Leno has funny monologues and Dave's way more creative in terms of interviewing , way funnier. He's kinda an ass but look at the fire he got out of the McCain thing. Leno just sucks up to his guest and that annoys me. Craig Ferguson is the closest heir to Letterman's legacy.

Generally he doesn't but Regis is one of his closest friends. He also appeared on Oprah after their truce, but he is a very private man.

I have seen dave on carson and on O'brien and I have come to the conclusion that he as not only one of the best hosts but hes also one of the best guests you can have on a show....tremendously entertaining

You can't really say that.. Carson was a great man.. I'm 20 (and missed Carson's Late Show)... but with the way that Letterman and Regis speak of him.. he's just a legend.

I totally agree with you!!! He spent 11 years at a great show on NBC and since 1993 he has been on an even greater show on CBS!!!! He's a great stand-up, writer, and interviewer. David Letterman rocks!!!

yeah, the white socks thing has been since the early 80's, during his NBC show. Back then, he wore wrestling shoes with his white socks with his suit.

Ever since the Tonight Show with Carson, Dave has always been great as a guest on someone else's show. He seems to be much more livelier on other people's shows than this own.
