  • IN THE DESCRIPTION DUMBASS

  • Shit !

  • what the point of the crocodile at 1:06? I don't get it

  • 1:13 i thought the pavelow was retiered

  • @runescape2678 NOTE THE YEAR THIS VIDEO WAS POSTED

  • Name of song?

  • ahhh!!! stow a way crocodile!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 3:07 boner

  • I love this video ... thanks schaff70 ....nice nice ...

  • I JUST LOVE THE FACT THAT, "WE" STATIONED ONBOARD THE USS SAIPAN FROM 1996-2001, DEPLOYED OVER AND OVER TO TEST THIS GOOFY PLANE......IT CRASHED AND ALMOST TOOK OUR ISLAND....OFF THE COAST OF S. CAROLINA....(thank god we never got credit for the failure)

  • where did they get the name bataan

  • @phjabbawockidz She is named to honor the defense of the Bataan Peninsula on the western side of Manila Bay in the Philippines during the early days of US involvement in World War II.

  • terrible !

  • dude can u guys stop playing music when a aircraft is in flight dude like i want to here the aircrafts engine not the shittty music u put i gave this video thumbs down

  • Fake! A real Osprey would've flown about uncontrollably before crashing and bursting into flames on the flight deck.

  • I was on the Independance of the Seas last week when the USS Bataan docked at Palma. I had a great view of it being towed in by tugboats from my balcony. I guessed it had come from Libya (which I have now confirmed via internet). I just typed in LHD-5 which is written on its hull to find out which ship it was. Anyone have any idea what exactly it was doing in Palma? I have no idea about the Navy and have no idea whether it was making a pitstop or if it was damaged.

  • Faved just for the croc-man....easily outweighs the music i ain't hearing since my speakers are off :D

  • I wont click dislike ...but the music is really bad...

  • These aircraft actualy have one of the lowest accident ratings for military aircraft. there were a few notable accidents early on that gave them a bad name

  • Fuck who ever dislike this

  • @bUStaCAP333 Probably Muslims.

  • @bUStaCAP333 I was about to click "dislike". It's mostly about the crappy song however.

  • IM guessing that they would be fucked if they were hovering and had an engine failure, but if they were flying a plane, they would cut the engines and glide to safety.

  • @jimkiller12, same with most helicopters. Just cut of the power in the other engine so it doesn't go out of control, try to glide it, and breach for impact, that's why machenics check this machine all the time to make sure it doesn't fail.

  • Next comes the pelican dropship from halo !

  • how does the osprey survive a single engine failiure? can it at all? most aircraft can glide to safety (well... maybe not most heavy duty aircraft...) and I'm pretty sure helicopters have a way of landing with an engine failiure... but the osprey? someone work with me here xD

  • @Bluedrake42 same way as a Chopper.

  • @Dogmeat1950 really? I heard these things just drop out of the sky with a rotar failiure

  • @Bluedrake42 most of you dont know that osprey has linkages allowing one engine to power both rotors.

  • @nakazatoGTR good to know, pretty ingenious actually.

  • @admx94 such existed in 4x4 vehicles and employed on the CH-46 Chinook.

  • cool toys, but its all the about the badass marines who use them.

  • Its all gravy unless your working on one of those... ya need patience and lots of Vaseline... and I know since I'm in ENG dept on this damn thing >.>

  • how...the...hell did that replace the pavelow

  • @Iodrome its not called a pave low, its called a CH-53 Superstallion

  • @McMuffin103 the super stallion was built up and from the ch-53e sea dragon which is a variant of the ch53 pavelow, so its fair to say that the super stallion is a type of pavelow

  • @Iodrome You have no idea what you're talking about. The CH-53 "Pave Low" helos were Air Force versions combat SAR versions of the CH-53A through D series airframes. All of them were equipped with two engines. NO Pave Low airframes were CH-53E variants. Further more, the CH-53E was originally developed to meet Marine Corps heavy-lift requirements; the MH-53E Sea Dragon was developed FROM the CH-53E and put into service for the Navy YEARS after the CH-53E began service with the Marines.

  • This was my last underway. I remember I did not do crap, just walk around and drink coffee. I do have some great footage I should post sometime.

  • Talk about memories. I'm a plank owner on that bad boy. Lol

  • man i want to fly a v-22...

  • Future of aircrafts right here.

  • @Soundofstereos Not really, quite the opposite, the US army has been using things like these for ages, try "US aricraft" on wikipedia, and anyway these are dangerous things to pilot, take a chinook any day.

  • look like a hornet from halo

  • @sjr1821 more like the falcon in halo reach

  • *cough*cough* vertibird from fallout series *cough*

  • @SkullProductions23 Vertibird was based off the osprey

  • arent the osprey suppose to be a flying disaster and coffin?Heard they ha dso much problem with them they wore being investigated

  • harriers !!!!!

  • buen video no le quedo el cocodrilo que sale, pero esta magnifico

  • shitty sounds

  • Boring.. :-(

  • nice

  • CH-53E is wayy better than the crappy MV-22......

  • таких интересных воздушных судов

  • @borbor122 your a fkn asshole.... Even Statlin himself told the Tupolev OKB to copy every thing from the B-29. It was Reverse-Engineered u idiot.Go get some evidence next time before u comment and also how did we rip Germans off of nuclear knowledge?Get the fk outta here...

  • i remember the first time i was an asshole

  • @fireshao30 Oh, I fogot, reverse engineering a highly complex plane is easy!

Do you realy think that? Come on, shut down your playstation man and read some lectures of avionik and mechanical engineering. Or arent you able to do that.

And Planes for the same purpose often have the same shape. Fluid dynamiks defines that.

    And avoid the bad language.

