purpose. its to train your mind, body, and spirit patience. to have a firm stance and breath control in combat. its far more sophisticated than a lot of people think it to be.

  • Thank you for your comment. I do agree with you to an extent. I practice Taijiquan on a martial level and have been studying taiji for over 9 years. After considerable time in this art I can tell you that a *lot* of extra trash has been compiled into what people now call "forms". While it's important to know forms for the sake of Taoyin (qigong) it's far more important to focus on Shi San Shi (13 postures). Without them the forms are simply dead of function and purpose.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • i've never really looked at it like that. then again i haven't been studying that long. i'll be sure to have a more clear mind before stating a comment like that. thank you.

  • Watch naruto , you can learn how to be a true ninja

  • Oh genius, so you want to learn to be a "ninja" instead from real-life martial arts, but from an anime ......

Likewise can I learn how to cast spells from scrolls by watching Naruto? LOLOLOL?

  • Yes, I am a prodigy of the magick of Naruto! I am also a gradmaster of the art Chee Do. It's harnesses the animal power of the cheeta!

  • Why would people demerit a joke... wow

  • I think Tiger Woods is the Grand Master of Chee tuh do. lol.