  • there is a uh-60 too

  • 1:45

    seahawks pwn

  • They ain't pretty, what the fuck is that at 1:10? Awesome!

  • MH-53 Pavelow is at 1:10

  • @bambambow You have NO idea what you're talking about. That's not a Pave Low, it's a Marine CH-53E.

  • @rv6builder thanks for the correction....

  • uss bataan is named ater a place in philippines..bataan was a camp of allied forces in ww2..

  • awesome video ty

  • it looks like something out of Terminator at 3:15

  • its the same thing, i think the one in terminator would be more updated

  • I was stationed aboard the USS Iwo Jima LPH-2 and our amphibious assault ships have come a LONNNNG way! Lcacs, Ospreys, AV8s, Lamps. The US rocks!!!

  • @jarrodsk Why does the "US rocks" ?

  • @jarrodsk

  • wow

  • this is the plane that is in Splinter Cell to pick up Sam Fisher :D

  • yo dandie

  • ospreys makeme jiz my pants

  • Music ruins everything on youtube

  • its was crashing because the general in charge was pressing past when the designers considered a safe time line for the aircrafts test flights.

  • you see that in a movie once?

  • No it was an official release, it makes new when they fire a full bird.

  • And because it had a tendency to create a zero-lift vortex around its rotors, due to a malfunction of the flight control software.

  • AaaA a crocodiel :D

  • whats the name of the chopper at 1:10

  • Sikorsky-CH-53

  • Sikorsky-CH-53 Super Stallion

  • cool vid guys!! cheers

  • I see more Harriers than Ospreys!

  • Guys, guys! could you please bomb the remaining abu sayyaf. just one precise bomb and we call it a day.

  • What is the name of the song plaease !!!!

  • Its Million Miles Away by The Offspring

  • name of the song please

  • holy shit they're fast.

  • Everything new is well forgeotten past.

Osprey is nearly a copy of 1959 Russian project Ka-22 google that if interested

  • Not at all: The Ka-22 did not have tilt rotors

  • No it's not. The Ka-22 is just a fixed-wing frame converted into a helicopter. It did not have tilting rotors.

  • and the MiG15 was a copy of a WWII Luftwaffe prototype jet fighter Ta-183

  • and our nuclear technology was ripped off by Russian spies. and the TU-4 Bull was a rip off of our awesome B-29 Superfortress... only 5 years later.... and with much less capability. Do you really want to get into this game?

  • lol you should see the B1-b Lancer. The russians made a copy of it. those stealing douches. they look exactly the same.

  • You ripped off nuclear knowledge from a German scientists... in ww2 your no better than the Russians. And the USSR never revered engineered the b29.

  • @borbor122 "The Tupolev Tu-4 (NATO reporting name: Bull) was a piston-engined Soviet strategic bomber which served the Soviet Air Force from the late 1940s to mid 1960s. It was a reverse-engineered copy of the U.S.-made Boeing B-29 Superfortress."

    Look it up.

  • The Manhattan project wasn't ripped off "German scientists", you illiterate. Most of the scientists were from Europe, but they weren't German (they were mainly Eastern European and Jewish).

German rocket scientists were instrumental in helping NASA. But that was a decade later.

  • its kinda like the hornet

  • i got to sit on one o these

  • hes on the ponsei but hes floating near the battan

  • OMFG my dads on with the ospreys nice!

  • Whats the name of the song?

  • The Offspring - Million Miles Away

  • Thanks :)

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • their gonna replace the harriers with lightning 2s soon, its a better choice harriers cool and all but its complex and its accident rate is not good

  • AIM2MAIM, Look it up dingdong, US Marines have the Harriers, Ospreys, LPH and LPA's. Navy personel to drive the ships, but they belong on our roster as Marine ships, hence the Marine battle names. And If you give me that Dept. of the Navy crap, yeah MEN'S Department. The only decent squid is a Corpsman that is with us in the trenches

  • so cool!

    nicely put together!

  • its a sea stallion

  • Hey guys, I hope you know why it was named after BATAAN... Thanks for the great video. Happy Sailing!

  • its named after an old warzone in the philippines

  • I was on the 26th MEU last year (2007) and we only flew Osprey's on the last day. I know it was the first time they were used to offload troops from an actual naval vessel during a deployment. The footage of them buttoned up and actually lashed down to the deck must have been during workups and trials.

  • USMC correct?

  • thats going to be my life...everyday, im a crew chief on the MV-22...and we are on the USS Bataan for the 22nd MEU...should be a fun float!

  • 3:17 kick ass

  • MV-22 is a brilliant invention. Whats the? song

  • The Offspring - Million miles away

  • mate is a CV-22 , C stand for cargo, V stand for something else

  • okeedokey

  • hurray!! this ship is named after a province in my country philippines!! yeah!! i'm so proud..

  • That formation flypast was awesome...

  • how did the BHR's gator get in there?

  • The U.S.S Bataan was in New York City for the U.S.S Intrepid's return. Along with many other New Yorkers, I had the luxury of being on this fine piece of American steel. It's a beautiful Warship, and the way things are going in this country it helped reassure me of what a great country the United States is!

  • Hey, I was on the USS Bataan when it was in NYC too. The things they had inside and on the flight deck were really cool. Most notably was the hovercraft, and the Osprey.

  • lol whats with the alligator hes awsome

  • These amphibious assault ships are also referred to as "gators". i believe the first one was the uss gator. not sure though

  • FUCK THE MILITARY!....... jk i want to be a USAF pilot when im out of school, or a marine cant decide hmm

  • The Osprey is to the Sea Knight what the Stryker is to the M113.

  • had more harriers then v-22

  • this video is amazing!.. the crocodile is the best thing in it :P

  • Harriers

  • does anybody know the name of those planes that land vertical?
